Every year in Wales, around 2800 babies are born premature or sick and needing care on a neonatal unit – this isn’t what most parents expect for their baby. Many of these babies, and their families, will face inequalities which relate to their ethnicity, or their socio-economic disadvantage.

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for someone with the skills for engagement and project management to join team. Role details

TBliss has recently been awarded a one-year grant from the Welsh Government to deliver a programme of work to support and drive neonatal service transformation across the country. In line with Bliss new 4-year strategy, this programme will work with neonatal healthcare professionals across the 9 neonatal units in Wales, support families whose babies need this vital care, and include research and policy work to improve care across the country.

The programme lead will coordinate the work of this programme, which will be managed by teams across Bliss, and lead on the engagement of parents and healthcare teams across Wales. During the 12 months of the funding agreement, to the end of September 2026, the programme will:
•Raise awareness of and access to Bliss’ information and support for parents
•Support all neonatal units to progress through Bliss’ Baby Charter standards
•Undertake service-user involvement work to inform the development of a new digital parent support service
•Undertake engagement work with health professionals to inform training and the development of resources to support the delivery of Family Integrated Care (FICare)
•Carry out a policy research project on neonatal inequalities.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Friends of the Elderly is a charity dedicated to providing excellent care  and support to older people for over 120 years. We aspire to a society where all older people have the opportunity to live fulfilled lives. We do this via our grant giving service, which provides vital financial support to older people who are living in poverty. We also deliver services personalised to individual needs and integrated with local communities at our care homes and day centres.

About the role

This is a remote-first role open to candidates anywhere in the UK. You’ll join us in our Woking office just once a month for team collaboration days.

We are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser to join our small, busy fundraising team. You will:

• proactively nurture and grow our relationships with existing supporters
• develop relationships with new trusts and foundations, taking pride in excellent donor stewardship,
• create compelling funding applications, reports and communications which demonstrate our impact
• raise restricted and unrestricted money for our grant giving service and for enhancements to our care homes and day care services, which improve the lives of the older people.

Working partnerships

 Internal:

• Grants Team, Marketing and Communications Team, care homes and day care services, Estates and Facilities Team, Finance Team.

External:

• Consultants, agencies and suppliers.

Key objectives and responsibilities

• Be primarily responsible for researching and writing, prioritising, developing and submitting compelling proposals, updates and reports to trust donors.
• Maximise income by building and maintaining relationships with existing portfolio of trust donors through excellent relationship management.
• Use the database (Access Charity CRM) to maintain accurate and detailed records, manage relationships, and coordinate actions and deadlines.
• Research and identify new opportunities, and write and submit high quality, targeted proposals to secure support from new and lapsed funders.
• Prepare written reports on activities, progress and income against objectives.
• Ensure the impact of our work is clear, visible and effectively communicated in our social media, on our website and in our Impact Report.
• Liaise with internal staff to compile project information for funding applications, and build positive, professional relationships internally and externally.
• Gather case studies for use in fundraising communications, applications and reports.
• Undertake administrative duties such as thanking donors and other routine office procedures as required.
• Carry out other tasks as required by the Fundraising Manager and Fundraising Team.

About the Role

You’ll be a key part of how we deliver a smooth, efficient, and welcoming recruitment experience for candidates, hiring managers, and new starters alike. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Lead and Advisor, you’ll coordinate recruitment campaigns from start to finish, manage our Applicant Tracking System, and support onboarding processes. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to job fairs, recruitment campaigns, and employer branding projects. You’ll be joining a small, collaborative team that works remotely, with occasional meetups at our London Head Office for team days, planning sessions, and events.

This role is fully remote, working Monday to Friday with occasional travel. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinating interviews, assessments, and offers using our ATS.
• Supporting hiring managers with job postings, shortlisting, and candidate communications
• Assisting with issuing contracts, collecting documentation, and initiating DBS and Right to Work checks
• Managing the recruitment inbox and handling candidate and hiring manager queries
• Maintaining accurate candidate records and documentation in line with GDPR
• Helping plan and support job fairs and recruitment events
• Working with our Communications team to support recruitment marketing and employer branding
• Providing admin support across the recruitment and onboarding journey

About You

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in a recruitment or HR administration role, who is confident managing the day-to-day demands of a busy recruitment function.

You’ll also be:

• Highly organised and detail-focused
• Confident communicating with people at all levels
• Able to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a close team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Experienced using an Applicant Tracking System (such as Eploy or similar)
• Enthusiastic about making recruitment efficient, inclusive, and candidate-friendly

We are seeking an experienced and driven Programme Manager to lead the delivery and development of our nationally recognised wellbeing services for young people living with and beyond cancer.

As a fast-growing, mission-led charity, we provide tailored support across mental health, physical rehabilitation, nutrition, and wellbeing. What You’ll Be Doing
