For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.  We are about to embark on an exciting journey which will see the charity evolve to support anyone affected by a military-connected bereavement and ultimately empower a community of more than 25,000 bereaved individuals and their families by 2035.

Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, the charity currently offers a unique blend of emotional, practical, and educational support to over 750 young people.

Role Mission.

To lead the creation and delivery of Scotty’s new navigating entitlements casework (START) Programme, a single point of contact service designed to support anyone affected by military-connected bereavement. 

This is a hands-on, pioneering role. You’ll help shape the infrastructure, recruit and lead a small squad of caseworkers, and ensure that everyone in the bereaved military community receives compassionate, personalised, and well-coordinated support. 

The key responsibilities of this role are:

Service Design & Delivery 

• Working closely with the Head of Service, lead the operational planning and phased rollout of the START Programme

• Develop and refine service model, workflows, triage criteria, and beneficiary journeys 

• Own the SPOC offer, ensuring clear onboarding, needs assessments, support plans, and follow-up 

• Ensure the service is trauma-informed, inclusive, and responsive to beneficiary feedback 

• Manage your own caseload alongside Programme Head responsibilities. 

Team Leadership & Development 

• Help recruit and then directly support 1 initial caseworker (with potential to grow team in 2027 depending on demand) 

• Provide coaching, oversight, and reflective practice opportunities for squad members 

• Create a strong squad culture that reflects The Scotty’s Way and encourages personal growth 

• Lead START Programme Daily Huddles 

Collaboration & Partnership 

• Build strong referral pathways with external organisations (military & non-military charities, NHS, social care) 

• Become the charity’s expert on navigating entitlements for the bereaved community. 

• Work collaboratively with other Programme leads to ensure consistency, shared learning & efficient internal referrals 

• Support the Head of Service in forming partnerships that enhance START’s offer 

Monitoring & Evaluation 

• Track and report on beneficiary engagement, support outcomes, and follow-up actions 

• Use insights, working with the Head of Research & Impact, to adapt and improve the service over time 

• Ensure CRM records are complete, accurate, and used to inform delivery decisions 

Contribution to Charity-Wide Goals 

• Feed into cross-functional projects including Outreach, Fundraising, and Strategy 

• Act as a representative of Scotty’s at sector events or external meetings where appropriate 

• Support content development by sharing anonymised stories, insights, and themes 

The 30-day goals for this role are:

• Built a deep understanding of Scotty’s mission, our audience, the services we provide, and strategic direction.
• Worked closely with the Head of SUPPORT to understand the history of Scotty’s helping families navigate entitlements, including reviewing current and recent cases. 
• Began to map the key stakeholders, partners and organisations (including statutory, charitable and others) for casework in the START Programme. 

The 60-day goals for this role are:

• Scoped and met with key stakeholders. 

• Worked with Head of Service to map the new casework (START) programme and beneficiary journeys.

• Worked with the Head of Service and the Head of Impact to ensure that processes are in place to monitor the outcomes and impact of the new START Programme. 

• With the Head of Service, supported the design of a light CRM for initial use in START casework.

• Drafted all other necessary processes and procedures for casework including safeguarding, triage, wait time limits etc.

• Drafted a training plan for new START caseworkers. 

The 90-day goals for this role are:

• Launched the new START Programme.

• Built strong partner networks for any needed referrals or information gathering to support casework.

• Created a road map of future Programme releases (e.g. new services within the programme, themes, cohort specific activities etc).

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated major gifts fundraiser to join our small fundraising team to contribute to our ambitious goal to raise £20 million across 4 years – our Be the Spark campaign.

You will need to be a collaborative self-starter who wants to make an impact, working at all levels of the organisation to build and develop the relationships that will enable the Ri to succeed. You will be used to identifying, researching and managing a portfolio of major donors or high value clients and comfortable working with donors at the highest levels.

This role is responsible for driving major donor engagement and income by proactively identifying and cultivating new supporters aligned with our mission.

The postholder will work collaboratively across the Ri and fundraising team to build strong relationships, develop innovative and compelling proposals, and deliver exceptional account management and stewardship to existing donors. About the role

We are the UK’s largest independent non-profit investigative newsroom. Our reporting is published by media partners around the world and holds power to account across five areas: environment, health, big tech, dirty money and local power.

This role will manage 2–3 of our editorial teams, providing strategic fundraising support to help them deliver journalism that drives real-world change. Our fundraising

The Bureau is almost entirely funded through grants and donations – without our supporters, we couldn’t do what we do. Over recent years, we’ve grown to a team of 35 people with an annual income of £2.8m, backed by a committed network of trusts, foundations, and individuals.

This is an exciting time to join our fundraising team as we build on those strong relationships and explore new ways to diversify our income.

