Essential Skills

· A recognised qualification or proven success as a graphic designer or creative media officer, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

· 1 year of hands-on graphic design experience.

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; Premiere Pro and After Effects desirable).

· Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and attention to detail across print and digital media.

Our charity

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Queen’s Crescent Community Association (QCCA) runs one of the largest and most diverse older people’s services in Camden. We operate in the borough’s most deprived area and annually support around 300 people aged 55+ to live happier, healthier, more connected lives.

The new co-ordinator will be responsible for delivering a full programme of activities.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Lead, manage and deliver the programme for people aged 55+ in Gospel Oak and the surrounding areas.

• Line-manage sessional and part-time staff, overseeing HR, payroll and supervision.

• Recruit, manage and supervise volunteers, ensuring they are actively engaged in designing and delivering services.

• Prioritise outreach and promote the programme locally, building positive relationships with older people, care homes, sheltered housing, health centres and other partners.

• Deliver regular and accurate reporting, including surveys, consultations and data for board meetings, funders and fundraising.

• Plan and deliver a sustainable programme, balancing free activities with occasional fee-paying or volunteer-led sessions through creative thinking.

• Support older people to access internal and external services that promote their mental health and wellbeing.

• Organise specialist talks, workshops, lunches, coffee mornings and activity refreshments, ensuring all supplies, volunteers and logistics are in place.

• Lead on key administrative duties, including registration forms, attendance registers, CRM updates, progress reports, income and expenditure records, Square Up entries, Equals card spreadsheets, petty cash, payroll hours and the Blip database.

• Plan monthly outings, design the monthly events calendar, maintain the mailing list, and ensure all activity reflects good practice models, quality standards and integration with QCCA’s wider services.

We are looking for an excellent communicator who is able to motivate and empower others to join our experienced team supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham. The service supports people to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities and work with Unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

This is a 9 months fixed-term opportunity and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a relevant sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

In this role, you will provide pathways, support, and appropriate interventions to enable successful resettlement. You will also collaborate with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes.

Working in a trauma-informed and psychologically informed environment, you’ll empower residents to achieve their goals and improve their well-being. This role involves working closely with residents during the night, conducting welfare checks, providing guidance, and responding to individual needs. You will ensure the smooth running of the night service by conducting welfare checks, supporting residents, and handling any issues that arise. The role includes completing administrative tasks and providing thorough handovers with day staff and managers to maintain consistent service.

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service

• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

Role

Working within the Individual Giving team, you’ll have a varied role managing and supporting the delivery of supporter-centric fundraising appeals which will recruit, retain and/or develop supporters across the cause-led, gaming, in memory and legacy programmes. These appeals will include utilising online and offline channels such as direct mail, organic and paid social advertising, email, private sites, SMS and telemarketing.

This role would suit someone with some experience of marketing or fundraising or who would like to expand their experience of Individual Giving.

What we’re looking for

• Direct marketing or related experience, including planning, delivering and evaluating campaigns.
•  Knowledge of direct marketing methods to recruit, retain and grow supporters.
• Ability to write engaging, emotive copy for varied channels and audiences.
• Experience managing suppliers and working with supporter databases, including audience segmentation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently, using initiative.
• Skilled at building collaborative relationships internally and externally.
• Fast learner with strong prioritisation and evaluation skills.

Are you passionate about climate justice and peace? Could you use your campaigning experience and outstanding communication skills to support Quaker work to build a more peaceful and sustainable world?

Quakers in Britain is looking for a Campaigns Coordinator to be part of a small team working on issues of climate justice and peace. The successful candidate will work to support and strengthen Quaker activism, contribute to coalition-based campaigns and ensure that Quaker voices are heard in policymaking.

You will work flexibly across climate justice and peace issues, according to need and agreed priorities, initially working principally to support our climate justice campaigns

From writing newsletters and running workshops to designing campaign actions with partner organisations, this is an exciting and varied role in an environment where everyone’s input is valued.
