We’re looking for an experienced Evaluation Manager to join our team of researchers and analysts to deliver and develop our evaluation projects, to help build an evidence-base for engineering and technology outreach activities and shape how we use this evidence to inform our own and others’ practice.

This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in designing, implementing and reporting on process and impact programme evaluations – most of which focus on young people - utilising quantitative and qualitative methodologies, conducting evidence reviews, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders. You’ll work with colleagues to embed learnings and develop advice and guidance to support the engineering outreach activity more widely.

About the role

At EngineeringUK we use evidence to make a real difference. Through research insight and robust evaluation, we work to improve the impact of our own work, as well as that of other organisations in our sector. Our aim is to make a positive difference to young people’s lives and securing the diverse engineering and technology workforce the UK needs to thrive. The research and evaluation team consists of 6 researchers and analysts who work to provide these insights.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver and develop our evaluation projects, to help build an evidence-base for engineering and technology outreach activities and to shape how we use this evidence to inform our own and others’ practice.

With support from the Head of Evaluation and Impact, you will be the operational lead on our evaluations, with responsibility for:

• critically assessing the evidence required to ascertain impact of engineering and technology outreach activities across a complex landscape, with an emphasis on groups historically underrepresented in the engineering and technology professions
• designing and managing the evaluation of our educational programmes, including the practicalities and logistics of collecting/analysing these data, and reporting findings to internal and external stakeholders
• working with colleagues to embed learning from evaluation findings into our future activities and the wider evidence base on the impact of engineering outreach activity
• developing advice and guidance on evaluation and impact measurement to support the engineering outreach community to evaluate their activity more robustly.
   

This job would ideally suit an experienced monitoring and evaluation professional interested in evaluating education programmes with a focus on increasing opportunities for young people from underrepresented groups.

Essential Skills / Competencies

• Knowledge of and experience in using evaluation techniques/practices, ideally with familiarity of education outreach programmes
• Ability to design and use quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and analyse these data using widely used analysis software (for example, SPSS, STATA, R, CAQDAS)
• Experience in undertaking literature searches and reviews, identifying relevant evidence, appraising its quality, and summarising the body of existing work
• Excellent time and project management skills, with experience working on multiple projects at once, adapting to changing priorities, and meeting hard deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to lead evaluation projects independently, from conception to dissemination
• Proactive in identifying evaluation opportunities and driving projects forward

We are looking for a strategic, impact-driven Community Programmes Manager – to lead the continued growth and development of our Community Engagement Programme and our Garden Programme in alignment with our recently launched 2030 strategy.

Role Requirements

• Work in collaboration with the Senior Placement Managers and multidisciplinary team to manage the child’s pathway from the time they are accepted for admission, through their care pathway and discharge.
•  Work with Senior Placement Managers and Senior Business Development & Commissioning Manager to ensure the package and contract issued to funders is appropriate for the child’s needs and is regularly reviewed to ensure the care needs.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams across school and child and family services to ensure that all clinical and contractual requirements for the child are comprehensively managed.
• Escalate complex and unresolved issues for support to ensure a positive outcome.
•  Ensure the parents/guardians, multidisciplinary team are aware pre-admission and throughout the admission of the arrangements for the admission, including length of stay and discharge plans.
• Take on the lead role for discharge coordination for children and young people accessing neurorehabilitation and step-down placements. Proactively plan discharges including liaison with multiagency teams required to take over care. Where appropriate, chairing discharge planning meetings.

About the role:
You’ll join a growing organisation during an exciting period of change, helping deliver excellent housing services for over 1,000 residents. Reporting to the Housing Manager, you'll manage a patch of properties and be responsible for a range of tenancy management functions, including lettings, rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, and resident engagement. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to support residents’ independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering tenancy services such as allocations, lettings, tenancy audits, and rent management
• Managing anti-social behaviour cases and ensuring legal use of housing stock
• Supporting residents with rehousing, transfers, mutual exchanges, and benefits advice
• Building strong relationships with residents and engaging them in service delivery
• Working with contractors, third parties, and internal teams to deliver responsive services
• Maintaining accurate records and working to KPIs on income and tenancy sustainment

To perform well in this role, you’ll need:

• Experience of delivering excellent customer service, ideally within housing or support services
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• The ability to remain calm and empathetic when handling complex or sensitive issues
• A good grasp of IT and CRM systems, plus strong numerical skills
• A proactive, can-do approach to service delivery
• An understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in the context of social housing

Previous experience in Social Housing is preferred but not essential.

