The Role

As the Financial Controller, you will report to the Finance & HR Director and support the Finance & HR Director in leading day-to-day financial operations, taking ownership of transactional accounting and month-end reconciliations. You’ll maintain the general ledger, ensure data integrity across systems, and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control functions. The role involves coordinating payroll, preparing management accounts and VAT returns, supporting budget preparation and assisting with year-end accounts and external audits.

You’ll also manage the Assistant Finance Manager and play a key role in the organisation’s financial stability and operational success.

In your roles, you will work closely with the Finance & HR Director to support the development and implementation of Financial Policies and processes and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the month-end reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including credit control activities, with support from the Assistant Finance Manager.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure data integrity between accounting systems.
• Coordinate payroll administration and liaise with external payroll providers.
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support budget preparation and variance analysis throughout the financial year.
• Assist with external audit processes and year-end financial statement preparation.
• Support the Senior Management Team with guidance on Financial Policies and Processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of financial processes, systems and compliance.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hands-on finance role with transactional accounting responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing the month-end close and preparing management accounts.
• High-level Excel proficiency and ability to work with financial data confidently.
• Experience with accounting software (Xero experience is advantageous).
• Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Experience in the charity sector, including technical expertise in Charity SORP, is advantageous.

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

CoppaFeel! is looking for a Health & Services Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support across our health and services work.

Sitting within the Education Team, this role will work closely with the Health & Services Manager and Health & Services Executive to support the delivery of CoppaFeel!’s portfolio of resources, materials and reminder services. They will support the smooth running of health engagement activity, systems and processes and champion equity, diversity and inclusion across health engagement work.

This role focuses on administrative tasks, supporting the wider team to deliver impactful work while developing skills and experience within the charity and health sector.

This role will sit within the Education team and report to the Health & Services Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative and coordination support

• Provide day-to-day administrative support across health and services activity, including data entry and document management.
• Support the coordination of health and services activity by maintaining systems, calendars and records.
• Assist with the set-up and administration of programmes, initiatives and projects led by the Health & Services team.
• Assist with collecting and logging feedback and data to support impact reporting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of Education Team contacts on the CRM.
• Support with processing expenses and basic tracking of department expenditure

Health Information, Resources and materials

• Provide support with developments to new and existing health information.
• Provide administrative support for the development, promotion and distribution of CoppaFeel!’s portfolio of resources.
• Organise and collate resources and materials for events and activities, liaising with the Operations team to manage storage and stock.
• Act as a first point of contact for education and healthcare materials enquiries, processing requests and orders.
• Correspond with key external stakeholders in the development and promotion of our resources.
• Support with the administration and day-to-day running of CoppaFeel!’s SMS reminder service.
• Supporting with reviewing and updating resources, materials and health information.

Events and communications support

• Assist with the set up of healthcare professional events and webinars, both in person and online when necessary.
• Co-ordinate deliveries and postage from the CoppaFeel! office.
• Attend healthcare and service delivery events to promote CoppaFeel!'s work.
• Support the scheduling of newsletters, social media and routine communications.
• Coordinate responses to general health and services enquiries, escalating more complex issues where needed.

About the Role

As the main point of contact for UDG, the Membership and Administration Officer plays a pivotal role in the organisation’s day-to-day operations, ensuring an outstanding experience for members. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Implementation (Online & Offline)

• Key operational lead, deputising for the Head of Individual Giving and Legacies, taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of campaigns and activity across channels and supporter journeys.

• Develop and implement activity to attract new supporters through an integrated mix of channels, including social platforms (paid and unpaid), search engine advertising, email marketing, and offline appeals.

• Manage relationships with external partners, including creative, fundraising, and digital marketing agencies, ensuring high-quality delivery and ROI.

• Develop and execute integrated campaigns where ultimate conversion may occur via traditional channels such as telephone or mail, taking a holistic approach to acquire and convert new supporters.

• Analyse metrics and data, reporting on KPIs, budget, and spend. Work to constantly test and optimise campaigns to exceed targets and improve return on investment.

• Support forecasting and budget planning on marketing activities within the IG budget.

• Create and optimise content, sometimes cross team and directly with our incredible patients and supporters.

• Build journeys that maximise conversions and build loyalty. This includes high-quality creative fundraising writing, concepting, and messaging development.

• Ensure all supporters are thanked and updated in an appropriate and timely manner, working with the team to ensure coverage and that all interactions are in line with our supporter promise.

• Cultivate deeper engagement with supporters beyond transactional interactions, explore opportunities for meaningful dialogue and a sense of community. 

Collaboration & Cross-Selling

• Work with the wider PCR team to maximise opportunities for fundraising and patient impact, specifically leading on cross-selling meaningful cash and support propositions to other audiences (e.g., events participants, community fundraisers, and campaigners).

• Work with Agile principles in mind, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to plan and deliver high-quality work.

• Build key relationships across teams within and outside Public Fundraising to achieve successful fundraising outcomes.

• As required, represent PCR externally, promoting our work and building long-term relationships with stakeholders. 

Database and Compliance

• Develop your existing experience and affinity for supporter data to improve outcomes for supporters.

• Hold a very good working knowledge of key aspects of data protection law including GDPR and PECR, as well as the Fundraising Code of Practice.

• Work with our tools and seek to improve knowledge and use of these, including Access CRM, Fundraise Up, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Wordpress and MailChimp.

