How Will You Make a Difference? 

Amna is seeking a compassionate and experienced Arabic speaking facilitator to join Amna’s team of trainers, with therapeutic/clinical background. As a Trainer & Facilitator your responsibilities will involve delivering training sessions and group facilitation to support and create learning spaces for training participants on themes centred around trauma and identity informed psychosocial healing care with displaced communities. The role holder is expected to work on multiple responses, and will lead Amna’s Gaza and Syria responses, while working closely with Arabic speaking team members.  

Amna’s identity and trauma informed approach is centred around community healing practices with communities that aim to restore participants sense of safety, belonging, agency and joy. Amna services are co-created with the communities being worked with and we prioritise refugee participation and leadership in service design and delivery wherever possible. 

The role holders need to have experience working with communities affected by adversity, including displacement, war and conflict, poverty, abuse or marginalisation. Given the nature of Amna’s work in emergency settings with displaced communities, applicants need to be comfortable working in environments where there is uncertainty, change and exposure to distress.  

Specifically, successful candidates will have a strong experience in following areas: 

1. Work with children and families in an emergency context; 

1. Therapeutic experience – Individual and Groups; 

1. Community work experience; 

1. Designing and delivering trainings across different context; 

Amna will train role holders in Amna’s training and facilitation approach.

Responsibilities include: 

• To deliver high quality, interactive trainings in person and online.   

• To lead on Amna’s Gaza and Syria responses, working closely with a diverse, cross-cultural team and partners.  

• To develop Amna’s training materials including engaging content, structure, visuals and activities.

  Qualifications and Experience:  

• Minimum three years of experience working therapeutically with communities affected by adversities. 

• Minimum three years of experience delivering therapeutically informed community programmes in emergency or acute contexts using creative tools. 

• Experience working in a therapeutically informed way, e.g. working with sensitivity to the needs and experiences of the communities worked with.   

• Comfortable working in English – spoken and written.  

• Comfortable in designing and delivering content in Arabic.

• Confident computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.  

• Able and willing to travel for work (if you have travel restrictions to some countries, please notify us in your application).

• Right to work in the country of residency.  

Desirable: 

• Life or work experience with refugee or/and displaced communities.

Position: S11266 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (travel will include team meetings or other work-related meetings).

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week

Salary: Circa £21,948 per annum (FTE circa £27,435 per annum)

Contract: Services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until 31 March 2026.

As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.

JOB PURPOSE:
 

• To coordinate support for children aged 2-5 with SEND at Springfield Park Road Nursery or Mini-Springers Nursery, working alongside nursery staff, parents and outside agencies to ensure the nursery provides high quality inclusive EYFS provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice and EYFS Framework.

·        To promote an ethos of inclusive practice within the nursery, high expectations for children with SEND and the best possible outcomes.

• To provide advice and support to Children’s Centre colleagues in relation to SEND.
• To provide advice and support to other staff within the Springfield Project in relation to SEND, including Seedlings Stay and Play. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Lead the SEND provision for the nursery

·        Work with the nursery manager to regularly review the SEND policy and practice within the setting and agree how it will be implemented. 

·        Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the setting’s SEND policy, and for coordinating provision across the setting.

·        Implement SEN support and the graduated approach of: assess, plan, do, review to meet the outcomes identified for the child, including writing and reviewing SEN support plans as well as statutory paperwork, such as EHC needs assessment requests (with support from Area SENCO).

·        Apply for ISEY funding for individual children and ensure funding is implemented to support children effectively.

Support colleagues 

·        Ensure all practitioners in the setting understand: 

o   their responsibilities to children with SEN

o   how to work actively and effectively within the Assess Plan Do Review cycle.

·        Support individual practitioners in implementing the approach for individual children 

·        Identify and use training and other sources of support available to colleagues. 

·        Support the nursery manager and staff during inspections by regulatory bodies and assist in the implementation of any recommendations.

Partnership working

·        Make sure parents receive the information, advice and support that they need in order to participate in the SEN decision-making process.

·       Involve parents in the discussion of any early concerns, in identifying any SEN, and at all stages of the graduated approach. 

·        Ensure parents are closely involved and that their insights inform action taken by the setting. 

·        Work closely with the Area SENCO and other professionals from education, health and social care agencies as required, making referrals as needed.

·        Understand the Birmingham local offer.

·        Work alongside Springfield Children’s Centre in running a stay & play for children with SEND

·        Provide advice on SEND to Children’s Centre colleagues.

·        Provide advice on SEND to other Project staff and volunteers including Seedlings Stay and Play group and our Child Friendly Neighbourhood team.

• Reflect on own practice and undertake continuous professional development, including training related to SEND as well as attending relevant and mandatory training courses and maintaining appropriate Safeguarding and First Aid Certificates.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Strategy Execution: Works closely with the UK Managing Director, incorporating programmatic priorities for developing key funding partnerships, to align and execute the trusts and foundations fundraising strategy.
• Strategic Growth & Income Diversification: Supports the development of and executes a growth strategy to increase trust and foundation income, leveraging both existing and new opportunities, including institutional fundraising and government funding where relevant.
• Prospecting & Pipeline Development: Proactively identifies, researches, and cultivates new trust and foundation prospects to expand the current portfolio and drive significant new revenue growth in alignment with fundraising targets.
• Relationship Management & Stewardship: Establishes, nurtures, and manages strong relationships with trust and foundation donors, ensuring tailored engagement, timely reporting, and strategic alignment with donor priorities to maximize long-term support.
• Proposal & Fund Development: Leads the development and submission of compelling funding proposals to generate revenue, while ensuring collaboration with the global proposal development enablement function for high-value (£100k+) opportunities. Edits concepts, proposals, pitch decks and stewardships materials. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with WBR’s global Development & Marcomm and proposal development team to source insights, data, and programmatic information that strengthen proposals and enhance donor engagement, ensuring UK efforts align with international fundraising strategies.

About the role:

You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. The family caseworkers provide in person support to families who have experienced the sudden and traumatic death by Homicide (Murder/Manslaughter/Corporate manslaughter/Gross Negligence manslaughter). The Family Caseworkers also offer specialist support to direct Eyewitnesses of Homicide. They provide a systematic, trauma informed approach to care and undertake a comprehensive needs assessment which will create a bespoke support plan for each person they support. The caseworkers are responsible for ensuring the needs identified are met, that each person being supported receives guidance, advise and practical support as well as emotional support and advocacy. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills essential to managing a diverse workload, and be committed to supporting the caseworkers to deliver support.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional trauma informed advocacy and support to all and you will have an understanding of the impact that trauma and bereavement can have on individuals. We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.

You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team.