The role

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Full-Time (35 hrs per week)

Place of work: Hybrid, with a requirement to attend the office in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, once a month and 4 times a year for our mandatory All Staff Together days.

This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions.  This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.

Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role.  You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough.

The Role

The Community Centre Manager will play a key role in the leadership and smooth running of The Edward Woods centre, managing change, growth and performance as agreed with the CEO. Working closely with the UPG Management team, employees, partners, contractors, volunteers and other local organisations, the Manager will work to ensure the

Duties and Responsibilities

Management of the Community Centre

• Manage the operations of the Community Centre, its staff and the development and delivery of activities and facilities in line with the business and strategic plan.

• Ensure compliance with employment law and that we follow good practice regarding HR.

• Contribute to the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the business and strategic plan and present regular progress updates to the UPG Management team.

• Oversee the maintenance of the building - including building maintenance and improvement

programmes.

• Manage and monitor all aspects of risk assessments, health and safety and security as required by regulation or good practice including, in conjunction, the review and updating of

policies and procedures.

Management of staff and Volunteers

• Support and oversee the continued delivery of high-quality services and activities.

• Devise and implement robust impact monitoring and evaluation strategies for all projects.

Edward Woods Community Centre has a small team of employees, tenants, volunteers and a

wide range of activities. it is expected that the post holder will be flexible in assisting in areas of work which go beyond their main duties. In particular, the holder of this post will be expected to assist with covering frontline reception and administrative duties and attendance at and/or supervision of events outside of normal working hours.

Redemption Roasters Barista Trainer

Role summary:

To deliver barista training courses in HMP High Down and HMP Downview. The goal of the training is to prepare residents for employment in hospitality on release.

Overview:
Redemption Roasters is looking to appoint a skilled and passionate barista to deliver training courses in HMP High Down and HMP Downview.  Both prisons are located in Sutton. The training will be delivered to small groups of prison residents who are looking to learn a new skill and are interested in a career in hospitality on release. The successful applicant will be offered comprehensive on-boarding training, with opportunities to shadow experienced trainers.

Duties:

• Deliver a tried and tested Redemption Roasters barista training course, including espresso preparation, milk steaming technique and pouring, alternative brewing methods, cleaning equipment, and basic grinder and machine maintenance. 
• Liaise with prison staff, including the Prison Employment Lead and Activities Manager, to ensure courses are well-attended.
• Act as a positive role model for course participants and encourage participants to grow outside of their comfort zones whilst respecting professional boundaries.
• Conduct basic assessments during the course, coordinate the completion of feedback forms, and track learner journeys, in line with the guidance given by the prisons.
• Provide one-to-one support to facilitate sustainable employment for interested participants on their release. 
• Deliver additional training to participants as is required; this would typically be in Redemption Roasters 13 coffee shops. 
• Other ad-hoc tasks to support the smooth running of the programme in HMP High Down, HMP Downview and wider success of the Impact team at Redemption Roasters. 

Schedule:

• On joining the team, the Barista Trainer will complete a minimum of three-weeks of on-boarding training. This will include an induction to HMP High Down and HMP Downview and shadowing experienced Redemption Roasters trainers in a prison environment.
• During a 12 month period, the Barista Trainer will deliver 7 three-week courses in HMP High Down and 6 one week courses in HMP Downview. 
• During training delivery weeks, the Barista Trainer will typically be based in prison Monday - Thursday (with the Trainer arriving at the prison for 8am), with Fridays in the Redemption Roasters HQ in Kings X, London. 
• During non-delivery weeks, the Barista Trainer will visit the prisons to support course recruitment (usually one day a week), as well as delivering one-to-one support and ‘top up’ training to participants working across the Redemption Roasters coffee shops.

Personal specification:

Essential

• 2+ years' experience as a barista and/or barista training
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Empathetic and kind, with a strong belief in the Redemption Roasters mission 

Desirable

• SCA Certifications
• Experience working with vulnerable people

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the Group VAT Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that the BMA Group (BMA and BMJPG) properly accounts for VAT and meets their statutory return, including overseas equivalents. You will proactively ensure that the finance systems and internal processes across the group are compliant and will manage relationships with external advisors and HMRC, as the organisation’s VAT Subject Matter Expert.

To be successful as a Group VAT Accountant you'll ideally have:

• Accounting Qualification (CCAB) (essential)
• Significant experience in VAT within a commercial organisation (essential)
• Previous experience of working in a VAT compliance role (essential)
• Knowledge of applying VAT law and how it affects corporations.
• Knowledge and understanding of UK, EU and global VAT compliance issues
• Good relationship building and management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy and data analysis skills