Responsibilities

• Work with project leads to develop their ideas into a strong case for support, translating complex issues into powerful, accessible narratives for funders.

• Manage relationships with existing funders, ensuring timely reporting, effective stewardship and continued support.

• Research and develop a pipeline of new prospects.

• Write compelling proposals and applications to secure new grants.

• Collaborate with our other Fundraising Manager, who leads on the remaining themes, and provide support in those areas when needed.

About the Role
Fundraising and philanthropic advocacy are at the heart of GiveOut’s work. As Philanthropy Coordinator, you will be a key member of the Philanthropy team, supporting our philanthropy programme and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Senior Philanthropy Officers.

You will have responsibilities in three main areas: helping with internal programme coordination, supporting colleagues on key donor relationships and fundraising, and events.

• Internal Programme & Team Coordination

ABOUT THE ROLE

Safeguarding Manager

Team: Planning Governance and Assurance

As Safeguarding Manager, you will be the trusted guide and lead voice for Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. Your role is to nurture a safe and welcoming environment for everyone connected to the charity. You will bring expertise and thoughtful coordination to safeguarding matters, helping colleagues feel supported and confident. You will carefully assess risks and put clear, practical steps in place to reduce them, always strengthening the charity’s safeguarding framework. You will inspire and uphold a positive safeguarding culture, encouraging every team member to follow policies with care and compassion. This position is about protecting people, building trust, and ensuring that safety is woven into the heart of everything we do.

What You’ll Be Doing

• You will lead Walk Wheel Cycle Trust’s compliance with safeguarding requirements and legislation, ensuring safety is always central to our work.
• You will take a proactive role in spotting safeguarding risks and will design supportive plans to reduce or resolve any issues.
• You will guide and nurture the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) network, offering kind and steady line management to DSOs while fostering a culture of care and responsibility across the charity.

Key Responsibilities

• You will take care of complex or serious safeguarding concerns, using sound judgement to apply the Serious Incident Policy and report matters to the appropriate governing bodies.
• You will collaborate with Directors and Heads across the charity, helping to promote safeguarding awareness and good practice throughout the UK.
• You will escalate safeguarding issues directly to the Executive Safeguarding Lead and other senior colleagues when needed, offering thoughtful recommendations on actions and solutions that protect and support everyone involved.

About you and the role

The purpose of this role is to support engagement with schools and multi-academy trusts by coordinating outreach, responding to enquiries, and helping to deliver our engagement activities. You will work closely with the Engagement Manager to implement engagement plans and ensure effective communication with schools and partners.

You will be supported by the Engagement Manager, Co-Director of Partnerships and Impact, and work closely with the Senior Programme Managers, Programme Managers and Communications team. 

You will support the Engagement Manager to deliver our school engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals and funded programme commitments. You’ll be a key first point of contact for schools and Multi-Academy Trusts, assessing their suitability and needs before referring them to the appropriate programme.

Working with the Engagement Manager, you’ll create marketing strategies to generate interest and participation in our programmes through direct mail, digital marketing campaigns, and in-person at conferences and events and meetings with prospective school partners. 

You’ll help build the engagement pipeline, support onboarding to ensure a smooth handover for training participants and schools to our programme delivery teams.

This role will be primarily based in London, but will include supporting the engagement of schools in locations across the UK as we scale and develop new hubs. You will be joining a dynamic and growing charity who are passionate about delivering exceptional training, skill sharing, expertise and know-how to advance the quality of food preparation, food service and food education in schools.

You will ideally have an understanding of the education sector and have strong people skills with the ability to build relationships and manage effective partnerships with external organisations.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Engagement Manager in delivering school engagement plans and activities, ensuring they align with our organisational marketing strategy.

• Help build and maintain positive relationships with schools, academy trusts and partner organisations, with the support of the Engagement Manager.

• Maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant school, participant, partner and engagement information.

• Support the delivery of engagement campaigns - helping with content and materials, logistics, scheduling, and coordinating with the Communications team.

• Represent Chefs in Schools at national and regional conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to promote our programmes and mission.

• Coordinate event logistics such as registrations, attendance tracking, and follow-up communications, supporting colleagues where needed.

• Provide administrative support within the wider Partnerships and Impact team.

Skills & experience:

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve child health through improving food and food education in schools.

• You’re an excellent writer and communicator with strong presentation and communication skills.

• You have experience of maintaining and building relationships with a wide range of audiences.

• You have experience of using CRM software.

• You have experience supporting outreach or engagement activity, ideally within education, food, charity or related fields.

We are looking for a highly organised, digitally confident person to help us run a new online resource hub for schools and kitchen teams. The national school food hub will give school chefs and staff across the country access to resources, online training and support to build a positive food culture. 

