Summary of the role:
The Director of Operations is a pivotal senior leadership role at Sister System, responsible for strengthening the people, culture, systems and organisational foundations that enable our mission to thrive. Working closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees, the postholder will play a central role in delivering our current strategic priorities and shaping the next chapter of Sister System as we develop our future strategy beyond September 2027. 

This is a significant opportunity to help shape a growing, values-led organisation founded on co-curation, sisterhood, race & gender equity and the belief that girls and young women should be active architects of the services, systems and opportunities designed for them. With oversight of financial management, people and culture, compliance, risk and organisational infrastructure, the Director of Operations will lead on empowering & ensuring that our internal culture and ways of working reflect the same care, accountability, ambition and empowerment that sit at the heart of our model. 

The role will be instrumental in translating our founding vision into strong, sustainable practice, ensuring Sister System is equipped to grow its impact while remaining deeply connected to the voices, experiences and leadership of the girls and young women we exist to serve.

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership and Implementation 

• Work closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees to translate Sister System’s strategy, theory of change, operational model and financial plans into clear organisational priorities and coordinated action. 
• Play a central role in shaping Sister System’s next strategy ahead of the September 2027 refresh, ensuring it reflects our founding commitment to co-curation, the voices of girls and young women, our evolving three-stage model and our future growth ambitions. 
• Lead the development of proportionate planning, monitoring and review processes that enable the Senior Leadership Team to track progress, reflect on performance, identify barriers and remain accountable for delivery. 
• Monitor progress against agreed strategic goals and KPIs, ensuring that risks, dependencies and areas requiring leadership attention are clearly identified and addressed. 
• Support senior leaders to turn strategic priorities into realistic plans, with clear ownership, timescales and measurable outcomes.

Financial Strategy and Audit 

• Work closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees to shape, implement and regularly evaluate Sister System’s financial strategy, ensuring it supports our mission, strategic ambitions and long-term sustainability. 
• Provide clear, financial recommendations to the CEO, helping the organisation navigate the balance between delivering high-quality, meaningful impact for girls and young women, achieving value for money and maintaining financial resilience. 
• Translate Sister System’s strategic priorities, delivery model and growth ambitions into realistic financial plans, forecasts and scenarios that support timely and well-informed decision-making. 
• Lead financial scenario planning and ensure that the CEO and Board have a clear understanding of the financial implications, risks and trade-offs associated with key organisational decisions. 
• Lead and oversee the annual audit process, working effectively with external auditors, the finance team, senior leaders and the Board to ensure a robust, timely and transparent process. 
• Ensure that learning and recommendations arising from audits, financial reviews and assurance activity are translated into clear improvements and strengthened organisational practice. 

Financial Management 

• Lead the development, monitoring and management of annual budgets, reforecasts and longer-term financial plans, ensuring resources are aligned with Sister System’s strategic priorities. 
• Hold and actively manage the tension between quality, impact, affordability and value for money, ensuring financial decisions protect the integrity of Sister System’s model and the experience of the girls and young women we serve. 
• Provide the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board with clear, accessible and timely financial information, insight and recommendations to support effective leadership and governance. 
• Produce high-level financial reports and analysis covering budgets, cash flow, reserves, forecasts, strategic KPIs and other relevant performance indicators. 
• Maintain and continuously strengthen proportionate financial systems, controls and processes that reflect Sister System’s size, stage of growth and evolving operating model. 
• Ensure that robust financial and performance-reporting infrastructure is in place, with clear accountability, reliable data and appropriate oversight across the organisation. 
• Support Directors and budget holders to understand their financial responsibilities, manage resources effectively and make informed decisions within agreed parameters. 
• Identify emerging financial risks, pressures and opportunities for greater efficiency, advising the CEO on appropriate actions and ensuring these are monitored and addressed.

Person Specification 
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and values-led operational leader to join Sister System’s Senior Leadership Team. You will combine sound judgement and strong organisational skills with a warm, collaborative leadership style and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for care-affected girls and young women. 

You do not need to be a specialist in every area of the role. You will, however, need the confidence and experience to lead across a broad operational portfolio, work effectively with professional advisers and external providers, and provide clear, practical advice to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees. 

