We are seeking a professional and proactive individual to join University of the Built Environment at a pivotal and exciting time. As the Deputy University Secretary, you will provide professional expertise and advice to the Deputy Vice Chancellor and University Secretary across a range of areas, including academic and corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance, data protection, and risk management.

You will be an integral part of the University, working closely with teams across departments and fostering high-performing relationships whilst ensuring that governance structures and processes operate in a streamlined and consistent manner.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:

• Support and advise the Deputy Vice Chancellor and University Secretary in the development and delivery of highly effective academic and corporate governance
• Ensure that the policy framework within which the University works is fit-for-purpose, current and complete, and satisfies government policy and regulatory requirements
• Oversee Graduation, particularly relating to the format of the ceremony, speakers and VIPS, liaising with Academic Registry and Marketing
• Work with the Deputy Vice Chancellor and University Secretary in the planning and delivery of strategic priorities, offering confidential advice and project management to aid decision making and support project implementation

Our main requirements:

• Degree level and/or professional qualification
• A track record of effective strategic planning, risk management, and project delivery
• Experience in a similar role
• Delivering changes to governance arrangements, working with stakeholders to deliver a required outcome
• Sound understanding of the legal and regulatory context for higher education and the policy environment relevant to the University

The Employer Engagement Manager will be central to the success of this project. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, they will lead on employer engagement and job brokerage for Smart Works. They will act as a primary contact for the GLA, ensuring effective partnership working and the delivery of ambitious outcomes for both clients and employers.

Role Purpose

Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. The Events & Enterprises Assistant will be expected to work within the diverse and inclusive ethos of Southwark Cathedral. They should be able to be flexible and creative in maximising the opportunities for commercial income alongside the worshipping and community life of the Cathedral. The post-holder will also be expected to work closely with staff and volunteers from all areas of Cathedral life.

Role Overview

The Events & Enterprises Assistant is an exciting role offering both administrative and practical support to the Cathedral and its trading company Southwark Cathedral Enterprises Limited (SCEL). The post-holder will provide key administrative support to the COO, who is Company Secretary of SCEL, as well as giving broad practical support to the Head of Events to help deliver the special events and commercial meeting-room business.

The post-holder will provide support to the Head of Events in the delivery of a colourful programme of special events in the Cathedral space. Each year we hold a number of private parties, dinners and fundraising events as well as concerts, memorial events and carol services. The Head of Events holds the responsibility for converting special event enquiries into confirmed visits, relationship management and this post will share event management ‘on the day’, to ensure the smooth and safe delivery of often complex largescale events. Most often working one year ahead of the event, the post-holder will provide administrative and operational support for preparations and the delivery of the events by completion of operational notes, RAMS or similar.

Additionally, the Events & Enterprises Assistant will be responsible for the effective day- to-day management of commercial bookings for the Cathedral’s meeting rooms. Our conference business, comprising three main meeting rooms of varying sizes, has a wide client base drawn from the commercial, government, charity and national health sectors and many of the bookings are repeat business. The meeting rooms have an excellent reputation and are popular with clients and for managing the clients’ experience from initial enquiry to final invoice. The post-holder will provide a welcome to clients on arrival, 3 ensuring that their room, IT and catering specifications have been met and manage their requirements during their stay.

They will also work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager on communications campaigns which are relevant to the Cathedral’s conference and special events business activity.

The post-holder will support the work of the Board of Enterprises by organising the annual schedule of Board meetings – booking meeting rooms, setting up technology and refreshments on the day, attending and minuting meetings and acting as a point of contact for members of the Board. They will also support the Cathedral’s COO in their role as Company Secretary of SCEL - assisting them with correspondence, meeting arrangements, collation of papers and drafting reports for meetings and liaising where necessary with the finance team.

• Accompanying learners into the community to take part in social and recreational activities such as bowling, cinema trips, and dining out, helping them build confidence and enjoy meaningful experiences beyond the college setting.

At HCT, we’re showing how lived experience can transform public health. With almost 500 staff and volunteers working across every NHS area and prison in England — and in parts of Scotland and Wales — we connect some of the most marginalised communities to the services that too often miss them.

We’re now seeking a Research & Impact Manager to lead a programme that places inclusion, impact and lived experience at the heart of research. You’ll shape and deliver studies that improve understanding, influence local and national policy, and demonstrate how peer-led approaches can achieve real health equity.

About the role

As Research & Impact Manager, you’ll take day-to-day leadership of our research and evaluation programmes. 

You’ll manage and develop our incredible team of peer researchers, supervise our Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate with the University of Essex, and build partnerships across academia, government, the NHS, and the voluntary sector. 

You’ll also design and deliver evaluations of our programmes, help evidence how lived experience-led services can improve equity in health and care, and support funding bids and grant applications, and the dissemination of impactful research.

