• Lead the end-to-end design, development and pilot delivery of CPD courses and other learning programmes.
• Lead go to market (GTM) planning and execution for new and re-launched learning programmes to achieve RCR Learning’s commercial targets.
• Plan, undertake and synthesise market research and user testing activities to ensure new products are innovative, meet market demand and are financially viable.
• Lead reviews and redevelopment of existing short courses, ensuring products evolve to meet learners’ needs and market changes.

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The latest research suggests that 2.7 million children are at risk of hunger, meaning one in five children don’t have enough to eat. When a child is too hungry to learn, they struggle to concentrate, absorb information, and manage their emotions, causing them to fall behind in their studies.

Magic Breakfast provides a nutritious breakfast to over 300,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target children most in need without barrier or stigma.

We are now at an exciting point in our journey as we launch Nourishing Futures, our long-term strategy, which will scale our impact and redefine breakfast spaces not only as places to eat, but as places to thrive.

To support the delivery of this strategy, we are evolving our Business Development function with the creation of a new role – Head of Business Development. This role will enable continue growth and investment from public funding sources, whilst ensuring that we are able and positioned to capitalise on the growing number of commercial opportunities. It will also lead a move  towards more innovative and blended income models across England, Wales and Scotland.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the Business Development function as an innovation hub, proactively horizonscanningfor opportunities across public funding, commercial activity, and philanthropicgiving. Ensure the team can respond with agility and flex resources to pursue the moststrategic and sizeable opportunities, including blended income streams and complex,multi-strand bids or partnerships that span commissioning, corporate, and philanthropy.

About the role

As our National Lead for Domestic Abuse, you will:

• Lead the development and delivery of a national approach and best practice for domestic abuse services, working collaboratively with internal experts and stakeholders.
• Drive the continual improvement of service quality, embedding robust procedures, quality assurance frameworks, and evidence-based practice.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of resources, tools, and interventions that support victims and enhance service effectiveness.
• Champion co-production with victims, ensuring their experiences inform service design and delivery.
• Support the development of funding bids and new service opportunities, working closely with the Business Development Team.
• Build and nurture relationships across the organisation to ensure consistent, high-quality support for people affected by domestic abuse.

About you

You will have:

• Demonstrable experience developing and delivering services for victims of domestic abuse, ensuring accessibility and engagement for people with diverse backgrounds and needs.
• In-depth knowledge of the criminal justice system and its impact on victims.
• Experience working in partnership to support domestic abuse service development and delivery.
• Proven ability to engage with victims in co-production, and a strong appreciation of the dynamics of domestic abuse in different settings.
• A track record of effective project management and stakeholder engagement in complex organisations.
• Thorough knowledge of safeguarding issues and practical experience of safeguarding policy and processes.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to removing barriers to support.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities and work with Unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

This is a 9 months fixed-term opportunity and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a relevant sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

• Lead the planning, delivery, and growth of flagship challenge events, including a major endurance event and a multi-location walking series.
