Monitoring & Impact Officer
Family Rights Group is seeking a skilled Monitoring & Impact Officer to lead on monitoring, evaluation and impact work supporting the national scale-up of our Family Group Conference (FGC) and Lifelong Links programme, as well as other aspects of the charity’s core programmes and services.
This appointment comes at an exciting time for the charity, as we have recently secured a significant investment to scale up delivery of Lifelong Links across the country over the next 18 months. This enables us to strengthen our core programme team for Lifelong Links, and also Family Group Conferences, while we continue to attract new funding and national (as well as international) interest in the methods and outcomes of both.
As FGCs and Lifelong Links expand to new local authorities across the country, you will support consistent, comparable reporting from each area, find creative and accessible ways to gather data and evidence from stakeholders. You will use your findings to help the organisation track progress, report on and demonstrate impact, and continuously improve practice as the programme grows. You will be key in ensuring that the charity is able to report according to the timescales required by funders.
The role will suit someone with strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills and an interest in child welfare research and policy developments. You will have a talent for capturing the appropriate detail from monitoring and evaluation work, and presenting it in accessible, useful and above all impactful formats for practitioners, local authorities and funders including government.
In addition, you will help the charity’s Advice & Advocacy Service, as well as young people and family participation structures, in the impactful visualisation of data and stories.
Family Rights Group’s vision is a society in which children can thrive in their families, and have loving relationships to turn to throughout life.
We are the leading specialist child welfare charity working to make that a reality. We are unique in bringing together legal and social work expertise, advice giving, and policy and campaigning, with the direct voice and insights of young people and families.
Founded in 1974, our work combines commitment to human rights and social justice with expertise in child welfare law, policy and practice.
This role will lead on monitoring, evaluation and impact activity across Family Rights Group's Family Group Conference (FGC) and Lifelong Links programme, reporting on programme outputs, analysing data and evidence, and using findings to improve practice, processes and guidance.
They will also support monitoring and impact across the charity’s five strategic goals, including our advice and advocacy service, and family participation work.
