The Deputy Director main responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and risk management aligned with organisational values and Arts Council Investment Principles.
- Co-lead the business plan and long-term strategy with the Director, translating goals into operational delivery.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, audits, payroll, procurement, cash flow, statutory reporting, and fundraising and income generation strategies, ensuring compliance and value for money.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports to public funders, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure legal and governance compliance across charity, company, employment, safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection; support the Board of Trustees with reports and governance documentation.

The England Project Management Team manage all sorts of projects, from species recovery at a landscape scale to infrastructure repairs and commercial developments. Each day as a Project Development Manager is different. You might find yourself chairing a project team meeting one day, visiting a construction site the next, and negotiating with contractors the day after that.
As a Project Development Manager, you will directly manage some of the most ambitious and complex projects within the RSPB. Key activities will include:
- Develop and manage one or more complex projects at any one time. To include budget management, stakeholder management, risk management, contractor procurement and other tasks as required.
- Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project success by focusing on a common goal.
- Develop and oversee a pipeline of projects that contribute to delivery against strategic priorities, working with regional/country management teams.
- Provide support & advice to the regional /country management team to enable them to use the PMF effectively to deliver strategic priorities and successful projects (including ensuring project assurance is in place).
- Line management of more junior project management team members.
- Provide advice and support to colleagues on project management best practice, helping to build overall project management capability across England.

The Charity
James’ Place works to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis. We are a charity offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle.
James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts, but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. The first James’ Place opened in June 2018 in Liverpool, the first of its kind in the UK. In 2022 we opened a new centre in London and in early in 2023 we launched an appeal to raise over £10m to fund three more centres across the country. Our third centre opened in Newcastle at the beginning of 2024, and we are currently raising funds to open a James’ Place in Birmingham. We have treated over 3,600 men in suicidal crisis to date.
The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our administration team during a time of growth and development across the charity. The successful candidate will take a key role in ensuring our operations and administration processes run as smoothly and efficiently as possible through central administration cover and project work.
Person Specification
You will be joining a small, dedicated, administration team at James’ Place and will regularly connect with the wider clinical and management teams. Whilst based within our London centre, your work will cross-cover all our centres and teams. This role requires someone with both excellent organisational and people skills with the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a range of stakeholders including men in distress. Your administration skills will be vital, and you will be able to work with a broad range of IT, including shared Outlook inboxes and calendars. You will feel comfortable using the full Office 365 suite and have the necessary organisation skills to maintain the highest standards of record keeping. Principal accountabilities of the role
Central Administration
· Covering daily administrative tasks and duties across all centres including:
· Being the first point of contact for referrers and men in distress, greeting visitors, answering the phone, booking appointments, and responding to email enquiries.
· Dealing with enquiries over email and telephone, scheduling/amending appointments and taking messages as required.
· Speaking to men in distress who have contacted the centre and, where appropriate, taking self-referrals over the phone.
· Processing referrals and maintaining accurate records at all times in line with our administrative procedures.
· Supporting users of the service to access information about other agencies.
· Maintaining a safe and tidy environment in all areas of the centre and monitoring/replenishing stocks.
· Completing electronic filing, shredding, and general office admin.
· Providing admin support to the wider team as required e.g. recording and sharing meeting minutes.
· Maintaining an effective appointment system ensuring all the resources at James’ Place are used efficiently.

Working closely with the Programme Manager (Arts, Culture and Heritage) and Head of UK Programmes, the Grant Manager (Arts, Culture and Heritage) will be responsible for the development, delivery, and management of a significant portfolio of grants across the Arts, Culture and Heritage Programme. The Person:
The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the UK arts, culture and heritage sectors' funding ecology, policy environments and cultural, social and economic impact. About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). This is a full time role on fixed term contract. Hybrid working would be available for this role. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse who live in Central Bedfordshire. This role will be part of our other wider specialist services covering Bedfordshire.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service trough individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training
- Supporting the Daily Domestic Abuse meeting in the IFD (Integrated Front Door), which discusses all medium/standard risk referrals that have come in over the previous 24 hours and agrees on the most appropriate source of advice and support for the family.
- Attending the BRiF meetings weekly where community partners bring concerns about family's they are working with including concerns about standard/medium domestic abuse.
- Professional point of contact for the IFD and Adult Safeguarding teams (also based at Priory House).
- Point of contact for any concerns staff have about their own relationships and dynamics of domestic abuse they need support with
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

Background and purpose
We are the only UK-wide charity for everyone affected by a genetic and acquired bleeding disorder.
At the Haemophilia Society (THS) we want to empower everyone affected by a bleeding disorder to live life to the full, whatever your stage in life.
One in 2,000 men, women and children in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder, which are a group of conditions, including haemophilia and von Willebrand disorder, that result when the blood cannot clot properly.
As many as a third of bleeding disorder diagnoses have no known family history and can be the result of a random gene mutation. This means a bleeding disorder diagnosis can come completely out of the blue.
THS brings together people with bleeding disorders and their families to share experiences and understand more about how to live well with a bleeding disorder. Together, we can all make a difference.

About the role
We’re incredibly lucky to have a generous and dedicated community who are always looking for new ways to support our work. We are looking for a passionate fundraiser who can take ownership of our community fundraising and empower our members and supporters in their fundraising ventures. You’ll act as the face of THS for people looking to raise money in a variety of wonderful ways – ensuring they have what they need to be as successful as possible. This will include managing a number of key events such as the London Marathon, Ride London and Swim Serpentine.
This role would be ideal for someone with 2-3 years’ experience and looking to take the next step in their fundraising career. Community Fundraising

Our Organisers and some project teams work closely with our member institutions and will be expected to attend member events that take place in the evenings and occasional weekends. We operate a Time Off in Lieu approach and have very flexible working arrangements to ensure a good work-life balance.
Please note that the role is Essex-wide and, as such, there is a practical expectation that the successful candidate will be able to drive between key locations across the county (with associated mileage costs being covered by Citizens UK).
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. DBS checks are renewed on a 3-year cycle.

This is a new role at Befriending Networks, as we seek someone who is up for the challenge of fundraising to support the continuation of our work in supporting the network of befriending organisations and ensuring that meaningful social connection is available to all.
The role will work closely with the CEO to deliver a fundraising strategy, which will focus on trusts, grant-givers, and corporate collaborations across the UK.
You will be a skilled communicator, and you will be influential in how you present our work. You will be a self-starter and someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work. You will be courageous and curious as you work to position Befriending Networks as an investable charity.
The key focus of this role
1. Generate income from small grants from trusts and foundations for specific projects and activities over the short to medium term.
2. Assist the CEO in the preparation of strategic grant applications for work across the UK, with an initial focus on England, Scotland and Wales to deliver key priorities of our Strategic Plan over the longer term.
3. Development of potential corporate partnerships and collaborations.
