About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled and dedicated Compliance, Risk, and Audit team. The team compromises a Director, Head of Service, and 3 experienced officers, with this role completing the team as the 4th officer. Although the team is small in size, they deliver work of significant depth, strategic importance, and exceptional quality across SIG. They play a vital role in supporting SIG's strategic direction through its commitment to high standards of Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Continuous Improvement.
As we have an increasing focus on integrated safety and assurance framework, this role contributes to maintaining a safe and transparent working environment, to help protect and empower staff, residents, and participants, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you will drive professional and effective compliance, risk, audit and safety standards, policies, and processes which embed systems which can be used to develop a safe and inclusive environment for all. You will deliver support in data protection, health and embed frameworks throughout SIG which are in line with regulatory and legislative change.
- Review reported AINMs and Safeguarding alerts and work collaboratively with teams to implement effective remedial actions, supporting future mitigation
- Conduct regular service visits and team meetings, focusing on safety reviews, training, and provide practical, informed guidance during these engagements
- Manage data and analyse trends, creating high quality reports, which are clear and readable
- Facilitate and support organisational complaints processes to ensure adherence to policy, timescale, and best practice
- Investigate and lead on whistleblowing concerns and assist the audit and compliance team, champions, Managers, P&C and other relevant teams in acting appropriately on concerns raised and protecting the whistleblower
About you
- Previous experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
- Previous experience in governance systems and structures which could include auditing, risk management, investigations, and report writing
- Previous experience in managing quality standards
- Working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs
- Ability to write reports in a clear, readable format
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Awareness and understanding of the impact of stigma and marginalisation on people who have multiple complex needs
- Working knowledge and experience of up-to-date legislation in health and safety in care and support settings, and ability to continuously monitor

This role will be home-based with all necessary IT equipment provided therefore applicants will need an appropriate space to work at home. Regular travel will be required to attend events and visit partners to spread the word about the service and build referral pathways nationwide. There will be occasional travel required for national team meetings in Richmond. These currently take place 3 times a year and require an overnight stay. There will also be periodic in-person meetings with colleagues which can take place at a convenient location locally.

The Role
The Administrative Officer will play a key role in helping to ensure the smooth running of HEP’s operations, events, and communications, and in delivering the high-quality service that underpins our success. Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- First point of contact for schools, clients, suppliers, and visitors triaging issues and responding efficiently and helpfully to queries in person, via phone, and by email
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including maintaining records and supporting internal workflows and some internal team communications

Event / Visitor Coordination
- Prepare and manage meeting rooms and training venues liaising with trainers and delegates

CPD Support

Working arrangements

What will I be doing?

What are you looking for?
Significant experience and in-depth understanding of principal gift fundraising and stewardship, with a record of securing or stewarding gifts at the £500k+ level.
Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability and to be a strong team player.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including experience in writing and managing the development of funding proposals and stewardship reports for a principal gift/high value audience.
Outstanding track record of managing complex projects including the ability to work effectively on numerous projects simultaneously.
Experience of working with senior stakeholders including executive staff, board members and high value donors or partnerships
Excellent strategic thinking with an ability to manage and execute long-term projects that can drive change.

Overall purpose of the role
As part of a multi-faceted and busy fundraising team, the Events Product Development Lead will take a significant role in strategically planning and delivering a portfolio of new fundraising events to raise funds for Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charities. This role will support the strategic development and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising events aimed at increasing income and diversifying our funding base. You’ll collaborate with teams from all corners of the partnership to test and scale the best ideas. The focus of this role is our virtual and owned events portfolio. This is a strategically significant growth area for the GST Charities and is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact. Fundraising Innovation is part of the wider strategy across GST Charities. Key Responsibilities
· Innovate and develop new supporter led products in collaboration with the Senior Events Manager and Head of Strategy & Innovation, with a focus on virtual events and owned events, along with any other opportunities within this space.
· Oversee product delivery from planning to evaluation, collaborating with experts internally and externally, attending events, and representing GST Charities positively.

About the role
This new role will be part of our Supporter Engagement team, which includes Special and Challenge Events Fundraising, Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Supporter Care. Our Special Events programme has expanded significantly in recent years, and we
have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. As part of this, we organise a diverse range of fundraising events, including a Comedy Night, Garden Party, Sports Quiz, Carol Service and Gala dinner.
Working closely with the Head of Supporter Engagement, the Special Events Officer will play a key role in developing and managing our special events programme. This includes overseeing multiple aspects of event planning and execution, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to produce high-quality event materials and ensuring that every event runs smoothly. Additionally, you will help manage key relationships and maximise fundraising income.
A key focus of this role will be leading the organisation of our annual Carol Service at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, while also exploring opportunities to develop a new special event that diversifies our income streams and broadens our audience.