Essential Experience and Knowledge 

• Significant experience in a senior operations, finance, people, governance or organisational leadership role within a charity, social enterprise or similarly values-led organisation.

• Experience of developing and managing organisational budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, with the ability to balance quality, impact, affordability and value for money.

Home-Start Hillingdon is looking for a Dad Matters Co-ordinator to join our collaborative, experienced team. This role will work alongside our existing Co-ordinator to grow and strengthen our Dad Matters programme across the borough.

Dad Matters focuses on the first 1001 days, supporting fathers and male carers to build strong bonds with their baby, alongside support for their mental health and access to services. It’s a role that combines direct work with dads and the practical coordination behind the scenes to keep the service running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing:

Building on the strong foundations of our current Dad Matters programme, you will work collaboratively with our existing Co-ordinator, with a focus on:

• Planning and delivering weekly peer support sessions for dads
• Supporting the development and delivering Dad’s antenatal sessions with local NHS services
• Recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers to contribute to the programme
• Helping dads develop their understanding of building strong parent-infant relationships
• Raising awareness of fathers’ mental health and suicide prevention, especially in the perinatal period
• Supporting the development of a Dad Matters volunteer programme

You’ll be working closely with an experienced colleague, sharing delivery while also taking a lead on planning, organisation, communication and the co-ordination of groups and activities.

This role would be ideal for somebody with experience of working with families or parents, and of planning and running activities, with a genuine passion for supporting fathers to build strong, positive relationships with their babies, look after their mental health and feel more confident in their role. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Manager to turn an ambitious social-impact vision into an operational, referral-ready and funding-ready organisation.

About Pathway to Protection CIC

Pathway to Protection CIC is a newly established Community Interest Company being developed to provide a single point of contact and coordinated pathway of support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

Our aim is to develop referral pathways with the police, domestic abuse refuges, local authorities, social services, healthcare providers and other statutory and voluntary-sector organisations.

Following appropriate assessment and safeguarding, individuals will be supported to access relevant specialist services, including refuge and housing support, advocacy, counselling, welfare assistance and legal advice and representation.

Where legal assistance is required, we intend to establish a transparent and independent panel/referral network of suitably experienced solicitors and law firms, preserving client choice and the independence of the CIC.

The Role

This is a hands-on development role. Working closely with the Founder/Director, you will take a leading role in building the infrastructure required to launch the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• developing and implementing a clear project plan for launching the CIC;

• designing referral, intake, triage and onward-referral pathways;

• developing safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection and case-management policies and procedures;

• building relationships and referral pathways with police, refuges, local authorities, social services, healthcare providers and other relevant organisations;

• developing a transparent framework for a panel/network of independent solicitors and specialist service providers;

• identifying and developing strategic partnerships;

• researching suitable grants, trusts, foundations, commissioning opportunities and other funding streams;

• developing a funding pipeline and preparing high-quality grant, bid and commissioning applications;

• assisting with budgets, monitoring frameworks, outcomes and evidence of impact required by funders;

• supporting appropriate governance and operational structures; and

• establishing clear and measurable milestones towards sustainable service delivery.

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

• project or programme management within the charity, CIC, voluntary or public sector;

• establishing or developing a charity, CIC, community service or social-impact project;

• domestic abuse or Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) services;

• safeguarding and multi-agency working;

• grant and bid writing, fundraising or commissioning; and

• partnership and stakeholder development.

Previous success in securing grant or commissioned funding would be a significant advantage.

Knowledge of domestic abuse referral pathways, IDVA services, MARAC and multi-agency safeguarding arrangements would also be highly desirable.

You should be proactive, organised and capable of taking ownership of a project from concept through to implementation, with excellent written communication, project-planning and stakeholder-management skills.

What Success Will Look Like

By the end of the initial six-month contract, we expect substantial progress towards:

• an established operational and safeguarding framework;

• functioning referral and case-management processes;

• relationships with key referral partners;

• an independent legal referral/panel framework;

• a clear funding strategy and active funding pipeline;

• grant and commissioning applications submitted or in development; and

• a practical plan for sustainable service delivery.

Junior Impact Analyst Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include.

· Supporting on all data related aspects of the programme including data collection, extraction, cleaning, analysis, reporting, and presentation as well as some programme administration.

