Dementia UK’s Mass Participation team is growing! We are looking for a Challenge Events Assistant to join us for an 8-month fixed term contract to support the delivery of additional own place runners as a result of the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon.

Working closely with our Challenge Events Executives and Assistants, you will primarily support the day-to-day delivery of our London Marathon activity. You’ll be a key point of contact for supporters, communicating regularly by phone, email and SMS, providing excellent stewardship and helping with the administration and logistics of the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon. You’ll also support with activity across the wider Challenge Events program.

Whilst the Mass Participation team come to our head office in Aldgate, London twice a week, we have flexible working arrangements for this role, so you can choose to be remote or hybrid. Some flexibility will be needed to travel to the office nearer the time of the 2027 London Marathon and to attend the event to support event logistics.

We are looking for you to be organised, enthusiastic and detail-focused, and have strong administrative and customer service skills. You’ll be confident communicating by phone, email and SMS, comfortable working with databases and data, and able to prioritise a varied workload. Previous experience in an administrative or fundraising environment would be an advantage, but most importantly, you’ll bring a collaborative approach and willingness to learn.

Junior Impact Analyst Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include.

· Supporting on all data related aspects of the programme including data collection, extraction, cleaning, analysis, reporting, and presentation as well as some programme administration.

· Completing data checks to ensure good quality quantitative and qualitative data is collected by frontline workers.

· Maintaining and updating Power BI dashboards with support from central teams. 

· Regular reporting with insights that support continuous improvement of the programme design and delivery.

· Gathering and analysing data to measure the impact of service innovations.

· Producing monthly board packs for programme performance management.

· Supporting Delivery Partner teams (VCSE organisations who are delivering the frontline services) to ensure they are using the data systems accurately and effectively.

· Identifying opportunities for process automation and improving utilisation of management data by colleagues across the programme.

· Supporting with programme administration including task planning, scheduling meetings, preparing invoices, writing minutes of meetings.

· Engaging with other analysts across BOP to share learnings from your own project and implement learnings from other projects in your own.

What you do

Main purpose of post

This is an important role in the fundraising team which is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting opportunities to generate income to achieve Weston Park Cancer Charity’s strategy. This role will support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to secure income generation through corporate organisations. It carries an income target aligned to the grade of the post holder, within an overall corporate income target of over £400,000 per annum.

You will be expected to understand Weston Park Cancer Charity’s unique offer, the needs and priorities of our corporate partners and be capable of taking our propositions and clearly shaping them to create mutual value for the communities we support and our partners.

Key Responsibilities

 · Responsible for an income target of which aligns with the grade of the post, contributing to an overall corporate income target of over £4000k pa.

· Delivers income growth through gifts from corporates, workplace fundraising and public facing corporate donations.

· Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager in developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy which is data driven and demonstrates strong ROI.

· Develop and deliver concepts and ideas, from early discussion through to detailed proposals, working with colleagues across the charity. 

· Contribute to maximising sponsorship of our key programmes such as Big Purple Bus and Grant-Giving for cancer research and other initiatives.

· Write detailed, accurate and compelling bids and proposals that clearly articulate how Weston Park Cancer Charity are the preferred choice to meet the partner and project objectives for Charity of the Year or long-term strategic partnerships.

· Work with our events team to promote opportunities for corporate partners to support the annual events programme e.g. tables at events , team challenge events

· Succinctly communicate the impact of our work, ensuring it inspires and clearly matches the requirements of potential corporate partners and major donors.

· Be a key interface for external corporate enquiries and act as an external ambassador, undertaking significant networking across the region and representing the charity at key meetings and events.

· Be responsible for the management of an agreed number of accounts, providing excellent relationship management.

· Ensure that the resource and capability exist to deliver partner/funder requirements and proactively identify and seek to fill any gaps.

· Ensure we collect detailed and continuous feedback so that we learn from experience and effectively evaluate both successful and unsuccessful funding proposals and initiatives.

· Develop and maintain a prospect pipeline that is realistically capable of meeting agreed income targets and reflects both the strategic priorities of Weston Park Cancer Chairty and the external funding priorities of our corporate partners

· Maximise Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunities, work place fundraising and volunteering, and Gifts in Kind.

Domestic Abuse Women’s Case Worker

37.5 hours per week based at Stockport Women’s Centre

Salary: £26,225 after competencies complete £28,300

Main Aims of the post:

• To support and work with women from Stockport who are experiencing or experienced domestic abuse which will include safety planning, risk assessment, safeguarding, case management and advocacy.
• To hold and manage a caseload, creating and monitoring personalised support plans.
• To deliver group work to women, relating to domestic abuse awareness.
• To provide a weekly drop-in session to women that are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.
• To work collaboratively with our domestic abuse partnership as well as other agencies as appropriate to the case.
• To support the Head of Service as she develops the quality standards for The Women’s Centre.
• as ongoing informal consultation to keep supervisor informed of any changes that require management decisions
• To contribute to the development of the team and to new forms of work or service.
• To maintain an up to date knowledge of and awareness of developments in public policy and legislation regarding women in the criminal justice system and related subjects.

The role

We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to prioritise their own workload whilst advising Scope’s helpline customers. To provide support to helpline customers, supporters and donors and Scope enquiry customers.

In this role, you will:

· Provide consistent high-quality responses to enquiries received at Scope’s Helpline via telephone, email, live chat, our online community, and social networking channels, within set turnaround times.

· Ensure that customers feel valued and are provided with information that is tailored to meet individual need, is accurate, up to date and accessible to them.

· Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and empathetic manner.

· Continually update your knowledge around disability issues and to share learning across the team, to offer an expert service to Scope’s customers.

· Identify the correct person/department and efficiently transfer calls internally when customers ring with general enquiries.

· Ensure that details of all enquiries are logged accurately on the customer database in a timely manner and that quality data and information is maintained.

· Work within Scope’s policies relating to customer confidentiality and data protection.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Stories and Participation Officer is a fundamental cross-organisational role.  Working directly with older people in financial hardship, the role will source, capture and collaborate to share stories, advice and insights from older people, whilst maintaining the highest level of stewardship and safeguarding for this group and supporting organisation wide participation activity.

Reporting into the Participation Manager, you will work champion and deliver meaningful involvement and authentic storytelling to ensure that the experiences of older people are at the centre of Independent Age’s work. You will ensure that participation processes maintain and develop our storytelling expertise and follow good-practice in the sector. The role will recruit and induct older people on a low income to our Lived Experience Network, alert them to opportunities to get involved in shaping and informing Independent Age’s work, facilitate two-way engagement, and work with willing members of the network to share their lived experience and insights, including sharing their story on public and private platforms.

You will need exceptional organisational skills and the ability to proactively drive lived experience work and effective storytelling. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are essential, along with knowledge of best practice in supporting and co-ordinating lived experience participation including online and offline events, groups and meetings to create listening spaces.