Skills and Competencies

Our ideal candidate would have the following:

• Fundraising Expertise: Proven experience in an Individual Giving role(s) with a track record of managing both digital acquisition and offline appeals (direct mail/telemarketing) for a charity or social cause, as well as significant experience in retention, marketing communications, supporter services.

• Agency Management: Experience managing creative, fundraising and digital marketing agencies, to deliver a variety of campaigns or activities across multiple channels.

• Digital Proficiency: Demonstrable expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta Business Suite, Google paid advertising, and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp.

• Strategic Thinking: Evidence of leading successful integrated campaigns resulting in significant income or lead generation.

• Audience development: Led development of successful new propositions for cross-selling across existing audiences.

• Creative Skills: The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for various channels.

• Financial Acumen: The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on campaigns across all channels.

• Supporter Experience: A strong desire to provide excellent supporter experience and customer journeys to everyone who encounters PCR.

Respond is seeking an experienced and values-driven Psychotherapy Service Manager to lead our specialist psychotherapy service for autistic people, people with learning disabilities, and their families. 

This is a senior clinical leadership role for an experienced psychotherapist with strong service management skills and a commitment to psychodynamic, systemic and trauma-informed practice. 

About the Role 

You will: 

• Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day management of Respond’s psychotherapy service 

• Ensure high-quality, safe and effective therapeutic provision across London, schools and online 

• Lead on clinical governance, safeguarding, supervision and reflective practice 

• Support and develop the therapy team through coaching and compassionate leadership 

• Contribute to organisational strategy, service planning and partnership development 

You will hold a small caseload alongside management responsibilities and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team. 

About You 

You will be: 

• A qualified psychotherapist, counsellor or arts therapist with postgraduate training 

• Registered with a relevant professional body (e.g. HCPC, BACP, BPS, UKCP) 

• Experienced in psychodynamic and/or systemic practice 

• Experienced in working with autistic people and/or people with learning disabilities 

• Confident in leading teams and managing services 

• Knowledgeable about trauma, abuse and safeguarding 

Experience of clinical supervision, reflective practice or organisational safeguarding leadership is desirable.

About the Role

We are seeking an individual to undertake holistic assessments of need, both remotely (over the telephone and online) and in person across their region. They will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

In addition to their primary casework role, they will provide specialist social work related advice and guidance to our Single Point of Contact Helpline team and our wider welfare teams. Applicants must be an experienced, registered social worker with a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience within a Local Authority or the Charitable sector.

Applicants must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice relating to the safeguarding of adults and children.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This role will be based in our Central London Headquarters, with a hybrid working pattern, with up to 2 days per week working from home. Occasional travel to support cases and wider Fund activity, outside of this region, may be required.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking a permanent Chief Medical Advisor. This is an SCS2 grade role and an outstanding opportunity to work in the largest Civil Service Department that touches the lives of citizens the length and breadth of the UK.

This is a unique opportunity for a senior medical professional to provide expert advice to inform policy, legislation, and delivery decisions at the UK’s biggest public service department, where we administer the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers.

This role will be the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for Clinical Governance and Clinical Profession. The postholder will build strong relationships with senior leaders, including the Permanent Secretary, ministers, and external stakeholders, ensuring clinical advice is accurate and of the highest quality. The role requires strong team leadership, promoting an inclusive environment for clinicians to encourage development and growth while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

As the Department’s most senior medical professional, you will provide expert advice on clinical policy and clinical governance matters to DWP Ministers and senior leaders across DWP including the DWP Executive team. The role will also work closely with other clinical teams across government as well as external organisations such as regulatory bodies, external providers and charities.

The Department has an ambitious reform agenda including priorities set out in the Get Britain Working White Paper and the Pathways to Work Green Paper and a focus on tackling rising youth inactivity.

As Chief Medical Advisor you will bring professional expertise to complex problems, influencing right at the heart of decision making. You will be a strong relationship builder, able to work effectively across a large and complex organisation, and operate as an inspiring leader.

This role has four major components:

1. Leading a team of approximately 50 colleagues providing clinical advice across DWP, you will act as the Department’s expert on clinical policy matters and work with officials across the Department to ensure Ministers receive the highest quality advice on clinical policy.
2. Provide the in-house clinical advice relating to disability, work, and health within DWP for Ministers and the Executive team.
3. Operate as Head of Clinical Profession, where you will be responsible for training, appraisal, and revalidation of c.200 clinicians in DWP, ensuring they are in good standing with their regulatory body. There is also a dotted line of professional responsibility to 5,500 healthcare professionals within contracted provider organisations.
4. As SRO for Clinical Governance, you will oversee the DWP Caldicott Guardian and Clinical Safeguarding Lead, providing final sign-off for sanctions and waivers on behalf of the Secretary of State.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their knowledge, experience and skills against the following essential criteria:

• Excellent strategic thinking skills, with the ability to understand both complex policy detail and high level, strategic connections across a broad portfolio and an outstanding eye for critical detail.
• Experience of delivering practical and innovative responses to complex issues and responding to unplanned circumstances.
• Strong technical skills relevant to clinical safeguarding with expertise in occupational health or functional medicine.
• Evidence of exceptional leadership and ability to lead multidisciplinary clinical education teams and / or programmes to ensure understanding of all roles across the 5,500 strong clinical profession, including the ability to motivate and inspire an experienced and diverse clinical team.
• Ability to demonstrate credibility to inspire the respect of both internal and external stakeholders at Director level and above.

Are you an experienced relationship fundraiser with experience of the following:

Current knowledge and experience of institutional funders priorities, requirements and ways of working.

Knowledge and experience of the Programme management cycle.
