Role overview:

As a member of MTL’s senior management team, you will take responsibility for the organisation’s growth and outward facing initiatives. You will lead and manage the organisation’s portfolio of social mobility leadership strands, and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders. You will provide dynamic day-to-day leadership for the MTL’s directorate responsible for income generation, impact, research, communications and policy, and ensure the organisation continues to be an exemplar of innovation, integrity and collaboration. You will also be contributing to, implementing and monitoring delivery of the organisation’s strategic plan.

Our Generalist Advice Supervisors provide excellent on-the-day generalist advice supervision across our services.

You could supervise advice already, or be an experienced adviser looking for their next move. This role is perfect for a candidate who wants to deliver an immediate impact in their work and is enthusiastic about bringing people along with them. You'll maintain a consistently high quality of advice and helping clients by providing support, guidance and feedback on a day-to-day basis by:

• actively supporting the quality of generalist advice and pathfinding (triage) by guiding the team to information sources, checking that all aspects of a client's situation have been considered, checking that follow up work is progressed, that research and campaigns issues are identified and outcomes are recorded 
• actively supporting each team member to develop their skills and competences, by guiding, demonstrating, encouraging, suggesting, coaching, giving timely & constructive feedback and challenging appropriately 
• adapting the level of support to individual competence and taking account of the whole team’s needs.
• managing the practicalities of advice sessions by overseeing and managing all practical issues relating to the session

PRINCIPAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Supervision 

• Ensure that all advice given under your supervision conforms to Citizens Advice quality standards and with our systems and procedures. 

• Supervise advice teams in our main office, at outreach locations and on remote services (e.g. Adviceline) to ensure smooth running of services and client journeys. 

• Manage drop-in sessions at our main office and at external locations 

• Identify general training and support needs in paid and voluntary staff under your supervision and feed back into the organisation’s learning and development plan. 

• Provide timely feedback to paid and voluntary trainee advisers by observing client interviews and reviewing follow-up work 

Quality assurance and training 

• Working as part of our case review team, conduct case reviews to set rectification action for both paid and voluntary staff to ensure Citizens Advice quality standards are met. 

• Keep up to date with legislation, case law, policies and procedures, and disseminate updates to paid and voluntary staff through our communications channels. 

Research, campaigns and partnership building 

• Take part in the organisation’s responses to local research and campaign issues by supporting paid and voluntary staff to collect case studies and statistical data. 

• Contribute to developing partnerships with other organisations to support our advice work. 

Other duties and responsibilities 

• Carry out any other tasks that may be within the scope of the post to ensure the effective delivery and development of our service. 

• Be alert to funding opportunities and contribute to funding bids and proposals.

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

Essential 

• Ability to commit to and work within, the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service and the vision of Citizens Advice Kensington and Chelsea. 

• If not currently a supervisor, a minimum of two years’ experience and demonstrable ability of delivering good quality generalist advice.

• Experience of delivering advice across different channels (telephone, in-person, etc.).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working to specific income targets, the Supporter Engagement Manager is responsible for acquisition campaigns including regular giving, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, legacys;  retention campaigns including ongoing stewardship to increase supporter engagement. You will grow relationships with supporters and work closely with wider fundraisering team to devise and execute creative and effective stewardship journeys. You will have a sound understanding of fundraising membership schemes and sector regulations, with knowledge of best practice CRM and/or fundrasing database.

The Supporter Engagement Manager will work with the Senior Head of Supporter Engagement to develop the strategy for increasing income across all individual giving streams and then work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the wider team to impliment it. You will play an instrumental part in creatively engaging supporters to get involved in our high-value campaigns, events and regular giving programme. This includes our annual matched-funding campaign and reoccuring giving programmes, which last year raised £1m and £150k respectively. The post-holder will be key in taking the Individual Giving programme to the next level, providing proactive engagement opportunities and efficiently work with data to provide timely, targeted, relevant and engaging communications to our various supporters.

You will be a dedicated, organised and experienced in managing Individual Giving income streams, with proven expertise in stewardship and donor care, including the design and delivery of impactful supporter journeys. You will show creativity and determination to succeed. Senior Finance Manager

The Senior Finance Manager will join a small and dynamic team that covers Finance, Human Resources, IT and Business Operations. The Finance & Operations team play a critical role by running the day-to-day operations and providing the infrastructure that enables the continued delivery of the Trust’s mission and objectives.

Main duties

• Overseeing the Finance Officer’s work including sales ledger, purchase ledger and general processes and ensuring transactions are posted accurately and timely as well as supporting reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  Other duties as necessary from time to time 
• Overseeing month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and preparing trial balances and journal postings.
• Preparing year-end schedules and statutory accounts, working closely with the Director of Finance & Operations and external auditors. Liaising with external auditors and managing the audit process.
• Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance (e.g. Companies House, Charity Commission)
• Managing the finance system, including data integrity, user access and system upgrades. Supporting finance-related integrations with other systems, and ongoing system improvements/ automation.
• Supporting the Director of Finance & Operations to ensure there is an effective system of financial controls, e.g. feeding into policies, procedures and team-wide training, as required
• Line managing, motivating and proactively supporting the Finance Officer in their professional development
• Proactively updating your own knowledge in relation to the role, identifying and undertaking appropriate training

Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will join a small and dynamic team that covers Finance, Human Resources, IT and Business Operations. The second is supporting with outreach to local schools, colleges, community settings and professionals to identify and engage Young Carers. 

