Purpose of the Role

The Administrator / Finance Officer plays a key role in the smooth running of One Newham. The postholder will provide reliable financial administration, maintain accurate records, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and ensure effective office and administrative systems are in place, with a strong emphasis on finance.

Key Responsibilities

Finance (priority area)

• Maintain accurate financial records on QuickBooks.

• Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with cashflow forecasts.

• Process invoices, expenses and reimbursements.

• Prepare draft management accounts.

• Support annual budget preparation and monitoring.

• Administer SafeHR (online payroll system) and manage pension returns.

• Maintain grant and project financial trackers.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies.

Administration & Office Management

• Maintain administrative systems and filing structures.

• Oversee supplies, equipment and IT procurement.

• Support onboarding of staff and volunteers.

• Act as first point of contact for routine enquiries.

Community Hire Scheme

• Coordinate the Community Hire Scheme, set up booking procedures, payments and deposits, and coordinate collections and returns.

• Organise regular maintenance of the equipment for hire.

• Liaise with and support the Hire Scheme volunteers and ensure that their expenses are paid on time.

• Promote the scheme widely and ensure that it is taken up by local residents and community groups.

Member and Network Communications

• Maintain up-to-date contact lists and mailing groups for One Newham members and partners.

• Support the production and circulation of member communications, including e-bulletins, newsletters and event invitations.

• Upload and update content on the One Newham website and/or member portals (where applicable).

• Assist with communications for forums, training sessions and network events (e.g. creating simple flyers, booking links, reminders).

• Help ensure a consistent, timely flow of information to members about opportunities, funding, training and key local developments.

Essential Experience and Knowledge

• Experience in a finance-focused administrative role, ideally in a charity or small organisation.

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.

• Experience maintaining financial records, processing invoices and preparing reconciliations.

• Good understanding of office administration systems and general office management.

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint/OneDrive) and Google apps.

Location:  Hybrid working - Part London office-based (E14) and part home working. The post holder will work a minimum of one day a week in the office.

About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

What you’ll be doing

If you were working with us, you would hold a varied caseload of clients with lived experience of mental health, autism and/or a learning disability. You would support clients to identify their employment goals, build confidence, prepare for work, and navigate any barriers they may face.

Your work would be entirely person-centred. You would support clients in line with their preferences and aspirations, helping them identify roles that match their strengths. A key part of the role involves approaching employers, explaining the value of our service, and working with them to identify suitable opportunities for clients. Age UK is looking for a Social Media Executive to join our friendly and fast-paced Brand and Content team. You will work alongside the Social Media Manager and Strategic Social Media Manager to create content aimed at growing our presence across social media, with a particular focus on creating social-first video.

In this exciting role you will also work collaboratively with teams across the charity, to create engaging content that showcases the breadth of Age UK's work, both locally and nationally.

We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office a minimum of one day per week. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

There will be times throughout the year when required to work on weekends and evenings from home or attend an event in order to deliver real time social media content. TOIL will be granted for any out-of-hours working.

Working closely with consumer associations, regulators, policymakers and global partners in the digital finance ecosystem, and with a focus in low- and middle-income countries, the Advocacy and Regulatory EngagementLead will ensure that the voice of consumers informs digital finance reform. The successful candidate will combine political acumen, relationship-building skills and a network mindset.

The role requires you to be in the office once a week as a minimum.  This role is full time. Working 35 hours a week but they would consider candidates looking for less hours.   

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality supporter service and manage donor communications
• Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce
• Process donations, payments and grant transactions
• Manage sales and purchase ledgers
• Raise invoices, chase debtors and support month-end tasks

About the role

The Web Optimisation Manager plays an important role in improving the performance of Christian Aid’s website and digital platforms, helping ensure our digital experiences effectively attract, engage and inspire supporters to take action. With a strong focus on digital fundraising, you will use data and insight to understand how people interact with our website and identify opportunities to strengthen supporter journeys and increase engagement.

Working with analytics tools and behavioural insight platforms, you will explore how users navigate our website and help identify areas where we can improve the experience. You will plan and deliver A/B and multivariate tests to better understand what works for our audiences and support ongoing improvements to user experience and conversion.

You will develop our technical SEO approach, contributing to web audits, keyword analysis and site performance improvements that help ensure Christian Aid’s content is visible and accessible to the people who need it most.

Working closely with our Digital Development Team, you will contribute to improvements and new features that enhance supporter journeys and campaign performance. You will also collaborate with the Senior Digital Content Editor and colleagues across teams to ensure content aligns with SEO best practice and supports the organisation’s content plans.

As our web performance specialist, you will help translate website data into clear insights that colleagues can act on, using dashboards and reporting to support data-informed decision making and continuous improvement across the organisation.

About you

You are a digitally curious and analytical professional who enjoys improving online experiences. You have experience analysing user journeys and website performance, using tools such as GA4, Tag Manager and SEO platforms to understand how people interact with digital content. You are comfortable identifying friction in user journeys, developing practical recommendations to improve engagement and conversion, and working collaboratively with developers and content teams to implement improvements.

Experience with CRO testing, GA4, CMS platforms such as Drupal, and technical SEO will help you succeed in this role, alongside strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
