We are seeking a Trusts Fundraising Officer to join our ambitious trusts and foundations team, supporting delivery of the trusts fundraising plan and maximising grant income. The successful candidate will contribute to developing compelling proposals to secure funding, provide excellent stewardship of donors to build long term relationships, and research new trust prospects.

Proven experience of successful trusts fundraising is essential, and the candidate will need to be proactive, naturally well organised, with the ability to craft powerful cases for support. An understanding of fundraising from trusts for medical research causes is desirable.

You will support the Head of Trusts Fundraising in maximising income from charitable trusts and foundations to meet and exceed financial targets; identifying new trusts and increasing the number and value of gifts.

Main tasks and Responsibilities

1. To support the Head of Trusts Fundraising in implementing the three-year strategic plan for Trust Fundraising, and in delivering an effective annual plan and budget that will enable Action Medical Research to maximise income from charitable trusts and foundations.

2. To develop and manage excellent relationships with existing and potential donors, particularly small and medium trusts.

3. To liaise with the Research department to identify appropriate projects to present to potential donors and to manage and report on restricted donations for specific medical research projects

4. To regularly research and monitor new target trusts building a strong pipeline of prospects.

5. To develop and write compelling and persuasive proposals to present to prospects and donors.

6. To ensure that trusts that have made restricted donations are kept appropriately informed of progress against the research work which they are funding and, in the longer term, of the impact that their support has achieved.

7. To manage allocated charity partnerships where co-funding medical research, agreeing trusts which may be individually or jointly approached, raising invoices and reporting at agreed intervals.

8. To ensure continuing dialogue with trusts which have the potential to support our work in the future.

9. To ensure that Raisers Edge and the grant link schedule are kept up to date.

10.  To work with Supporter Care to ensure timely notice of donations to enable the Trusts team to give speedy appreciation of support.

11.  To work with colleagues across the charity, and other external stakeholders, to advocate for trust fundraising, identify opportunities and support colleagues in overlapping fundraising objectives.

12.  Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Action Medical Research, the principles governing the funding of research and the projects being funded.

13.  Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the trust marketplace and competitive influences on it.

14.  Keep the Head of Trusts Fundraising fully informed of activities at all times and work closely with the Trusts Fundraising Officer.

• Develop and maintain robust and accurate data systems and monitoring processes, ensuring compliant archiving to support data integrity.

Essential Qualifications and Skills 

• Demonstrable experience in data analysis within the charity, public health, or social care sectors (comparable private sector experience will also be considered).

About SCEC

SCEC was founded over twenty years ago to provide learning enrichment opportunities to primary school children in disadvantaged communities in south London. Together with our partners, several leading independent schools, we currently operate four schemes in math, literacy, science and art. The Scheme Director is a newly created role that will be pivotal in helping SCEC extend its reach. Summary job description

As the Director of Programme Performance, you will be pivotal in leading a team responsible for the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems. Your leadership will be critical in developing performance indicators and data pipelines that inform organisational and programmatic key results, guide data-driven decision-making, and deliver meaningful impact assessments.

The Director of Programme Performance will ensure the effective development of culturally relevant, community-centric performance indicators and alignment with donor requirements. • Carry out focused desk-based research using school and trust data (GIAS, DfE, FSM/IMD, MAT structures, regional insight) to help us decide where to focus our time and energy.

The Journey and Cross Sell team sits within the Content and Conversion team in the Marketing and Communications capability. The main focus of the Journey and Cross-sell manager will be:

· Developing engaging email and multi-channel journeys to help people hear better now, protect the nation’s hearing and change public attitudes towards deaf people

· Identifying key opportunities to connect new and existing donor audiences with our work to transform society, systems and the lives of individuals, one by one

· Connecting our different audiences with the most appropriate next engagement with RNID so that we can continue and deepen our relationship with them

You will be responsible for improving and iterating on existing supporter journeys, and developing new supporter journeys, setting priorities and contributing to cross-sell strategy, measuring performance effectively every step of the way.

You will: 

· Build, design and deliver supporter journeys on Microsoft Dynamics that engage audiences and encourage them to take actions, such as donating, campaigning or looking after their hearing health 

· Work closely with colleagues in Marcomms, Insight and Policy and Fundraising to develop supporter journeys tailored to different audiences

The opportunity

We are recruiting two part-time Project Officers to support the Together for Tomorrow Project, a five-year National Lottery-funded programme supporting grassroots climate action across Devon. Working in close partnership with Libraries Unlimited, you will support delivery to new and established grassroots groups who are working, or seek to work, with libraries, helping communities to develop practical climate initiatives and inspiring libraries to become active sustainability hubs.

You will support the creation of toolkits, training and new activities, while also supporting monitoring and reporting. The role blends hands-on delivery and behind the scenes support to groups.

This role sits within the CAG (Community Action Groups) Devon team, a network that supports community groups to take action on reuse, repair, food waste, composting, biodiversity and wider sustainability issues. CAG provides the tools and support that groups need to thrive, including training, resources, and opportunities to connect with others. Your role will contribute to the consolidation of the network and its membership across Devon. 

The role can be worked flexibly across 3 days a week. This will include some work during evenings and weekends.

You will be expected to travel widely across Devon, and this will be reimbursed. Whilst we promote public transport where possible, due to the rural nature of the county a current full driving licence with own transport, and necessary business use insurance, or ability to travel easily around Devon County is required.

What you will be doing 

Day to day project support 

· Helping groups run initiatives and activities at libraries, and at other community spaces, supporting with event planning and engaging diverse audiences.

· Supporting groups to set up and get started, or to develop new activities. 

· Responding to enquiries from CAG groups and other organisations. 

· Co-ordinating training and events.

· Attending CAG events and planning meetings.

· Building and maintaining partnerships with grassroots groups, libraries and underrepresented communities. 

· Assisting with group and event risk assessments, insurance documents, safeguarding policies and other related administration. 

· Creation and dissemination of guides and resources to support the projects. 

Publicity and communications 

· Generating content and building online audiences for social media and CAG Devon’s regular newsletter.

· Assisting groups with effective publicity for their events, including 1-2-1 social media clinics. 

· Producing publicity material, news releases, stories/case studies and articles relating to the Together for Tomorrow Project. 

· Speaking in public about the Together for Tomorrow Project, CAG Devon and the work of its members.

· Working with the CAG team to promote and deliver events.

· Liaising with the wider CAG team to ensure a coherent CAG support offer to grassroots community groups across Devon.

· Working with the Library Unlimited Outreach Officers to promote events.

Administration

· Liaising with and supporting groups, and gathering documentation, as part of the membership joining process. 

· Logging communications with groups and partners in the CAG database. 

· Keeping mailing lists and database up to date.

· Monitoring projects, utilising tools such as Excel, SurveyMonkey and the CAG data collection tool.

· Supporting with quarterly and annual reporting. 

· Assisting the project team with any other administrative tasks that they require. 

· Supporting groups to use the CAG data collection tool, to help them demonstrate their impact.

· Collecting data and testimonials/stories from CAG groups and the general public.

The essentials

· Passion for the community/voluntary sector. 

· Experience of setting up and delivering new initiatives and activities with community groups and volunteers. 

· Experience of social media. 

· Competent IT user, particularly Microsoft packages and web. 

· Previous experience in a role in communications and/or public engagement.
