As UK Sepsis Trust’s Corporate Engagement Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising efforts by cultivating and managing relationships with corporate partners. Working closely with the Head of Partnerships, Fundraising and Events colleagues, your primary responsibility will be to secure financial support from businesses and other organisations through various income-generating initiatives and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Partnership Development

· Identify and research potential corporate partners aligned with the mission and values of the charity.

Revenue Generation

Relationship Management

Experience/ qualifications

· At least 2 years’ experience in corporate fundraising or business development, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

The role

NEA has an exciting opportunity for a Training and Education Officer to support with the delivery of our accredited training and qualifications to stakeholders across the United Kingdom as well as develop and deliver our expanding education programme nationwide.

You will work across both the training and education teams to develop and deliver training courses and education workshops to frontline workers, volunteers and young people from a wide range of organisations, including local authorities, housing associations, voluntary and community groups, and commercial organisations.

Our training courses and workshops cover key issues associated with fuel poverty, fuel debt, affordable warmth, low-carbon technologies and practical energy efficiency advice. You will work alongside the training team to develop, design and deliver these engaging online and face-to-face courses and qualifications.  You will act as an examiner for all NEA qualifications, assist in the development of future assessment-based qualifications; and have the ability to identify new opportunities for training and assessment product development.

You will work closely with the existing education team to enhance the current education provision of the charity; you will develop and deliver education sessions in line with programme and funding needs. Delivery will include both Primary and Secondary school sessions as well as bespoke education sessions for care leavers, young carers, youth offenders and children soon to be attending university or college.

What you will need to succeed

You will possess a relevant training or education qualification and have recent, demonstrable experience in delivering adult training and or primary / secondary school sessions. Ideally, you will also bring experience in one or more of the following fields: energy, community development, debt or money advice, consumer issues, or housing.

With excellent communication skills and IT skills, you will be adaptable and bring a lot of energy to the team.  You’ll be brimming with ideas and enthusiasm and have a passion to deliver training and education to people from diverse backgrounds and the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

You will be expected to deliver training and education sessions depending on organisational need, as well as occasionally delivery in wider England and Wales. This will require overnight stays and flexibility on the part of the post holder.

The role of Training and Education Officer will be part of the Development and Partnerships Directorate and the postholder will report to NEA’s Training Programme Delivery Manager.

Our work has never been more needed. The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to 2.6 million* means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 300,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.  Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK.

JOB PURPOSE

The Head of Policy & Public Affairs will review, develop and implement our advocacy strategy and lead a team to influence the devolved legislatures across the UK to address child morning hunger, with a view to the underlying systemic causes of child poverty and hunger, by driving change through policy and legislation. The role operates at our ‘Head of level’ which is the most senior operational specialist level and provides both operational and strategic leadership.

This role will also provide wider leadership across the charity and input into organisational strategy development and planning as part of the Core Management Group. This role will ensure that the Policy and Public Affairs function is aligned to the wider strategic aims and outcomes of Magic Breakfast as well as the internal operational systems and delivery.

The strategic leadership will ensure an external and long term view, with an outward looking and forward thinking approach that builds thought leadership, relationships and partnerships, with positioning to anticipate and build on new opportunities to end child morning hunger for good.

It will require an experienced Policy and Public Affairs professional, with significant experience of high impact and demonstrable outcomes at a senior level in the field. The postholder will lead the policy and public affairs team to influence the Early Adopters Scheme, the national rollout of primary school breakfast provision in England and breakfast legislation in the Children’s Wellbeing Bill (CWB).

They will also develop, guide and lead plans to influence the Scottish government, particularly in the run up to the election in May 2026 and the influencing of manifestos; and will lead Magic Breakfast’s upcoming influencing work in Wales. 

In the external leadership that the role provides they will build relationships with politicians, political influencers, special advisors and civil servants to establish long-term, sustainable solutions to child morning hunger in the UK.

As a compassionate, people centric and inspiring leader they will work to enable their team to grow and develop in their skills ensuring they can step away from the detail whilst retaining accountability, build effective resource management and progression pathways. This role may manage external consultants where necessary, and work collaboratively with external organisations to amplify our voice and asks and strengthen our position as a thought leader. 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Review and define the advocacy strategy for 25/26 in line both with moving political environment and Magic Breakfast’s influencing agenda, considering the systemic barriers to ending child morning hunger for good.

