Project Trust is an education charity with over fifty years’ experience in international volunteering for young people.  We organise challenging, long-term placements for 17–25-year-olds with partnership organisations in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

We annually select up to 200 young people from across the UK for sustainable teaching and youth development projects around the world.  Our Volunteers are provided with training and support before, during and after their international placements, and return home with broadened horizons and an impressive range of transferable skills, true Global Citizens.

We are looking for a talented and versatile Volunteer & Schools Engagement Coordinator to recruit and support Volunteers for our immersive and focused international placements.  This is an exciting role for a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills to work with inspirational young people from across the UK, enabling them to achieve their dream of an international volunteering placement.

The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual with the ability to build and maintain relationships with schools and with young people.  We are looking for an inspiring public speaker who is able to engage with and motivate young people to support the recruitment, retention and fundraising efforts of our future Volunteers.

The role is home-based and will involve travel throughout England, including overnight stays, plus some travel to meetings elsewhere in the UK. There will be the occasional requirement to work evenings and weekends.

• Recruit Volunteer candidates through delivery of inspiring presentations within schools, youth organisations and careers fairs

We’ve launched a bold new pilot in the West Midlands to tackle the urgent issue of late prostate cancer diagnosis in Black men and we need a dynamic Project Manager to lead the way. What the job involves

As the Project Manager, you’ll lead an innovative pilot designed to tackle late diagnosis of prostate cancer in Black men. Day to day, you’ll shape and deliver a regional model that breaks down systemic barriers to early diagnosis - from coordinating the unification of efforts to address drivers of inequity in prostate cancer to establishing a new bridging fund to support cross-sector partnerships. You’ll work closely with community organisations, Primary Care Networks and NHS stakeholders, bringing people together to build trust and drive practical, measurable improvements.

You’ll be someone who cares deeply about health equity and is motivated by making real change happen for Black men in prostate cancer. We’re looking for someone who has experience designing or delivering community‑based health projects and feels confident working across sectors to build strong, equitable partnerships. How and where we work

Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.

We are seeking an experienced individual to help us deliver a productive, empowering, needs-orientated programme of training and development activities for community rail groups. Under the guidance of the Training & Development Co-ordinator you will aim to strengthen the community rail movement and enhance the value it delivers to communities. 

About us 

Community Rail Network is a not-for-profit organisation, working across Britain to support a growing ‘community rail’ movement. Community rail promotes sustainable and inclusive travel, coordinates volunteering and place-making projects, and brings people together. 

Community rail is made up of 77 community-based partnership organisations, 1,300 station friends volunteer groups, and other community-led initiatives around Britain. Their activities range from creative projects with young people, to advising train operators on service improvements, to building travel confidence with families and marginalised groups, to biodiversity projects at stations, to promoting greener travel and tourism by rail. 

Our enthusiastic team of 23 works mainly from home in different locations, but we come together regularly in person and online. We work collaboratively to advise our members, provide training, events and resources, run campaigns, and champion community rail and its insights via decision-makers and the media. We believe in developing our team and supporting everyone to reach their potential while having a good work-life balance. 

 
Responsibilities: 

You are principally responsible for supporting the delivery of a year-round programme of high quality, empowering training and development opportunities for our members. The programme will be delivered in line with inclusion and accessibility best practice, will be largely online with some face-to-face sessions and events.

• Work with the Training and Development Co-ordinator to agree a rolling programme of training that supports member organisation capabilities and their impact on communities. 

• Topics will largely include areas required to achieve accreditation (for CRP’s) as well as good community-based practice for other member types. This includes but is not limited to training to support members with skills in creating and prioritising activity plans, project management, how to apply for grants and funding (including our own grants funds), how to prepare for an accreditation meeting, designing good outcomes and demonstrating organisational impact (including impact reports and use of social media), community engagement, volunteer recruitment, and co-production techniques. 

• Work with the Training & Development Co-ordinator to ensure your own understanding of these topics is current and identifying areas for personal development to support our training offer to be more robust. 

• Work with colleagues in other teams to set up, administer and deliver (largely online) webinars, networking and showcase events, setting them up, researching and engaging speakers and collating case studies to use, sending invites, facilitating the presenters and discussion during the event, and collating and reporting on feedback to inform future sessions. 

• Support the T&D Co-ordinator, colleagues in the regional support team, and communications team, to promote training and networking sessions effectively. 

• Where directed ensure we maintain high-quality training partnerships and opportunities that members can be signposted to and be responsible for administering our bursary scheme.

