Our charity has grown rapidly over the last five years, with each year bringing new faces and new opportunities. This year, we’re excited to be welcoming a Fundraising Manager to join our team.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our CEO and operations team to deliver our annual fundraising targets, focusing on individual giving, trusts and foundations, and fundraising events/external opportunities. Partnerships are currently managed by the CEO and our Board of Trustees.

We have a fun, joyful working culture and work flexibly and mostly remotely, though you may occasionally need to attend meetings in London or travel for events. Our registered office is in Margate, so if you’re local or fancy a change of scene, you’re welcome to come and work by the sea.

As this is a new role for Not A Phase, we’re looking for someone confident, proactive and full of ideas. You’ll have the freedom to shape and implement your own systems and processes, with full support from the team.

Homeless Link is the national membership charity for frontline homelessness agencies and the wider housing with health, care and support sector in England. With more than 750 members, we work to improve services and campaign for policy change that will help end homelessness and ensure that everyone has a place to call home and the support they need to keep it.

About the role

You will be part of the regional office team, managing a group of casework administrators. The team provides specialist administrative support and act as a single point of contact to SSAFA branch-based volunteers ensuring that SSAFA beneficiaries receive consistent, timely, and high-quality service. The RCM role will involve developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers.  Additionally, the RCM will occasionally assist the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and triaging initial client enquiries.

To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.  You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working closely with a dedicated team under the guidance of the Regional Manager.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North West region consisting of Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Isle of Man, Lancashire and Merseyside. You will occasionally be required to travel within the North West Region or to other locations.

About the team

The regional office is a “virtual” office and supports the six SSAFA branches in the North West of England region, as the branch-based volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries.  The successful candidate will work as part of a larger support team which will include 5 Casework Administrators and a Regional Manager.  All team members are home based, residing in the region.

About you

To excel in this role, you should have a solid educational background and experience in managing employees, as well as overseeing and reporting on service delivery.  You should have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, achieving results through negotiation and influence.  Previous experience of working with volunteers would be advantageous.  You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of learning a computerised case management system quickly. Additionally, you should be skilled with numerical data.

The successful candidate will be capable of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision and have considerable experience of managing accounts.

It would be desirable to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. An understanding of the voluntary sector would be valuable, and the military charity sector landscape across the North West Region would be beneficial.  Commitment to SSAFA’s values including equality, diversity and inclusion is essential.

SQL Insight Analyst

About The Role  

As a SQL Insight Analyst, you will be at the heart of our charity’s ambition to drive our decision making through evidence and data backed insights. Working closely with the rest of the Data, Insights and Research team to enable their access to aggregated or granular data points from our Services and Fundraising databases.

You will become an expert on the data points we collect at Help For Heroes and gain understanding of how these all play a part in achieving our overall goal of ensuring Members of the Armed Forces Community Live Well after Service.

About You  

You will be a highly motivated SQL code writer with a passion for making a difference in our community. You will need a sharp and dynamic mind that can infer the business logic that underpins the work we do. You will have the adaptability to be able to speak both in business logic and in the translated SQL language that access the data points needed to provide insight on a particular business challenge. Good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships and inspire both confidence and curiosity within our dataset will be essential to drive the change the Charity is looking for.

We are looking for someone with:  

• The ability to write efficient and accurate SQL code.

• An aptitude for understanding business logic and translating that into all code written.

• Strong communication skills to ensure that requirements are agreed and understood on both sides of the ask.

• Basic knowledge of BI tools, in order to implement connections and code to allow for visualisation of the aggregated data.

• Effective and efficient organisational and IT skills.

• We meet as a team quarterly, most often in London or in Downton (near Salisbury). Travel and accommodation if required would be provided.

Business Development

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop strategies which increase Ygam’s visibility in the corporate space.

• Conduct prospective supporter research; establish and grow the partnerships pipeline, and develop pitches to meet shared objectives, working with the Head of Fundraising. 

• Build strong relationships with organisations that share our values.

• Manage the prospect pipeline using Salesforce, segmenting the pipeline into areas of programme interest and tracking applications, expected and actual income and reporting deadlines. 

Relationship Building: 

• Craft engagement plans to deepen existing relationships and maximise fundraising opportunities 

• Provide excellent account management for new and established partners, including regular and meaningful communication.

GENERAL

TRAVEL

ABOUT The Lindsay Leg Club Foundation was established in December 2004 with the main objective of facilitating and managing the co-ordinated growth of the network of the Leg Clubs and to provide the Clubs with any information and support that they may require. The Foundation achieved charitable status in September 2005, Charity Registration Number: 1111259. Individual Clubs are members of the central Foundation and operate according to the Lindsay Leg Club Model. The model is set out in a practical Handbook which details how Clubs can be established. It includes guidelines on the four key elements of the model, procedures, policies and standards.

Salary: £45,530 per annum + 6% employer pension contribution

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the HR Manager will lead on recruitment for a large-scale project (10-15 hires initially), manage redundancy and restructure processes, and support line managers with people practices and development.

You'll play a key role in embedding inclusive, values-driven HR practices, ensuring staff are supported through change, and helping build a culture of empathy, accountability, and respect.

About You

We're looking for someone with strong HR generalist experience, ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified, and confident managing both recruitment and redundancy processes. You'll be highly organised and able to deliver difficult messages with clarity and compassion.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is recruiting a part-time HR Manager.

The purpose of this role is to manage and develop all core HR functions, supporting employees and the organisation and ensuring the delivery of HR services which are efficient, inclusive and aligned to the Trust values. 

Based on the developing People Strategy, the HR team deliver a wide range of HR projects for continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference in a friendly, highly focussed organisation with an important mission.

The role will line manage the Senior HR Officer and oversees HR operations, recruitment, policy development, staff development, wellbeing, EEDI and remuneration processes.  The post provides an advisory service to the senior management team and will have the opportunity to play a key role within many of the Trust teams.

You will be CIPD level 5 qualified or working towards, and be able to demonstrate previous relevant experience of working at HR Manager level in which you will have delivered the full range of generalist HR operations.  You will hold skills in relationship building, communication, project management and organisation together with good knowledge of employment law and digital systems utilisation.

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join our AI Platform team.

The AI Platform team supports our product teams in developing the best and safest AI features in the EdTech space. The team maintain AI platform services, prompt libraries, and reusable pipelines that can be applied across multiple projects.

In this role, you may work on:

• Enhancing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines,

• Optimising embedding and vector similarity systems through semantic search, clustering, filtering logic, and dimensionality reduction techniques.

• Supporting model evaluation and safety tooling, such as automated test harnesses, hallucination detection, content moderation and input guardrails.

• Contributing to model fine-tuning, prompting and deployment, with a focus on balancing performance, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope for technical leadership and mentoring, alongside the opportunity to shape our engineering practices and culture. • 3+ years experience of continuously improving services using AI/ Web apps technologies

• Knowledge of relevant common architectures, with some experience designing simple technical solutions based on product requirements

• Professional experience building high-performing software using modern frameworks and libraries relevant to the product area  (e.g. NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn.

• Experience designing, testing, and deploying reliable software systems, including automated testing and, where relevant, evaluation of model or system performance using cloud-based tools.

• Able to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.
