As Director, Programmes you’ll be a key member of the senior leadership team within our Programmes Division.

You will be accountable for the successful delivery and oversight of high-profile educator development programmes, and specifically our Early Career Teacher programme. About the role

This position involves supporting the Finance department by providing financial assistance to the Head of Finance in maintaining the organisation’s financial records and internal controls.

You will utilise your finance skills to ensure that transactions are accurately and promptly recorded, and you’ll assist in preparing high-quality month-end reports. Overview

Working with partners is a crucial part of our strategy to improve outcomes from sepsis.

As UK Sepsis Trust’s Corporate Engagement Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising efforts by cultivating and managing relationships with corporate partners. Working closely with the Head of Partnerships, Fundraising and Events colleagues, your primary responsibility will be to secure financial support from businesses and other organisations through various income-generating initiatives and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Partnership Development

· Identify and research potential corporate partners aligned with the mission and values of the charity.

· Develop and implement plans to cultivate relationships with new and existing corporate decision-makers.

· Present compelling proposals and tailored fundraising opportunities to corporate prospects.

Fundraising Initiatives

· Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events tailored to corporate donors.

· Collaborate with colleagues to create promotional materials and collateral for corporate fundraising activities.

· Coordinate sponsorship opportunities and recognition for corporate donors.

Donor Stewardship

· Provide excellent stewardship to existing corporate donors, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.

· Regularly communicate impact reports and updates to corporate partners to demonstrate the value of their support.

· Organise corporate engagement activities such as site visits, volunteer opportunities, and networking events.

Revenue Generation

· Set ambitious fundraising targets and work with colleagues to develop plans to achieve them.

· Track and report on fundraising progress, providing regular updates to colleagues.

· Explore innovative fundraising ideas and opportunities to diversify revenue streams from corporate donors.

Relationship Management

· Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with corporate partners, serving as the primary point of contact for fundraising-related inquiries.

· Maintain accurate records of all corporate interactions and donations on the CRM system.

Experience/ qualifications

· At least 2 years’ experience in corporate fundraising or business development, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

· Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage corporate stakeholders at all levels.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the charity's mission and impact effectively.

· Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets.

· Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to take responsibility for the delivery of several key functions within the Supporter Care and Operations team. You will be responsible for the importing of data into the database, making sure that our supporters and beneficiaries receive an excellent experience by inputting high quality data and ensuring that our database is accurate at all times. 

You’ll have knowledge of a relational database, excellent attention to detail and be skilled and comfortable in building good working relationships. 

The role also includes providing excellent service and delivery of supporter care and thanking supporters promptly and appropriately.

• Database support experience (charity database preferred but not essential) 

• Experience of formatting and importing data to a database from external sources to agreed timescales 

• Experience of exporting, de-duping and formatting data from a large dataset

About you and the role:

This role is an integral part of an ambitious programme to empower and train up the country’s school kitchen workforce through our School Chef Educator Programme, a hybrid course set over 10 weeks, including in-person sessions, webinars and self-guided e-learning on our learning platform. The programme has successfully trained over 130 school chefs nationwide, from London to Yorkshire, the West Midlands to Cornwall. 

Our ultimate goal is that every school in the country has a person leading their kitchen who is a recognised food educator, playing a crucial role in shaping kids’ eating habits for life. 

Your role will be to deliver the School Chef Educator Programme both in-person and online to school kitchen workforces across the country, helping to inspire them to achieve higher levels of knowledge and standards of food quality. 

Supported by the Programme Manager, you will maintain and develop the online learning platform, design new and exciting training materials and learner experiences in order to maintain relevance and attract new customer bases across the school food sector.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead on the organisation and delivery of in-person and online training sessions to enrolled participants of the School Chef Educator Programme at a variety of locations

• Assist in the maintenance of the online database of participants, schools and funder information

• Manage, monitor and report learner progress to the Programme Manager

• Maintain, update and develop relevant training materials to keep our programme up to date

• Work with our evaluation team to monitor and survey the effectiveness of the training programme

• Design and refine the delivery of the core modules within our training programme as well as additional resources to support organisational objectives

• Lead on planning, scheduling  and delivering programmes, in a time efficient and cost effective manor

• Work with our Fundraising Team to keep them up to date with the latest progress on our training programmes, providing qualitative and quantitative evidence to share with charity funders

• Attend monthly ‘Innovation’ days to develop recipes and other resources, and support the Transformation team with delivery when required

• Support and work with the School Engagement Manager to ensure School Chef Educator Programme cohorts are filled

• Assist in the delivery of events outside of the SCE programme, including membership meetings, fundraising events, networking and wider organisational events

Essential skills & experience include:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to create clear, engaging, and accessible online learning resources

• Great people skills to quickly build rapport with learners from a wide variety of backgrounds and skill levels - striking a balance between being supportive and challenging 

• Excellent digital skills in order to manage participants' online progress and records

• Excellent presentation skills to deliver engaging in-person and live online training sessions

• Excellent organisation, scheduling and time management skills

• Some experience working in a catering or kitchen environment, ability to assist or lead the culinary training elements of the training programme

• Food Hygiene level 2 or 3 

Desirable skills and experience include:

• Experience in delivering well-structured and impactful in-person and online training sessions to a kitchen workforce or adult learners

• An understanding of the challenges and opportunities to working in school food and school catering work environments

• An understanding of hospitality, especially on how to deliver quality food and service within a budget

• Experience delivering multiple online training programmes across different geographical areas

• A full UK driving licence