About The Role: 

You will work across two key age groups, 5–11 and 12–16, delivering and supervising activities, supporting events and trips, and providing behavioural management where needed. You will deliver awareness training sessions, run stalls and aim to identify and engage Young Carers in the community. You will also help ensure young Carers feel heard, included, and supported as they navigate the challenges of their caring roles. This is a sessional role, therefore hours are not guaranteed but will be offered based on project need.

The Opportunity

This role at WFN provides an exciting opportunity to lead on the development of our growing Winner Network Development (WND) programme, identified as one of the charity’s key areas for strategic growth and maximised impact over the coming years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing communicator who is passionate about conservation and can drive forward and create connections between our global network of over 220 conservationists, fostering knowledge exchange, capacity development and collaboration. As part of this programme the Grants and Network Manager (GNM) will help with delivery of annual thematic training workshops, with opportunity for international travel. The GNM will also assist our Head of Grants (HG) in monitoring our portfolio of active grants, with support from the Grants Assistant (GA). The GNM will also participate in the Whitley Awards application process by helping to screen the grant applications and supporting with due diligence. If you have a conservation background, and experience with capacity development programmes, proactively managing growing networks, and monitoring active grants, then this is the role for you.

GRANTS AND NETWORK MANAGER - PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Essential:

· MSc or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Conservation/ Zoology/ Environmental Science)

· Experience cultivating and managing networks of people, with a proven track record of successful engagement and network growth

· Requisite experience in managing a portfolio of active grants within the environmental NGO sector including ongoing monitoring and evaluation

· Past experience with capacity development initiatives and/or facilitating trainings and events, including organising logistics

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a business development plan that maximises income streams, supports improvements in patient care, and strengthens our partnerships across the healthcare system. You’ll support tenders and contract negotiations, fostering relationships that secure funding for key BSR initiatives whilst offering tailored customer service and account management to our partners.

You’ll manage a business development administrator, who will focus on delivering contractual obligations in a timely manner. You’ll coach and develop them to build confidence in account management and sales. This role requires a creative, impact-oriented leader who excels in both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Please note: This role may require travel, overnight stays and weekend work, for example at our conferences.

Main Responsibilties 

Business Development Strategy

• Alongside the COO, develop and execute a business development strategy for BSR that secures financially sustainable funding streams that support our drive to improve patient care
• Lead on market research, product development and product lifecycle management
• Support the Senior Management Team and Heads of Department to expand and improve our product portfolios to keep partners engaged in supporting our diverse membership

Relationship building and management

• Lead relationship management with sponsors, partners and collaborators to provide exceptional and consistent account management
• Liaise with and support internal teams with delivery to sponsors, partners and collaborators
• Enable internal sharing of insight and intelligence about trends and movements with industry partners
• Foster new strategic partnerships and relationships with UK and international organisations
• Open up new funding opportunities that support BSR’s strategic aims and activities

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and develop the Business Development Executive
• Support teams across the business to meet ambitious financial targets
• With the COO and Director of Marketing, Education and Events, manage our compliance with the ABPI pharmaceutical industry code and provide regular advice/training for colleagues
• Alongside the COO, provide support to colleagues on tender and contract processes

Finances and Impact

• Oversee BSR income streams, working closely with the finance team to ensure efficient financial process and cash flow
• Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring financial trackers are up to date
• Analyse data to ensure the business development strategy is effective, ambitious and realistic

Role Purpose:

The Circle is an alternative to A&E for young people and children who are finding it hard to cope with their mental health, when medical intervention might not be necessary. We provide one-off in the moment support, and we are open every day of the year with no waiting list.

Mental health advisors are part of the core team, supporting children and young people aged 5-18 and their families every day. You are expected to work within HFEH Mind’s policies and procedures, and adhere to our code of conduct/values.

This role will suit those that have worked with vulnerable children in the past, including, but not limited to, support workers, CAMHS workers and mental health workers. We work within a diverse borough, and look to reflect this in our team.

Job Summary:

The mental health advisor role is a key part of the delivery of the Circle, working on the frontline to support young people and their families who are finding it hard to cope. They will conduct hour long, one-off sessions with children and young people aged 5-18, providing: safety planning, coping mechanisms, psychoeducation, and signposting, and supporting in de-escalation. This will be delivered with a non-judgemental and empathetic approach.

As a mental health advisor, you will need to be ready to respond in the moment to presenting (often unknown) concerns. You will have to dynamically risk assess situations, and be confident in raising concerns when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

• Work as part of a team to provide support to service users and their families.
• Work within the Circle framework, and follow all HFEH Mind’s policies and procedures.
• Develop an understanding of the local area, and other services, to effectively signpost to.

Essential

• A minimum of two years’ experience supporting vulnerable children and/or young people in a paid or voluntary capacity, or equivalent.

At the heart of Camden’s mission to end rough sleeping, the Gray's Inn Road project offers short-stay accommodation for 16 individuals experiencing some of the most challenging periods in their lives. Funded by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, and delivered in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden Council, this service plays a pivotal role in ensuring rough sleeping in Camden is not only rare but brief and not repeated. Residents typically stay between three to six months, during which time the focus is on creating pathways into safe, sustainable housing and renewed independence.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering trauma-informed, psychologically informed support. You’ll work closely with clients facing overlapping challenges including homelessness, poor physical and mental health, substance use, trauma and histories with the criminal justice system. With your own caseload, you’ll conduct in-depth assessments, build tailored support plans and facilitate interventions that reflect the needs, strengths and aspirations of each person. Every day brings new opportunities to connect people with education, training or employment, to help them rebuild practical life skills, and to foster progress towards long-term goals.
