Terrence Higgins Trust is recruiting a Head of Public Fundraising to lead and grow our individual giving, legacies, community fundraising (including our shop), database and supporter care programmes.

You will drive supporter engagement, develop effective fundraising campaigns, and maximise income to help us deliver our mission. The Fundraising and Communications team source the vital income needed for the organisation to create impact and maximise that impact for our service users and beneficiaries. This team provides innovative ways to reach and engage our many stakeholders using the latest tools available. Made up of experts passionate about their chosen specialism (income generation, press & media, digital communications, marketing and policy), the Fundraising and Communications team engage our supporters, extend our reach, make our voice heard and create real change for our many beneficiaries.

You will be responsible for coordinating the internal operations of the organisation including contract management, ICT, office and HR support.  This role will also be responsible for travel logistics, event administration, contractual, grant and financial administration and internal office systems. This would include but is not limited to reviewing financial reports, checking invoices and timesheets, booking meeting spaces, catering for meetings, booking staff travel, insurance renewal and support on managing the IT and HR providers.

The appointee will also take the same role for CoST – The Infrastructure Transparency Initiative – a transparency and accountability programme which operates in 21 countries.

Key responsibilities: 

Execute financial administration tasks to time (25%):

• Add invoices to the accounting software package Xero purchase ledger 

• Support payments to suppliers and partners. 

• Preparing sales invoices for submission 

• Review invoices and timesheets submitted by consultants prior to payment. 

Organising and providing meeting support (15%):

• Organise meetings and international workshops in the UK and in overseas locations within an agreed budget. This includes the planning and coordination of logistics, such as participants registrations, venue selection, travel arrangement, accommodation and catering, as well as the circulation of meeting documents and invitations, and the processing of travel expenses and invoices. 

• Provide on the day support for meetings and workshops including catering and ICT. 

• To provide secretarial support to the Board of Trustees. including identification of appropriate meeting dates, circulation of papers and drafting of minutes.

• Update information concerning Trustees and the latest audit with Companies House. 

Support the administration and monitoring of grants agreements (15%)

• Coordinate the invitation and submission of grant proposals. 

• Prepare draft grant agreements based on approved applications. 

• Review quarterly financial reports submitted by partners in receipt of grant funding highlighting any areas of concern and improvement. 

• Carry out internal financial audits of partners in receipt of grant funding highlighting any areas of concern and improvement in how the funding is managed. 

Coordinating the administration and monitoring of consultancy contracts  (25%). 

• Support the recruitment, negotiations and management of consultants and advisors including coordination with the client. 

• Prepare draft consultancy contracts based the agreed scope of work and conditions. 

• Coordinate and monitor consultants’ timesheets to capture time billed against the days allocated in the contracts and approval process. 

Execute office administrative tasks to time (20%)

• Coordinate, relay internal emails to staff, reserve equipment and venues for presentations and in-person staff meetings, maintain office calendars and send out meeting reminders. 

• Provide administrative assistance to colleagues when necessary. 

• Coordinate ICT issues with the service provider. 

• Day-to-day management of staff recruitment including placing of advertisements and arrangements for shortlisting/interviewing. 

• Maintaining staff personnel files and holiday and sick leave records 

• Support renewing insurance policies.

• Support the development of operational policies including financial procedures, employee handbook etc. 

• Support organisational planning and diary management. 

• Provide administrative assistance to colleagues when necessary. 

• Coordinate shared meeting space, travel, ICT and HR support agreements and operations to ensure the company provides the agreed service. 

Experience 

At least 2-3 years’ experience of operational administration and/or assistance with programme oversight, including implementation and governance.

Experience of administering financial, contracting and operational systems. 

Experience of project management and events administration, both online and in person.

Desirable Experience 

International travel logistics and finance administration. 

Background in not-for-profit sector.

The support of people with dementia, learning or physical disabilities, mental health difficulties or substance misuse problems by unpaid carers has been estimated to save the government close to the equivalent expenditure for the whole NHS.

We are looking for a Mental Health Carers Advisor who possesses an understanding of the challenges of unpaid caring and whose experience of working within mental health services includes support, prevention, recovery, and self-management. Applicants should possess effective skills in communication and have experience of completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload and working in a busy work environment. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and to show initiative is essential for this role.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Safeguarding Team as our Senior Global Safeguarding Specialist reporting to the Global Safeguarding Director. This is a senior role in the team and will play a key part in managing and supervising safeguarding cases and investigations, as well as providing proactive support and guidance to Members and Country Programmes on a range of safeguarding topics. • Experience of report writing skills, including risk assessments and risk management report writing.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and protection principles and standards.
• Understanding and knowledge of applying a trauma survivor centred approach
• Experience of working with vulnerable groups such as young people and vulnerable communities.
• Knowledge of UK and globally relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance.

