About our team

Beacon is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic youth engagement worker to work as part of a small team to deliver our SHINE offer to young people. SHINE offers early intervention support to all 11-17 year old’s in Stockport to provide information, advice or guidance regarding their emotional wellbeing. It includes: 2 weekly wellbeing groups, a weekly arts group (delivered by Beacon’s partner), signposting and advice. SHINE develops skills to support emotional wellbeing, build resilience and confidence with weekly themes over 12 weeks.

We are recruiting for a person-centred, passionate and motivated Project Manager to lead one of our new supported living services in Horsforth Leeds. This bespoke service enables young people with autistic spectrum conditions, learning disabilities and complex needs to lead fulfilling, happy and rewarding lives within high quality community-based settings. The group of services you will be managing comprises of this new supported living service for young people, an existing supported living service for adults with learning disabilities, a community café and Creativities our sessional day service.

About the Role:

The Nightstop Coordinator role is busy and varied role, it involves working with young people from when they approach the service to when they find longer term accommodation. You will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all young people, assessing each young person’s needs and risks, finding short and long term housing options, organising the logistics of each Nightstop placement and making sure that each Nightstop placement is safe.

You will also lead on the promotion of the service with the aim of recruiting new Nightstop volunteers. The role will be based in the Manchester office and cover referrals from young people in Greater Manchester

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide a welcoming and supportive service to young people at risk of homelessness

· Conduct needs and risk assessments and arrange Nightstop placements

If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a Caseworker to play a key role in our award-winning SOS+ project. SOS+ educates children and young people around the risks and signs of exploitation, serious violence and gangs, through group facilitated sessions and tailored one-to-one intervention sessions in schools and other community settings. It also takes an evidence-based approach which educates professionals and parents, as well as children and young people between the ages of 10-25 years.

About this key role

A key member of the St Giles Yorkshire team, as well as our Central SOS+ team, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering 1-2-1 educational sessions to children and young people on topics such as grooming, weapons awareness, the reality of prison, gangs, county lines and child sexual exploitation. You’ll also need to work closely with partner agencies and attend multi-agency meetings and support the design and development of new sessions and materials. All the while, you’ll be supported by a Peer Advisor with lived experience of adverse experiences linked to exploitation, county lines or prison. 

What we are looking for

• Experience of engaging with challenging children and young people, e.g., those with complex needs, who are reluctant to discuss their needs or who are angry and confused
• A track record gained working with socially excluded children, young people and adults, including delivering/facilitating sessions to groups – especially socially excluded children and young people in schools or similar settings
• Knowledge of gangs, knife crime and patterns of offending in West Yorkshire or a similar area, plus a proven ability to negotiate and network with partner agencies to establish links to further the aims of a project
• An Education and Training and/or Mentoring Level 3 qualification, or similar, or a willingness to work towards this
• A flexible and collaborative approach, a positive attitude, emotional resilience, confidence when speaking in front of a group and a flair for planning sessions using a variety of resources

The Supporter Care Coordinator role sits within the Supporter Experience team, whose goal is to ensure that all Scope supporters, whether they are giving time, money, or voice, have the best experience each time they interact with us.

The role

As Senior Community Fundraiser, you will play a key role in helping Scope achieve its mission to create a fairer society for disabled people. You will lead community fundraising across the North of the UK, developing inclusive and engaging programmes that empower local volunteers, community groups, and businesses to support our work.

You will:

· Develop and deliver Scope’s Community Fundraising strategy in the North, identifying opportunities that reflect the diversity of local communities.

· Build and nurture relationships with supporters, volunteers and stakeholders, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued and supported.

· Monitor and report on fundraising performance, helping to shape future plans and drive income growth.

· Collaborate with colleagues across Scope to ensure our fundraising activities are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with our values.

· Stay informed about sector trends and bring fresh, inclusive ideas to our fundraising approach.

You will report to the Community Fundraising Lead and work closely with teams across Fundraising, Brand and Marketing, Retail, and Services.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

· Has experience in fundraising and is passionate about engaging communities in meaningful ways.

· Is confident managing community fundraising programmes and volunteers, with strong organisational and project management skills.

· Brings creativity and innovation to fundraising, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

· Communicates clearly and respectfully, and builds inclusive relationships with people from all backgrounds.

· Understands the importance of accessibility, safeguarding, and compliance in community fundraising.

It would be great if you also have:

· An understanding of the social model of disability and the barriers disabled people face

· Experience working with external agencies or managing inclusive fundraising campaigns

· Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising software

· An interest in inclusive event management and supporter stewardship
