Key Responsibilities

About The Role

JFF are looking for a Finance and Reporting Analyst to join their growing team. Reporting into the Director of Finance and Operations, you will be responsible for undertaking key monthly transactions duties as well as leading and building robust data models and the reporting of both financial and non-financial information utilising Power BI or similar.  You will work together with colleagues across the organisation to support reporting on financial, non-financial and programmatic data and KPIs.

Afield is a brand new charity responding to environmental injustice. We do this by working with communities to rewild disadvantaged urban neighbourhoods; and by supporting artists to undertake ecological research. Objectives

You will work alongside Afield’s two co-founders to define and run the urban wilding and arts grants programmes, including managing the cohort of grantees. We are looking for dynamism, energy and experience of grant management to help us launch the first round of grants and a support programme.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the two co-founders you will set up the arts research and wilding programmes. This will include launching and running opencall and selection processes, and the cohort support programmes. Once established you will lead subsequent programmes, and plan for future cohorts. You will be:

• Feeding into the design of the arts & wilding programmes

• Taking responsibility for, and running, the arts grants grants and wilding programme (including involvement in the selection of grantees, continual learning and evaluation)

• Liaising with partners on programme delivery (eg. local councils for wilding)

• Working with a second team member (to be recruited) to promote the programme

Public Law Project (PLP) is looking for a Finance Assistant to help our charity operate effectively. You will play an essential role in ensuring our team have the financial support needed to deliver our essential work. As you develop in your role at PLP we will provide a pathway through which the role can progress to Finance Officer level. Age UK East London is a values-driven local charity supporting older people across Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham to live well, stay independent and feel connected. With around 75 staff and a similar number of volunteers, the People function plays a vital role in delivering the charity's ambitious five-year strategy and nurturing a positive, inclusive culture.

This is a brilliant opportunity to lead both HR and volunteering during a period of maternity cover, shaping systems, supporting managers, and ensuring staff and volunteers are set up to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the People & Volunteering function, working closely with the CEO and the SMT.
• Develop and implement people plans, policies and compliance processes aligned with UK employment law.
• Provide advice and coaching to managers, supporting performance, wellbeing and employee relations.
• Line manage the Volunteer Manager and support a high-quality volunteering experience.
• Oversee onboarding, L&D, payroll liaison, DBS and right-to-work checks, and HR records.
• Lead annual people, volunteer and trustee surveys and use insights to drive improvement.
• Maintain HR systems and produce clear people data and reports for internal stakeholders.

What we are looking for

• Experience in a broad HR generalist role (e.g. Head of People, HR Manager or similar), ideally within a charity, social sector or other values-driven setting.
• Confident working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to apply this in a proportionate and practical way.
• Experience advising and supporting managers with day-to-day people issues and building constructive relationships across an organisation.
• Experience working with volunteers, for example, supporting a volunteer function, managing volunteer-involving projects and/or through lived experience of volunteering.
• Strong systems and data skills, including using HR and/or volunteer management systems and producing clear reports on people metrics (such as sickness, turnover and workforce/volunteer trends).
• Experience improving processes and systems, with the ability to identify what needs to change and follow through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain people issues clearly and build trust with staff, volunteers, senior leaders and trustees.

Project manage mass participation fundraising activities, ensuring financial, participation and engagement targets are met

Lead on the acquisition and stewardship of DIY fundraisers using mass communication channels

Manage a Schools Fundraising product through its full lifecycle, from planning to evaluation

Use data and insight to understand supporter behaviour and campaign performance, turning analysis into practical improvements

Deliver engaging, supporter focused communications across pre event, event and post event journeys

Ensure an exceptional supporter experience that exceeds expectations

Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Manage relationships with external suppliers and agencies, ensuring contracts and delivery meet agreed standards

Evaluate activity performance and provide accurate financial reporting

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience delivering campaigns or events to mass audiences
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting ideas and performance updates
• Experience building and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
• A customer focused approach, delivering high levels of supporter service
• Experience managing budgets and analysing financial data
• Strong numeracy and data analysis skills, with the ability to turn insight into action

• Experience working with external agencies and suppliers

Salary: £34,582- £38,425 + £3,366 (LW) if  London based or + HW allowance if home based
