London Support Programme - Prison Caseworker

Location: This programme is currently delivered at HMP Downview and HMP High Down. Future delivery is anticipated at HMP Standford Hill, HMP Ford, and/or HMP Coldingley. Administrative tasks may be carried out remotely from home, or from our London office, near Vauxhall.

Contract: 12 months, with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter, subject to funding availability

Hours: Part time, 28 hours over 4 days

Role summary

The London Support Programme (LSP) is a pilot service delivered by the Hardman Trust, providing pre- and post-release support to people on long sentences who are returning to London. This first year of delivery has enabled us to begin offering support, and we are now refining the programme for its next stage.

We are recruiting two part-time, Prison Caseworkers to deliver frontline support, ensuring that people serving long sentences continue to receive consistent, personalised help in preparing for release and rebuilding their lives.

As a Prison Caseworker, you will provide one-to-one, person-centred support focused on wellbeing, confidence-building, and preparation for life after release.
You will support people to set meaningful goals, connect with services, and problem-solve challenges along the way.

The role involves building trusting relationships, promoting the programme across the prison, keeping accurate records, and contributing to the continued development of this pilot into a sustainable, long-term service.

You will be managed and supported by the Head of Service Delivery.

Core responsibilities

• One-to-one support delivery – Provide tailored support to people in prison signed up to the LSP, including initial support planning, goal-setting, problem-solving and referrals to both internal (e.g. Grants, Research Volunteers, Penfriends) and external services.

• Remote support – Provide light-touch support to LSP participants released from prison, during their initial weeks of resettlement, using telephone/video calls, and email to check in, offer guidance, and help address early challenges.

• Service promotion – Actively promote the LSP within pilot and potential partner prisons to increase sign-ups and engagement.

• Administration – Keep accurate, timely records of support activities and outcomes using Salesforce and NOMIS systems.

• Service development – Support the Head of Service Delivery by contributing learning and feedback from frontline delivery, to inform the ongoing refinement of the programme model and resources.

• Collaboration & team contribution - Work closely with colleagues to promote products and services, gather and analyse user feedback, and ensure continuous improvement. Contribute to organisational reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.

Essential:

We are seeking a new Finance and Administration Officer following the retirement of a long-serving team member. A key member of the SLA central office team, the Finance and Administration Officer plays a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations and providing essential administrative support for our membership. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, book-keeping and effective day-to-day financial operations, producing financial reports using our CRM (IMIS) and XERO, in addition to administration support.

You will be experienced in financial and administration operations of a charity or similar , with an AAT qualification or matching worked experience. Familiarity with XERO will be an advantage. You will be able to bring understanding of cashflow and financial analysis of figure, working with accountants as required.

You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders from our members, to funders to suppliers. You will be determined and have an excellent eye for financial and administrative detail. Your duties will include general administration and:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records of all SLA accounts and petty cash; book-keeping

Our client is one of the largest women's hostels in the UK for vulnerable women affected by homelessness. They offer support to women with a range of complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health issues and domestic violence, and provide these support services in a warm, welcoming and secure environment. They are now recruiting for a strong and supportive manager to help lead their Support Services. This role is initially a 6 month fixed term contract and will be on-site working (one day from home).

As Support Services Manager, you will line manage a team of frontline staff and will oversee the Support and Night services, consisting of 30 bed spaces for women with high support complex needs; the service aims to offer holistic support to these women, working alongside a range of partner organisations to facilitate a step-down move-on for women into semi-independent living. You will work to create and maintain key partnerships, continually ensuring that a high quality of service is delivered to all service users of the Project.

To be considered for this position, you must have significant housing management experience, as well as extensive knowledge and appreciation of the challenges faced by homeless women. You must have demonstrable experience of leading frontline staff, as well as significant safeguarding experience. You will also have proven working experience of contract monitoring and of setting and influencing strategy. Ultimately you will be enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated to leading a team to deliver the best quality of support to vulnerable homeless women.

The Internal Communications Manager will collaborate with the Head of Internal Communications to develop and implement communication plans that effectively reach both staff and freelancers, ensuring organisation-wide dissemination and alignment with the Internal Communications strategy.

This role will manage and produce content for the National Theatre’s internal communication channels, including the intranet, staff newsletters, and internal emails, and will leverage insights from analytics and research to identify communication challenges, enhancing the team's ability to improve messaging, listening, and engagement across the organisation. This will also include a collection of events.

This position is vital in fostering a positive, inclusive culture that connects all departments. The Internal Communications Manager will facilitate authentic, values-driven dialogue across the National Theatre, actively enhancing employee engagement and bringing our purpose to life.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Demonstrable strategic internal communications experience

• Demonstrable experience in planning, scripting and delivering events

• Strong communications planning skills

• Experience of delivering information in a clear and concise/attractive manner

• Good writing, proofreading, and editing skills

About the role

• Provide outreach and in reach support to people affected by substance use across Tower Hamlets, including those who may have a history of rough sleeping, be vulnerably housed, or otherwise disconnected from mainstream services.
• Carry out person-centred assessments and work collaboratively with service users to develop support and recovery plans.
• Make timely and appropriate referrals to specialist services (e.g. treatment, health, housing, and social care) to ensure holistic support.
• Develop strong working relationships with partner agencies to coordinate joint support and reduce barriers to engagement.
• Promote harm reduction, recovery-focused approaches, and ensure that people are empowered in their choices.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Reset service.

The role/ responsibilities:

The Head of Supporter Engagement will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing relationships with both existing and prospective supporters of Noah’s Ark. You will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding supporter experience—one that makes individuals feel valued, engaged, and fully informed about the impact of their donations.
This role involves developing and implementing effective strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship, while leading multi-channel communications that connect supporters with the cause. You’ll have the autonomy to innovate and bring creative flair to engagement programmes, guided by data, donor insight, and sector best practice.
You will be a dynamic, adaptable, and highly organised professional, committed to playing a key role in driving income growth. A strong communicator and proven leader, you lead by example and bring a hands-on approach to team management. With significant experience in people and programme management within Public Fundraising, you will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding results.

• Foster a supportive, cohesive, and aspirational team culture, motivating staff to meet and exceed targets while recognising their contributions to the charity’s overall objectives and strategy.
• Effectively recruit, train, and line-manage team members, setting clear objectives and supporting their development through regular supervision, annual appraisals, and adherence to charity policies and best practices.
• Develop a comprehensive supporter stewardship strategy, supported by systematic processes, to engage existing individual givers and fundraisers—as well as new supporters—fostering long-term commitment and regular support for the charity.

About you:

• Experience of developing supporter engagement opportunities and stewardship journeys for tens of thousands of supporters at least
• Experience of running an Community Giving, Individual Giving programme, incorporating Legacy Giving, raising at least £0.5m per annum
• Experience of managing a team to deliver exceptional results
• Successful experience of leading direct fundraising marketing campaigns across a range of channels including direct mail, email, social media and telephone
• Experience of highly successful relationship building with a portfolio of supporters, including through face-to-face meetings and telephone conversations