About you

You’ll bring both strategic insight and hands-on research skills, ideally with a strong qualitative background. You’ll be comfortable working across academic, policy, and lived experience settings — and you’ll share our deep commitment to social justice and inclusion health.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about peer research and the power of lived experience
• Skilled in designing and delivering research and evaluation projects
• Collaborative and relationship-focused, with experience across academia, the NHS or the voluntary sector
• Able to mentor and empower others, including peer researchers and research colleagues
• A clear communicator who can translate research into impact

As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll also act as the Deputy Director, contributing to operational management, strategic development and stepping in for the Executive Director as needed. You’ll have line management responsibilities for members of the team. As well, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering impactful communications strategies that drive member engagement, promote AMOSSHE’s events and initiatives, and elevate the organisation’s profile.

Contract type: Permanent, full time (37 hours a week).

Location: Hybrid. Two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) in the office, central London. This is a requirement of the role.

Salary range: £45,000 to £50,000, with an expected starting salary between £45,000 and £47,000, depending on experience.

The Role

The role is ideal for someone with strong ER and policy writing experience and good knowledge and understanding of UK employment legislation, key HR legislation and HR systems to appropriately advise and lead on ER cases. Ideally you would need to be CIPD part qualified or studying towards a qualification.

We are looking for an organised, resilient and dependable individual who has proven ability to work within a small team, as well as under their own initiative, and who can communicate effectively across the organisation both in written and oral form. 

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen, discuss, negotiate and provide advice on difficult, complex or sensitive issues is essential.

What will I be doing?

• First point of contact on IOP’s ER issues and responses, replying to queries in a timely manner
• Taking the lead on IOP HR policies, assessing and updating them on an ongoing basis in line with employment law changes
• Soley managing employee relations’ activities, ensuring that outcomes are proportionate, reasonable, timely and in line with legislation and the Institute’s policies
• Guiding, advising and assisting management and senior management through employee relations processes
• Providing people management advice and support to line managers, to enable them to fully undertake their people management role and ensure they are fully aware of the risks / implications associated with their decisions

Who will I work with?

• Internally, the role works across all departments as well as IOP Publishing HR and Finance
• Externally, the role works with employment lawyers, occupational health providers and EDI professionals

Ideally, your skills include:

Essential Criteria

• A sound knowledge of employment legislation and its application
• Strong sense of professional boundaries and the importance of confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen, discuss, negotiate and provide advice on difficult, complex or sensitive issues
• Experience working in a busy and varied role in a fast-paced environment, autonomously
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
• Absolute attention to detail
• HR qualification

Desirable

• Level 5 CIPD qualification (or working towards it)
• Experience using HR systems, ideally iTrent (Electric Theme)

Focused on Portuguese and Spanish-speaking migrant workers in low-paid sectors, this three-year, donor-funded role is central to UVW’s mission. You will advise, represent and organise workers to build collective power through strikes, direct actions and negotiation — to transform their workplace conditions from the ground up. 

• Essential: Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese. 
• Highly Desirable: Previous experience in trade union or community organising.

Muslim Aid is a UK faith-based international development organisation that provides support to communities around the world affected by disasters, conflict, or endemic poverty without regard to their social, religious, or ethnic background. 

Established in 1985, Muslim Aid has facilitated the engagement of the British Muslim and non-Muslim community in support of its work in a variety of ways. Summary of the role:

The Campaigns Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of MAUK’s campaigns. By effectively bringing all campaign stakeholders together and ensuring campaigns are delivered to budget and in a timely manner the role is responsible for assisting with strategic planning, reviewing and development of MAUK’s campaign diary.

About the Role:

1. Coordinate the design, scheduling, and delivery of integrated campaigns across email, SMS, and digital channels.
2. Coordinate campaign timelines, approvals, and delivery across teams to ensure smooth execution.
3. Assist in developing audience segmentation and targeting strategies to maximize engagement and impact.
4. Develop comprehensive email and SMS engagement approaches that tie into broader supporter engagement strategies with tailored and segmented email campaigns.
5. Develop email journeys and/or triggered emails for multiple initiatives, monitoring performance and making the required adjustments where necessary.
6. Collaborate with creative and branding suppliers to develop campaign visuals, assets, and idents that reflect the organisation’s identity and resonate with target audiences.

About You:

You must currently hold the right to work in the UK. Muslim Aid is not offering sponsorship for this role.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Experience coordinating marketing or fundraising campaigns across multiple channels.
2. Proven experience building, testing, and delivering email and SMS campaigns using marketing automation platforms.
3. Understanding of campaign planning, supporter journeys, and audience segmentation.
4. Strong project management and organisational skills; able to manage multiple deadlines.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and proof campaign copy.
6. Strong measurement, analytical, systematic thinking, planning and organisational skills.
