 Marketing and Communications

A national charity seeking a Interim Senior Commercial Management Accountant to support their finance team during a period of growth and transformation.

This role will play a critical part in leading the development of costing and pricing models to support strategic decision-making. You will also deliver high-quality financial planning and strengthen financial insight across the organisation.

The Role

As Senior Commercial Management Accountant, you will provide crucial support across financial planning, forecasting, modelling, and operational finance. Working closely with the Head of Finance & Finance Director, you will help deliver the charity’s mid-year forecast, develop organisational planning tools for the upcoming financial year, and lead on advanced costing and pricing work to support strategic decisions.

You will also support technical areas including partial VAT recovery, internal financial controls, and the migration of a small trading subsidiary to a new finance system. We are seeking a Community Development Officer to lead a major in-progress project improving recognition, support, and care for people with smell and taste disorders at a local level across England. 

This three-year, volunteer-led programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund has achieved significant success in its first eighteen months. We are now recruiting a new postholder to take this strong foundation forward through the next phase of delivery. 

Over the past eighteen months, we have recruited and established a thriving network of volunteers and local groups across England. This momentum is expected to continue. The Community Development Officer will work closely with existing volunteers and groups, primarily remotely, while also attending in-person events and meetings in different parts of England as needed. 

The postholder will lead the ongoing recruitment, training, and support of volunteer groups, working with them to identify opportunities for local outreach and engagement. Together, you will ensure that more people affected by smell and taste disorders access the information, support, and recognition they need, while continuing to raise awareness of these often-unrecognised sensory impairments.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Peer Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service. The role includes:

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract (with a view to a permanent position)

Hours: 35 hour per week

The Role

• Identifying strong funding opportunities contributing to both the income forecast meetings and pipeline requirements – targeting Springboard programme priorities aligned to our strategy.
• Drafting and submitting successful regional and national bids and tenders including trusts & foundations; targeted public funding opportunities; and corporate income opportunities as and where appropriate.
• Helping to lead Springboard’s fundraising team, developing and overseeing the organisation’s fundraising pipeline, management systems and KPIs. 
• Facilitating internal and external stakeholder meetings related to funding and reporting requirements including: research; profiling; design; income targets, budgets and operations.
• Preparing reports, proposals and other documents as required, to a high standard.
• Cultivating and managing relationships with various funders and supporters, ensuring effective stewardship and sustained support with repeated/increased giving where possible, allocating accounts to colleagues as required.
• Liaising with operational and delivery teams to brief on funding contract requirements.
• Providing staff training and supporting fellow bid writers by reviewing and amending content.
• Carrying out 121s, personal development and performance reviews in line with Springboard procedures.

-Experienced in successful bid writing with the ability to be both strategic and hands on.

-Ability to be creative in matching Springboard services with suitable funders.

-Excellent verbal, written skills & attention to detail.

-Understanding of data protection and GDPR.

-Ability to interrogate excel data, prepare budgets and forecasts.

-Desire to work in a highly focused, results driven fundraising team.