About the Role

As our creative, innovative and data led Legacy & In Memory Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering WaterAid’s legacy and in memory fundraising programme with the support of the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer. You will deliver multi-channel campaigns across TV, digital, direct mail, email and events to raise awareness of gifts in wills, generate legacy enquirers and create inspiring journeys to nurture and engage legacy and in memory supporters.

In this role, you will plan, manage and execute multi-channel campaigns across the marketing funnel, as well as work with the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer to deliver exceptional stewardship, through personal communications and events, to our committed supporters.

You’ll also: 

• Be responsible for using data, analysis and insight to innovate and maximise both existing campaigns and seek to test new audiences and channels that meet specific objectives within the LIM Team plans
• Undertake Project Management responsibilities required for the successful and timely delivery of multiple channel campaigns – including delivery of the award-winning legacy consideration campaign What Jack Gave across TV and digital
• Manage, coach and motivate the Legacy and In Memory Marketing Officer to deliver their campaigns.
• Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of campaigns 
• Operate a rigorous test to learn methodology, regularly monitoring, evaluating and analysing campaigns

Requirements

You’ll be passionate about using your experience in fundraising and marketing to make a difference by creating inspiring and supporter-led communications that effectively raises consideration for legacy giving and uncovers new legacy prospects and legacy pledgers.

• Proven experience in direct marketing – print and digital

A great opportunity has risen for a Prospect Research Manager to support our ambitious 5-year strategy, using your research and data skills to increase the size and quality of our high value pipeline of Trusts and Major Donor prospects.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will take ownership of the prospect research function, leading on the identification and qualification of prospects with a particular focus on high value (£50k+) prospects across Trusts + Foundations and Major Donors. You will work closely with fundraising teams and senior stakeholders to create insightful research profiles, conduct network mapping and due diligence reports, and align prospect research with key organisational fundraising priorities. Using our CRM system, you will use your data and analysis skills to create reports and track KPIs to monitor the strength and health of the prospect pipeline and fundraiser portfolios to drive income.

You will have excellent communication skills, and an ability to translate complex information from a range of sources into easily digestible reports and briefings. Able to work independently and as part of a team, you will take pride in producing high-quality and data-driven work. You will be a confident user of CRM and IT systems, with experience of analysing varied sources of data to grow prospect pipelines and a robust understanding of due diligence and data protection laws.

The Interim People Development Manager is a remote position with little need to attend their office in central London. The pro rata salary based on working 30 hours per week will be £42,400 + £2,400 London Weighting if you live in London or the home counties.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading and developing the Training & Learning team, delivering high-quality, customer-focused learning programmes including blended learning, onboarding, management development, and accredited training.
• Driving strategic learning initiatives by designing and implementing a training strategy, policies, and competency frameworks aligned with Refuge’s values and EDI principles.
• Collaborating across the organisation, providing expert coaching and guidance to managers, supporting local team development, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
• Overseeing learning systems, including the implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS), managing training requests, e-learning delivery, and robust evaluation and reporting.
• Ensuring all training complies with Refuge’s policies and safeguarding commitments, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
• Managing training budgets and partnerships effectively, contributing to organisational development and supporting the wider People & Culture team as needed.

· Demonstrable fundraising or marketing experience.

· Experience of delivering direct marketing campaigns, across mail, telemarketing and digital channels.

· Experience of monitoring budgets, targets and KPI’s.

· Knowledge of fundraising regulation including, telephone regulation, PCIDSS, UK Charity Law, Gambling Commission and Data Protection legislation and policy.

· Print and production knowledge.

· The ability to manage & allocate resources effectively to meet work plan objectives.

· The ability to work with and manage external service providers in a direct marketing context.

· Strong communication, interpersonal & organisational skills.

About You

This role would suit an experienced HR generalist with a collaborative approach, who enjoys working in a small, values-led team.

Essential experience and skills include:

• Proven experience in HR operations, ideally in a standalone or SME setting
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, including the Equality Act
• Ability to manage systems and use HR data to generate insight
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Skilled in process improvement and implementing best practice