You will play a key role in making sure the hub is kept up to date, easy to use and continually adapted to the needs of its members.  Day to day, you will look after the website content and user journeys, monitor the member forums, manage our CRM systems, and report on data to help the team understand how the hub is being used.

This role will initially support the set up and roll-out of the national school food resource hub, in collaboration with internal and external partners. With the hub still in its design phase, you will be joining at a crucial time, to ensure it is ready to launch in the Spring. Our ultimate goal is that every school in the country has access to, and is using the resource hub to support their crucial role in shaping kids’ eating habits for life.

Working closely with the Membership Programme Manager and Content and Resource Officer, your role will be to manage the day to day administration of the resource hub, ensuring it is continually updated with new content, resources & recipes and live event details.

You will support the creation and maintenance of the e-learning modules, and with a national forum for school chefs embedded on the site, you will also be responsible for monitoring and moderating user generated content. 

Your role will also include maintaining and updating the platform's CRM, ensuring member information is accurate and up to date, supporting the administration process for new members, and responding to member queries relating to the site or their access. 

You will also support the team & partners by providing data to support the development of the platform and for the monitoring & evaluation team to demonstrate the impact of our work. 

Other elements to the role will include sending mailers & newsletters through the platform and supporting our Procurement Manager with analysis of procurement data.

• Complete regular procurement and programme data analysis, including cleaning, organising and visualising data to help the team understand trends and identify gaps.

• Prepare simple dashboards and reports on website usage, CRM data and e-learning engagement, using agreed templates.

• Share data and analysis with internal and external stakeholders in clear, accessible formats.

• Support teams to send email mailers and newsletters through the platform.

• Help to maintain basic documentation for the hub, such as user guides, FAQs and internal process notes.

 Essential skills & experience:

• Strong digital confidence and interest in websites, online tools and data.

• Ensure brand consistency and tone of voice across all outputs; support brand sign-off and content request workflows. 

• Identify, test, and fully implement new digital and community fundraising opportunities; lead discovery and delivery for audience targeted products (e.g., motorsport fundraising). 

• Collaborate confidently across teams to align priorities, timelines and standards. 

• Assist with in-house training (social best practice, content creation, platform processes, ad creation). 

• Future scope: The role may expand to include additional communications activities. 

The kind of person we are looking for: 

Essential criteria 

• At least a year’s proven experience in a relevant role within a charity setting. 

• In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of social media platforms and campaigns, including planning, processes and scheduling tools (e.g., content calendars, workflow management, and best practice for engagement). 

• Experience creating and managing paid ad campaigns on social media (e.g., Meta Ads Manager; audience targeting, creative testing, optimisation, reporting). 

• Proficiency in creating digital content, including video and image editing (e.g., Canva, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro). 

• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across messaging, grammar, punctuation,tone and style. 

• Understanding of supporter/donor care. 

• High motivation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects confidently and keep momentum. 

• Able to attend the London office one day per week (can be more if preferred) and to attend key events throughout the year. 

Desirable 

• Experience in community and or digital fundraising. 

• Experience sourcing and presenting supporter stories. 

• Experience using a website CMS (e.g., WordPress or equivalent). 

• Basic web page creation/maintenance. 

• Experience of working within a medical research charity setting.

BACKGROUND

Ashiana started operating in 1989 and specialises in helping young women, aged 16 - 35 years, from South Asian, Middle Eastern & Iranian communities who are at risk of domestic violence and sexual violence.

OUR SERVICES

Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bed-spaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG (Violence against Women & Girls), enabling them to make informed decisions and exit abusive relationships. We provide counselling for women and girls affected by domestic violence and sexual violence. We also deliver an immigration service to women who have insecure immigration status with the aim to support them with access to specialist legal advice in order to resolve their immigration status. .. We deliver harmful practices training to professionals from the statutory and voluntary sector in addition to awareness raising workshops for women and girls in the community.

PRIMARY TASK

To be responsible, alongside the Management Committee, the Senior Management Team and other workers for the effective running of the Project, in accordance with Management Policy. Ensuring that it meets the needs of South Asian, Middle Eastern and Turkish women and girls who have been made homeless as a result of VAWG (Violence against Women & Girls).

About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in Tower Hamlets, working 35 hours per week. Working Well Trust's services have previously been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

What you’ll be doing

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service. 

What you’ll need

Experience in employment support is not essential. We are looking for someone who brings:

• A genuine desire to support people into meaningful employment.
• Commitment to person-centred work and either experience of or enthusiasm to learn the IPS approach.
• Confidence engaging with employers and promoting the benefits of our service.
• Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
• Beneficial (but not essential): experience working with people with mental health difficulties.