· Completing data checks to ensure good quality quantitative and qualitative data is collected by frontline workers.

· Maintaining and updating Power BI dashboards with support from central teams. 

· Regular reporting with insights that support continuous improvement of the programme design and delivery.

The Stories and Participation Officer is a fundamental cross-organisational role.  Working directly with older people in financial hardship, the role will source, capture and collaborate to share stories, advice and insights from older people, whilst maintaining the highest level of stewardship and safeguarding for this group and supporting organisation wide participation activity.

Reporting into the Participation Manager, you will work champion and deliver meaningful involvement and authentic storytelling to ensure that the experiences of older people are at the centre of Independent Age’s work. About us 

The Ben Kinsella Trust is one of the UK’s leading anti-knife crime charities. We were set up following the tragic murder of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella in 2008, and everything we do is guided by his legacy. Our mission is to prevent knife crime through education and campaigning. 

Ben was a kind, creative young person who loved art, music, Arsenal FC, and making people laugh. He had big dreams of becoming a graphic designer. His death was a senseless act of violence, and the outpouring of grief and public support that followed marked the start of a movement. Ben’s own words, written shortly before his death, called for change, and his voice continues to inspire our work.  

Through immersive workshops in our Choices and Consequences Exhibitions and free online resources, we have reached over 50,000 young people so far. Our work challenges myths about knife crime, strengthens peer influence, and sparks meaningful conversations. As we grow, we remain committed to honouring Ben’s life by making a real, lasting difference to young people across the UK.

About the Role 

We are looking for an education or youth work professional who can deliver our programmes to a very high standard. You will be a skilled facilitator and communicator who can engage with young people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Employer Partnerships at Unifrog

We provide employers in the UK with a unique opportunity to connect with 1.9 million students and thousands of careers leaders and teachers at our partner schools and colleges. What you’ll do

The Head of Employer Partnerships role is to make sure we achieve our partner growth, resubscription and revenue targets. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving sales excellence within the team, and ensuring a sky high resubscription rate. You’ll also establish and develop relationships with partner networks who can help us raise our profile in the early careers space, and secure opportunities to share our data insights with emerging talent and CSR audiences. 

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the Employers team to achieve their objectives, including increasing our partner base, the diversity of our employer partners, and hitting revenue and resubscription targets.

• Shadow the Employer Partnerships Managers on demos and check-in calls. Share best practice, give feedback and support the team to perform as best they can.

• Support the Employer Engagement Coordinator and Partnerships Managers with account management processes and look for ways to improve return on investment for partners.

• Work closely with the New Business Lead to build prospecting campaigns and achieve demo targets.

• Conduct performance reviews and support the team with their development goals.

• Be the point person for escalation of issues related to partners at a high risk of being lost/that have expressed a desire to end their partnership with us.

• Establish and develop lasting partnerships with leading networks in the early careers space.

• Be responsible for the sales and partner retention for a small number of employers, with the responsibilities of an Employer Partnerships Manager.

• Lead on in-person and online events, working closely with our Events and Marketing teams to deliver outstanding and impactful experiences for our employer partners, teacher, student and parent audiences.

Working together

You will line manage the Employer Partnerships Managers and Employer Engagement Coordinator. You’ll work closely with the New Business Lead, Data and UK school and colleges teams, and liaise with the Marketing and Events team on the promotion of events and collateral required. 

You will report to the Partnerships Director for UK and Employers.

• 2+ years sales experience.

• Strong leadership skills and line management experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams and individuals.

• Proven track record of excellent relationship management.

• A background or interest in Early Careers/Talent or Social Value.

• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.

• Personable and resilient.

• Innovative and able to implement and execute strategies.

• Proficient in forecasting and data analysis.

• Excellent presentation skills to represent Unifrog at events.

Key details

• £52,000 per annum (Grade D) pro rata, plus commission from employer partnerships in your portfolio and performance-related incentives. (OTE £57,000 per annum, pro rata).

• Full-time.

• Fixed-term contract for 15 months. 

• Work remotely or in our London or Edinburgh offices.

• 28 days paid holiday per year (plus bank holidays).

• Working hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00am to 4:30pm on Friday.

• Start date: 2nd November 2026, though we will be flexible for the right candidates.