· Develop and maintain close relationships with the Department for Education and other key departments including Department for Health and Social Care and Treasury, to secure hunger and child focus as key priorities for breakfast provision.

· Develop, monitor and evaluate influencing plans for each devolved nation

· Support the development of influencing plans with coalition groups and organisations to influence school breakfast policy, commitments and implementation

· Review policy positions in Wales and Northern Ireland and define our advocacy approach, gaining external insights and analysing available research and data to shape the plan

· Develop a vision for advocacy beyond current demands, considering political appetite and gaining insight from lived experience communities and relevant sectors, to ensure that we are clear on future asks, and can build the foundation towards them.

· Work with Impact and Insights team to define future research needs to meet our longer-term advocacy plans

· Enhance and establish internal processes and ensure good internal information dissemination 

· Work closely with key internal stakeholders to shape advocacy work and support broader organisational objectives

· Embed learnings and develop a fail fast, learn fast culture in the team

· Coach, support and lead direct reports enabling increased professional development, strategic decision making, proactive project management and robust political influencing

· Contribute to and help shape the work of the Core Management Group to ensure ongoing alignment for in year implementation of the strategic plan and create integrated future year plans which meet organisational goals

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Kentown Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of the pilot Kentown Children’s Palliative Care Programme, in collaboration with Kentown Wizard and Together for Short Lives.

Reporting to the Kentown Project Lead out of our Lancaster team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care.

· A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly.

· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines.

· Practical and people-oriented - you will thrive working at a fast pace whilst maintaining accuracy and be a confident user of IT (including MSOffice)

We're looking for a new Facilities Manager for our Leighton Moss reserve. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at Leighton Moss in North Lancashire. As part of the team, you will work for one of the world’s leading conservation charities, dedicated to saving nature.

As the Facilities Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the infrastructure and support services are well maintained, operate within budget, in line with good practice and within legal frameworks. You will provide comprehensive business/operational support facilitating delivery of work programmes and an effective working environment. You will ensure RSPB is accredited by Green Dragon and compliance is maintained. You will manage the administration of the site as well as managing staff and volunteers and ensuring a high level of customer service.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• You will have the self-motivation and organisational skills to effectively prioritise and deliver a large and varied workload - maintaining our buildings, supporting the visitor business and land management operations and providing admin support to managers.
• Knowledge, understanding and evidence of the key elements of ensuring well-maintained facilities and associated services.
• Ability to ensure H&S compliance is met, knowledge and experience of writing and implementing Risk Assessments and Emergency Procedures.
• Good verbal and written communications skills and ability to engage with a wide range of audiences.
• Ability to plan/project manage, prioritise and problem solve.
• Ability to manage your own team of staff and volunteers to ensure daily cost-effective, efficient running of the facility.
• You will be an effective forward-planner with the ability to anticipate and respond quickly to change.

• Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, including legal compliance, quality management and sustainability of a site.
• Ability to effectively use RSPB systems including eBIS and Assemble. Also, knowledge of IT and network systems is useful.
• Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• A facilities management qualification or equivalent.
• Natural history knowledge and knowledge of conservation issues and priorities

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.

STEP provides a bespoke employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that refugees face when preparing for, and ultimately finding work in the UK.   We now have an exciting opportunity for a female Employment Advisor with fluency in Dari/Farsi to work with predominantly women clients providing remote employment support to STEP clients across the UK.

You will prepare clients for competitive employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will work to a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of clients such as successful completion of training courses, voluntary and work placements and achieving and sustaining paid employment.   

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience in successfully supporting refugees into sustainable employment

• Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by unemployed people to finding work, including those whose first language is not English

• Fluent first-language skills in speaking Dari/Farsi 

• Experience of providing advice and guidance and supervising a caseload of clients

• Excellent communication skills

• Good IT skills (CRM database, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to work remotely with confidence

• Good business-level English, cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with clients with varying levels of English

This exciting role is responsible for delivering income from a range of donors and prospects, with a focus on trusts and foundations, lottery and statutory sources, as well as HNWI. We are looking for an ambitious and strategic fundraiser with a proven track record of raising significant funds from charitable trusts and foundations, lottery and statutory sources as well as HNWI, who, alongside our existing team, will help to grow and develop this area of fundraising for the Macular Society.