• Regularly report on bursary expenditure, member feedback, attendance figures and any specific funder requirements. 

• Be responsible for supporting member organisations and colleagues to use our impact reporting platform and to keep up to date on any changes in how we record and demonstrate the social, economic and environmental impact of community rail. 

• Attend team and all staff meetings, online and in person, contributing to strategic shared areas of work, information sharing and workforce development activities.

As Welfare Rights Adviser, you will support our Professional Services/Welfare Rights Manager in delivering advice to members of myaware via telephone, email, Teams and Zoom channels.  You will provide detailed benefit checks and advice and support with disability benefit applications, supersessions, reviews and mandatory reconsiderations/appeals.  You will also advise on employment law, including the Equality Act and right to reasonable adjustments at work, driving and transport, heath and social care, housing rights, grants and utility discounts.  You will provide initial advice and signposting for other areas.such as financial advice and immigration queries.

You will also be required to support Zoom sessions for members, create social media posts, write newsletter content and support our research and campaigning work.

Myaware is the only myasthenia charity in the UK.The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or ethnicity.  Myasthenia Gravis, Ocular Myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS) are autoimmune conditions whereas Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome (CMS) is an inherited genetic condition.It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families and offer advice and tips for living with the condition.  Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our welfare rights service.

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.

Our vision at Rafiki Thabo Foundation is that young people, including those living with disabilities, will be empowered through education to enable them to reach their full potential and initiate positive change in their communities. We do this by enabling access to education for disadvantaged children and young people for whom escaping the poverty cycle would be impossible without support.  

By the end of 2025 we had supported 910 children and young people through education on our scholarship programme and this year we are proud to support more than 400 scholars, 45 of whom live with a disability. We also enable access to education through our Eat Well to Learn programme and school infrastructure development programme.

Position: Digital Marketing Manager

Responsible to: Head of Fundraising

Location: Remote (home based with option to work from our Abingdon charity shop)

Contract: Part-time. Permanent after 6 months’ probation, or freelance

Hours: 15 hours per week plus 4 floating hours on demand

Salary: £27,000 Full Time Equivalent if employed. If freelance, daily rates can be discussed.

Annual leave and benefits: 

• 5.6 weeks per year FTE (pro rata based on weekly hours)
• Flexible working pattern (as long as predominantly during business hours)
• Pension scheme with matched contributions if employed. 4% employer / 4% employee

What you will be working on:

• You will lead the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns and initiatives across all online channels, including the website, SEO/SEM/AI Overviews, social media, supporter stewardship and marketing e-mails, to enhance charity visibility and drive supporter retention and acquisition
• You will manage website content and performance, oversee paid media campaigns, and analyse digital metrics to inform strategy and optimise ROI. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Director, you’ll ensure all digital activities align with our charity goals and fundraising strategy
• You will manage content creation and social media calendars, deliver targeted email campaigns, and monitor the online reputation of our charity to maintain a strong and positive presence. You will ensure our digital presence drives supporter and income growth by identifying the right audiences, driving engagement and qualifying interest in readiness to move up our supporter funnel
• A focus on data and insights using our CRM is instrumental to the supporter journeys and fundraising funnel and will in addition to the more creative aspects of the role where this insight translates into appealing content and campaigns targeted towards the right audience, be an important part of your day-to-day work
• You will also be responsible for regular reporting and analysis which will guide continuous improvement, while your awareness of emerging trends will help keep Rafiki Thabo current in digital marketing
• Ultimately you will play a key role in our digital marketing and communication activities, creating awareness that converts supporters up the fundraising funnel and be integral to our future growth and success

This job is for you if you…

• Are a marketing all-rounder with strong digital marketing experience
• Are experienced in developing, managing, delivering and optimising digital marketing campaigns across social media, search, website and e-mail marketing to drive brand awareness, lead generation, supporter engagement
• You have enough experience to hit the ground running and take the lead in your role
• You have strong knowledge and experience of SEO/SEM, AI, Google and Meta Ads, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager
• You are proficient in using CRM systems in conjunction with automated marketing tools for support stewardship journeys and building CRM dashboards to track KPIs and engagement
• You have a positive mindset and a ‘can do’ attitude, with a flexible, conscientious, self-motivated and proactive approach to working independently while also being a team-player
• You have excellent communication skills, and a creative yet data-driven and supporter focused approach

We have been retained by our client, Sale Sharks Foundation, for the recruitment of a new Part-Time, Head of Finance. Sale Sharks Foundation use the power of sport to change lives throughout the North West.  They work with over 21,000 people annually in three areas: Community Inclusion, Education & Rugby Development. 

