We are working with a leading London university to appoint an Interim Head of Student Wellbeing Services for 6-months in the first instance.
Responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of its student wellbeing provision, this vital role oversees three core teams: Counselling, Mental Health, and Disability and Dyslexia support.
The postholder will ensure high-quality, inclusive support that promotes student wellbeing, enables academic success, and meets safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary wellbeing teams, ensuring effective, student-focused support across mental health, disability, and counselling services
- Oversee safeguarding responses, including mental health crises, harassment, and misconduct, working closely with internal and external partners
- Review and enhance policies, procedures, and service delivery in line with strategic priorities and sector best practice
- Champion a whole-university approach to wellbeing and inclusive practice
- Manage related budgets and funding streams, including disability-related funding
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and represent the service in internal and external networks
You will have:
- Significant leadership experience in student wellbeing, mental health, disability, or related services—ideally within higher education
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, mental health legislation, reasonable adjustments, and inclusive education
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, manage crises, and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, strategic planning, and data analysis skills
- A relevant degree is essential; a professional qualification in mental health and professional registration is desirable

Requirements

- Experience in developing budgets & forecasts, and undertaking and presenting analysis, both in writing and verbally.
- Strong communication and finance business partnering skills – able to accurately and precisely communicate important financial information to non-finance budget holders, and senior management staff, challenge numbers and support in sound decision making.
- Experience of working in an international organisation, in a multi-currency environment, and with colleagues based globally.
- Experience in the financial management of grants, including developing budgets for proposals (on a full cost recovery basis), and reporting for donors is strongly desirable.
- Strong systems/IT skills
- Experience in offering coaching on internal controls & processes, budgets & accompanying analysis, and systems/IT.

The Role
This is a key role within Revitalise Trust, to help meet our fundraising targets by effectively managing a UK portfolio of existing donors and sourcing and securing new ones. The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors in relation to employment and volunteering.
Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinators will:
- Deliver 6 month post stroke reviews to people affected by stroke
- Provide personalised information, advice and support especially in relation to employment, volunteering and secondary prevention
About You
The post holders will:
- Be motivated and flexible in their approach
- Able to process new information easily
- Have a background in supporting others ideally in health, social care or the voluntary sector
- Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other professionals and colleagues
- Be confident and able to use IT systems including data bases
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role

Asylum Matters is looking for a dynamic campaigner committed to upholding the rights of people seeking asylum in Yorkshire & Humber and across the UK at a critical time. Asylum Matters plays a significant role in working towards positive change for refugees and people seeking asylum. We are a small team based around the UK, working locally and nationally with an extensive network of partners to advocate for progressive change in the asylum system. We work with frontline organisations and people with lived experience across the UK on a range of issues that affect people in the asylum system. We co-lead the award-winning Lift the Ban coalition campaign, that brings together almost 300 organisations calling for the right to work for people seeking asylum. The Yorkshire & Humber Campaigns Manager also lead our Lift the Ban campaign Nationally, working with our powerful coalition to raise our collective voices and call for working rights for people in the asylum system.
We are a facilitator of collaboration and joint action. Our work helps strengthen collective advocacy on asylum reform and ensures it is informed by the reality on the ground. We became an independent charity in 2021 and have ambitious plans for the future as we seek to maximise the potential of our collaborative campaigning model and identify opportunities for change at local, regional and national levels, in a challenging external environment.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with local organisations and networks in Yorkshire & Humber to develop and implement strategies for achieving change locally and nationally. They will have experience of developing and delivering impactful campaigns that have achieved change. They will be an effective communicator, able to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with partners. They will be proactive, able to spot influencing opportunities and quickly mobilise support to respond to them. They will have a commitment to the vision of a fairer and more effective asylum system, and to empowering and working with those with direct experience of it.

How you will make a difference
We are looking for an experienced Philanthropy and Trust and Foundations fundraiser to join our passionate team. This exciting maternity cover role will oversee Trusts & Grants, Philanthropy and Prospect Research during a pivotal time of growth, ensuring each area continues to develop, scale and innovate to achieve lasting results in support of our ambitious 5-year fundraising strategy.
The successful post-holder will be a proactive charity professional who can effectively nurture the Trusts & Grants team, supporting them to reach in-year and future targets and facilitating the continued growth of this area. Position: S11233 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Durham. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Salary: £19,596 per annum (FTE £27,400 per annum)

The Role
This hands-on role supports the upkeep and smooth operation of site facilities, and buildings. You'll carry out reactive and planned maintenance tasks, including minor mechanical repairs, plumbing, painting, decorating, basic carpentry, and grounds keeping.
The role also involves preparing for and supporting events by setting up infrastructure such as power, lighting, and signage. You’ll maintain safe, organised workspaces and assist in waste disposal, snow clearing, and weather-related preparations.
Operating machinery like ride-on mowers, cherry pickers, and forklifts may be required, with training provided.
You’ll also help coordinate volunteers, supervise site standards, and support contractors to ensure health, safety, and quality.
Regular outdoor work, including at height and in varied weather, is part of the role, along with participation in the Museum's first aid response team.
This role requires weekend availability as well as occasional working on Bank Holidays, all weekend or bank holiday work is given back as a day in lieu. This is managed by a shift rota a month in advance.
