What is the role of Supporter Connection and Engagement Officer?
The Supporter Connection and Engagement Officer plays a key role in building and strengthening relationships with our supporters, this can include churches, church leaders, key volunteers and individual. You’ll engage with people personally – primarily through phone and email – to inspire generosity, communicate impact, and ensure every supporter feels valued and connected to Church Army’s mission.
You’ll also support the smooth running of our supporter systems, helping ensure that data is accurate and that every interaction leads to meaningful follow-up. This is a varied role where you’ll balance communication, administration, and creativity – while developing skills that will serve you throughout your career.

Overview of Role:

The CRM and Systems Lead plays a key role in supporting Church Army’s adoption and effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365. The postholder will take day-to-day ownership of the CRM, acting as the ‘go-to’ expert for users, maintaining high-quality supporter data, and ensuring data is managed in line with best practice and data protection principles. They will support and train colleagues, building engagement and buy-in to the system, and embedding effective, consistent use across teams. They will also maximise the potential of Dynamics 365 and the accompanying digital marketing platform, Customer Insights, to create accurate supporter segments for effective mail and email campaigns.

Salary: £37,924 per annum (FTE, pro-rata for a part-time role)

• Location: East or Midlands based, either home based or in Headway UK’s office in Nottingham.

Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.

By participating in the scheme Approved Provider units affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation of units is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our accreditation process is designed to be collaborative and supportive, guiding units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.

The role will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with the Approved Provider and Training Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

What you will do:

• Conduct Approved Provider assessments, which includes going into brain injury residential units and assessing the services they provide and making recommendations, to improve practice against the framework.

• Contributing to the development and growth of Headway UK’s Approved Provider scheme, by continuing to drive forward standards and onboarding new units.

About you

Purpose of the Job  

The Quality and Service Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our systems by carrying out testing activity for enhancements across Salesforce, Dynamics and Business Central. The role supports the smooth delivery of changes by combining structured testing with targeted service support, including triage of incoming issues and resolution of tickets.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• reating test plans based on user requirements with the Service Manager to enable testing to be done by the wider business.
• Create clear documentation regarding test outcomes, learnings from the enhancements and suggestions to improve them moving forward.
• Work proactively with the business to understand key systems and how they work.
• Be an internal point of contact between the business and our external IT provider by assisting in approval, information gathering to ensure smooth service.
• Support the Service Manager to ensure that tickets are managed and resolved within a timely manner.
• Monitor recurring issues and share insights that help improve system quality and inform future enhancements.
• Work with the business and the Service desk manager to understand prioritisation of work and assist in working out return on investment of required work.
• Carry out manual testing on BAU changes and new enhancements in the following systems – Salesforce, Dynamics, PowerBI and Business Central.
• Adhering to team set KPIS on ticket resolutions
• Retrospective reviews regarding test plans, facilitation of testing and manually testing.
• Monthly calls with the service manager to pass on learnings and review process of tickets.

• Lead internal research projects using beneficiary data, surveys, and feedback loops.  

• Scope and manage external research partnerships with academic institutions or sector bodies.

• Lead our existing advisory group (for children and young people) and establish new groups as required (e.g. for adult services).

Communication of Impact  

• Create clear, accessible insight reports and data summaries for internal and external use  

• Lead the delivery of the annual Impact Report (content, structure, coordination with teams).  

• Develop quarterly insight packs for funders and stakeholders, with engaging visuals and stories.  

• Work with the Outreach Squad to ensure impact is integrated into campaigns and storytelling.  

Learning & Collaboration  

• Act as the internal ‘voice of insight’ – bringing beneficiary perspective and data into key conversations.  

• Contribute to team training on evaluation, feedback collection, and outcomes thinking.  

• Participate in cross-functional planning, especially with the Service Delivery and Outreach Squads.  

Policy (Light Touch)  

• Track key developments in bereavement, the Armed Forces, and children, young people and families policy  

• Produce brief summaries or ‘position snapshots’ where relevant to Scotty’s mission  

• Build relationships with other research and impact professionals in the sector  

The 30-day goals for this role are: 

• Build a deep understanding of Scotty’s mission, our audience, the services we provide, and strategic direction. 