As Part-Time Head of Finance, you will be a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Trustees, central to ensuring the charity’s financial sustainability, resilience and growth and helping the organisation maximise its impact through clear insight, strong governance and smart financial planning. We are looking for a qualified finance professional to join the senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the charity. 

The Role:

•  Acting as a key financial advisor to the CEO, SLT and Trustees
•  Leading budgeting, forecasting and quarterly re-forecasting processes
•  Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts with clear insight and commentary
•  Monitoring cashflow and reserves, advising on risk, investment and long-term sustainability
• Overseeing bookkeeping, reconciliations and debtor management
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns and monthly Gift Aid claims
• Managing restricted, unrestricted and designated funds in line with charity accounting standards
• Ensuring timely month-end close and reporting
• Supporting grant reporting and funder compliance
• Managing invoicing, supplier payments and relationships
• Owning and optimising QuickBooks, with a focus on automation and efficiency
• Ensuring compliance with Charity Commission and Companies House requirements
• Leading audit preparation and working closely with external auditors
• Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
• Maintaining and improving financial controls, policies and procedures
• Keeping abreast of regulatory changes e.g new SORP framework and advising accordingly

About you

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual, who is capable of creating and delivering a strategic approach to commercial partnership development. The role requires an inspiring, solutions-focused and forward-thinking individual, with a proven track record in commercial development. Candidates should have an understanding of the relationship between charities and the healthcare industry, including pharmaceutical companies, and be able to show relevant experience of taking a strategic approach to creating and further developing a commercial development proposition, within either the voluntary or private sectors.

A self-starter, happy working independently, and as part of a team, we are looking for a strategic thinker with well-developed business/commercial skills and the ability to translate strategy into action. The successful candidate will be an accomplished communicator, who is able to create new and build existing relationships, and work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. As well as creating strategy, you will need to be comfortable delivering all aspects of business development including initial prospecting, preparation, presentation, negotiating, handling objections, closing, and ongoing partnerships stewardship and development.

About the role

After extensive scoping work throughout 2025, we are launching an exciting project to create a step change in the way we deliver our organisational knowledge, clinical expertise and information to add commercial value to potential customers across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies.  This new role of Head of Commercial Development will own the creation, development and delivery of this work.

You will be responsible for leading the creation of a commercial proposition for Myeloma UK, which will deepen relationships with the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical industry and other associated sectors, to promote Myeloma UK’s knowledge and expertise for commercial return.  You will lead, develop and deliver our commercial development strategy, to include research, partner development and ongoing portfolio growth and development, to deliver a long-term, sustainably growing income stream from Myeloma UK’s commercial relationships.  In addition, you will be expected to develop strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including key individuals across the organisation.

Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with a fantastic health charity to recruit their Community Fundraiser – North. Covering Yorkshire, Northeast and Northwest of England, you will focus on their key audiences of Individuals, Supporter Groups, Community organisations, Regional Corporates & Volunteers. Through the provision of exceptional stewardship & fundraising support, you will engage the community, maximising opportunities to raise funds in the Region.

Key Responsibilities:

· Developing & implementing a Regional Community Fundraising Strategy 25/26.

· Achieving agreed regional fundraising KPIs & contributing to the overall delivery of annual fundraising budgets and targets.

· Recruiting, building and maintaining relationships with the Community across the Region.  Aiming to increase their fundraising and encourage their ongoing participation in events and activities. This may be through community fundraising or using our fundraising products or initiatives.

· Recruiting, training and managing a network of regional volunteers who will support activity in the Region.

· Working collaboratively across the wider Charity Team to identify fundraising opportunities & maximise income in the region.

· Keeping the CRM fully up to date with information about supporters and their activities. Using that data to understand what motivates supporters in order to provide excellent stewardship

Person Specification:

· Record of achievement in a community, corporate or events team role·

· Proven experience in promoting & supporting a wide range of DIY & Supporter-led activities including livestreaming, virtual events & seasonal Community Fundraising products.

· Recruiting, supporting and supervising volunteers. · 

· Ability to work as a part of a flexible team and contribute to group and individual goals & KPIs · 

· Proven experience of working to and delivering high Income targets

· Proven ability to work remotely.

· Experience in working with a relational CRM database.

· Experience of cross-team working with internal and external stakeholders.

· Hold a UK driving licence and car, and be willing and able to travel within the UK.
