We are excited to announce a new position within our Philanthropy, Engagement and Partnerships (PEP) team. The role of the Fundraising Officer is to support the development of effective relationships with donors, contributing to ongoing revenue generation for the College.

The role is key front-line fundrasing role and will involve identifying, and delivering new donors, as well as furthering a portfolio of current and past donor relations to secure funding for UWC Atlantic College. You will manage a portfolio of prospects and donors across alumni, parents, and other individuals to cultivate, solicit, and steward financial contributions.

You will hold key relationships with Alumni, parents, external and internal stakeholders, colleagues, and students. The role will also involve collaborating with various colleagues to plan and execute a program of donor-related events.

You will provide strategic contribution which supports UWC Atlantic’s strategies to acheive fundraising goals.

The opportunity is available to be based at UWC Atlantic, St Donats or Hybrid working from the UWC International Officer, 55 New Oxford Street and from home.

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion for what we do as an organisation, and particularly in supporting those who have faced homelessness and may have other complex needs. Our residents needs are at the forefront of service delivery, so someone who can build trusting professional relationships is key. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, putting their needs first for the team to be able to deliver support to their needs. What are we looking for:

Job Purpose

The Partnership Coordinator role is varied, offering the chance to develop a wide range of skills. Key Responsibilities

Programme and Network Delivery:

- Support the planning and delivery of programmes and networks, including scheduling dates, organising training sessions, and other activities.

Recruitment and Retention:

- Support year-round recruitment of schools to the Network of Excellence, working with hubs to deliver introductory events.

- Manage leads within your hubs, connecting schools with local hubs and Jubilee Networks.

As an Impact Analyst you will work within a team of skilled analysts. A key programme you will become an integral part of delivering will be a community based, preventative emotional resilience and wellbeing pilot called Turning Tides

Turning Tides is a two-year pilot programme testing innovative means of protecting and promoting the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable young people along the North Yorkshire Coast. The programme leverages local organisations and their expertise, providing each young person a dedicated coach who works to identify a participant's strengths and ambitions – and takes a community-based asset development approach to match those goals with opportunities in the local area.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include.

· Overseeing all data related aspects of the programme including data collection, extraction, cleaning, analysis, reporting, and presentation.

· Gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative data to measure the impact of service innovations for the programmes you are working across. Produce regular reports and insights that aid decision making to continuously improve programme design.

· Taking initiative to propose and implement relevant analyses to the project to maximise positive impact for participants with the programmes you are supporting.

· Building relationships and working at times directly with Delivery Partners (VCSE organisations who are delivering the frontline services for the programme) to ensure they are able to use the data systems accurately and effectively,

· Identifying opportunities for process automation and improving utilisation of management data by colleagues across the programme.

· Supporting the Programme Lead on all operational and project management needs, including coordination of team activities and providing other administrative support.

· Working with the Investment Lead and colleagues in Finance, to ensure invoices for outcomes achieved by participants within programmes are processed.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the Lab’s operational heart; from finance and governance to people, culture, IT and compliance. We are looking to recruit an experienced Money Advice Caseworker to supervise our money advice team and assist clients with complex debt problems and income maximisation.

The role includes to:

• Assist in providing and developing a high quality money advice service
• Undertake specialist level money advice casework
• Provide the line management and technical supervision of project staff and volunteers

 To be successful you will need:

• Experience of providing support and supervision to colleagues to aid their development and meet quality standards
• Two years recent experience as a money advice caseworker in a target driven environment
• Hold an accredited qualification in debt advice
• A commitment and understanding of the Service’s aims, principles and equal opportunities policies

The Finance Assistant will support the Senior Finance Manager and Finance and Operations Director. They will be responsible for all aspects of sale, purchase and nominal ledger, credit control, payments and various reconciliations. General management account duties will also be required

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the shared inbox and respond to queries to internal and external contacts in a timely and courteous manner.
• Log purchase invoices into the finance system and request authorisation from budget holders, ensuring that documentation is complete and correct.
• Issue all sales invoices and maintain funders invoicing schedule.
• Request and reconcile supplier statements.
• Ensure finance policies are followed for the set-up of new customers and suppliers.
• Support internal team with expense reimbursements, including maintaining the expenses software and relevant reconciliations. Follow up on missing documentation or evidence of non-compliance.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and issue remittance advices.
• Issue statements to customers and regular credit control activities.
• Check ledgers for missing costs. Identify and resolve missing costs or discrepancies in ledgers.
• Complete reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated and accounted for correctly.
• Reconciliations between the Salesforce and accounting system Assist with month-end and other management accounts functions.
• Support the finance team with other ad-hoc tasks, such as posting journals, payroll and annual audit.

Spark Inside runs coaching programmes in prisons across London and the South East, to encourage rehabilitation and reduce reoffending. 

We are one of the first organisations to take life coaching to people living and working in prison and to use systems coaching to bring together staff and prisoners in UK prisons. Our expert coaches are qualified and trained professionals. In addition to developing and delivering innovative coaching programmes, we are also committed to working with parliamentarians and government officials to influence criminal justice policy, and shift the perception of people in prison, platforming their voices and highlighting their unlocked potential.

To achieve our ambitious strategy, Spark Inside is seeking a Communications Manager to help raise the charity’s public profile, build influence with policymakers, attract funders and commissioners, and ensure the lived experience of young people in the justice system shapes our messaging, campaigns and strategy.

You will work with the Head of Communications and Advocacy to deliver a programme of compelling external communications activities through digital, print, press and events in order to increase Spark Inside’s visibility and ensure our key messages are wide-reaching and impactful.

You will report to the Head of Communications & Advocacy and work closely alongside our Participation and Engagement Manager and Policy Lead, with line management responsibility for a part-time Communications Officer. You will also work with a range of external freelancers on design, film and print. You will build and maintain good relationships with colleagues across the whole Spark Inside team, offering support and advice as well as drawing on their expertise and insights to make our communications impactful and engaging.

While target-driven, you will have a supportive style and work in a highly collaborative way with colleagues across the organisation.