• Develop a deep understanding of our current Success Measures, Impact measurements and Theory of Change.  

• Reviewing research and data produced by the charity and related external research previously published.  

• Understand the data structure and reporting capabilities of Salesforce (CRM).  

• Understand existing commitments (e.g. funder report, impact reports etc).  

• Taken ownership of our 2026 Community-wide survey (project will be handed over upon start).  

The 60-day goals for this role are: 

• Audit current data quality and gaps across the F-Team Programmes.  

• Worked with the Families Team to develop the first adult lived experience advisory group.   

• Reached out to relevant impact and research groups to introduce yourself, particularly those attached the military or bereavement charitable sectors.  

• Identified 1-2 relevant conferences or forums for Scotty’s to present at.  

• Build ideas, working with the Head of Service, that can help teams improve current Success Measures and Impact measurements. 

The 90-day goals for this role are: 

• Held at least 1 adult lived experience advisory group session.  

• Created and shared the first quarterly Impact Review for internal use.   

• Fully taken accountability for impact reporting and research projects within the charity and able to demonstrate a clear plan of action for the rest of the year.  

• Proposed an outline for the Annual Family Feedback Survey in September.  

• Start to co-ordinate the 2026 Impact Report 

About You 

Must-Have  

Proven experience in research and impact evaluation, ideally in the charity or public sector  

Strong skills in data collection, survey design, and analysis

About the Role

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering South Central Scotland.

Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is home based and the candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region covered. Occasional travel to London will be required.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project or Programme Manager to support a high-impact cancer programme, bringing structure, clarity and momentum at a critical point in delivery.

Our client is a well-established UK cancer charity working in partnership with NHS systems, public health bodies and local communities to improve outcomes and save lives. About the role

The Early Diagnosis Programme is a major national initiative, working closely with health and community partners. The programme focuses on increasing symptom awareness, encouraging timely GP presentation and improving screening uptake through tailored local interventions.

As Temporary Project Manager, you will play a central role in operationalising the programme, developing the tools, processes and governance required to support effective delivery until the end of June 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage programme plans, timelines and milestones
• Coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams including communications, partnerships, data and local delivery
• Establish governance structures and schedule programme and steering group meetings
• Create and maintain core programme tools including risk and issue logs and budget tracking

Job Purpose

To lead the operational delivery of Humanimal Trust’s charitable aims and strategic objectives, as set by the Board of Trustees, ensuring that plans are translated into clear priorities, well-managed programmes and effective day-to-day operations. The postholder will line manage the operational team, oversee the finances and the fundraising activities, and maintain strong governance and compliance within Charity Commission requirements, at all times representing the Trust’s One Medicine purpose with professionalism and integrity.

Main Responsibilities and Role

· Line-manage the operational team: allocate work, set objectives, provide coaching, and manage performance and wellbeing

· Maintain and improve operational policies, procedures and controls in line with charity regulation, GDPR/data protection and recognised good practice

· Ensure effective delivery of core operational functions (administration, supporter care, governance support, data management and supplier coordination)

· Protect the Trust’s reputation by maintaining high standards of quality, confidentiality, safeguarding and risk management

· Develop and implement operational plans that translate Trustee priorities into clear workstreams, milestones and accountabilities

· Plan, organise and prioritise team workload and resources to deliver objectives, balancing immediate operational needs with longer-term planning

· Maintain and review the Trust’s policies and guidance documents

Essential

· Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with Trustees, colleagues, volunteers and external stakeholders.

· Strong people management skills, supporting staff through change, setting clear expectations and creating an inclusive, high-performing team culture.

· Demonstrable experience working in or with a charity/not-for-profit, with a good understanding of governance, compliance and supporter-facing operations (experience in human health, animal health or science an advantage).

· Strong judgement and analytical skills, able to manage competing priorities, budgets and risks and to deliver reliably in a small-organisation environment.

Desirable

· Understanding of the UK charity regulatory environment and good governance practice.

Job Context and Special Features
