Founded in 2018 by Alex McCallion and Jonathan Tan, Greater Change is an NGO providing cash grants to support people to overcome the financial barriers on their pathway out of homelessness using personalised budgets.

We partner with frontline charities and support workers who refer people to us who would benefit from our financial support. The personalised budgets (supported cash transfers) we provide are typically for rent deposits, ID documents, training courses etc. 

On average, Greater Change spends £1,400 per individual and last year 85% of the people we supported sustained their move into stable housing, saving the public purse over £41,000 per person per annum. 

Our goal is ultimately to use personalised budgets as a dignified and effective tool to end homelessness.

Philanthropy Manager 

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, ambitious and relationship-driven Philanthropy Manager to help grow Greater Change’s income, impact, and profile. Reporting to the Head of Growth and working closely with the CEO, this is a hands-on role suited to someone who can be creative and structured.

You will lead key income streams across High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts and Foundations, and fundraising events, delivering high-quality proposals and thoughtful stewardship that strengthens long-term partnerships.

The ideal candidate will be someone who understands how we are maximising impact and cost-effectiveness. You will be able to clearly communicate how our work delivers meaningful outcomes.

Above all, we are looking for someone proactive and thoughtful, who is motivated to play a key role in scaling a high-impact, evidence-led solution to homelessness.

Main Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the CEO on philanthropic relationships, including supporting the Development Board’s engagement, meetings, and follow-ups.

2. Lead all trusts and foundation activity end-to-end, including prospect research, applications and producing reports, while tracking funding deadlines, maintaining a clear pipeline, and providing regular progress updates to the CEO and Head of Growth.

3. Prepare high-quality proposals, cases for support, presentations, and donor communications.

4. Co-lead on developing and maintaining corporate partnerships with the Head of Growth 

5. Manage individual giving, with a focus on donor stewardship and growth.

6. Lead the planning and delivery of fundraising and stewardship events, including stewardship and fundraising events organised by the Greater Change and our Development Board

7. Supporting the Comms team to deliver donor communications across our newsletter and social media channels

We are looking for a Recovery Worker who is motivated, grounded, and compassionate; someone who can work confidently in a client‑facing environment, respond to risk dynamically, and build meaningful relationships with people who may have experienced repeated trauma and exclusion.

Ealing Accommodation Services provides high‑support, 24‑hour staffed accommodation for 24 adults with complex and multiple needs who have experienced street homelessness. We work intensively with individuals to help them stabilise, rediscover their strengths, and move towards sustainable independent living.

As a Recovery Worker at Ealing Accommodation Services, you will:

• Support residents with high and complex support needs, including mental health, substance use, homelessness and social isolation
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments and respond appropriately to changing needs and behaviours
• Deliver regular keywork sessions, helping residents develop confidence, stability and life skills
• Support people to progress towards move‑on accommodation and longer‑term independence
• Liaise with external professionals and services to ensure coordinated, holistic support

The service operates 24 hours a day, so the role requires working a rotating shift pattern, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This is an on‑site role with no home working.

About the role:

In our Women’s Respite Service in Camden, you’ll be working with women who have faced abuse, exploitation and homelessness, often after systems have let them down. You’ll be part of a space that feels different. A space where women are listened to, where their experiences are understood, and where they can begin to rebuild a sense of control over their lives.

No two days will look the same. One moment you might be de-escalating a sensitive situation, the next you’re advocating with services, or sitting alongside someone as they begin to make sense of what they’ve been through. You’ll use your understanding of trauma, gender informed practice and the realities of violence against women and girls to shape how support is delivered, making sure every interaction is grounded in safety, dignity and respect.

You’ll hold a small but complex caseload, working intensively with women to build trust, navigate risk and move towards stability and independence. You won’t give up easily. You’ll stay curious, creative and persistent, even when progress feels slow or uncertain.

As a senior in the team, your impact goes further. You’ll lead by example, guiding colleagues through complex situations and helping to embed a way of working that truly recognises what women have experienced and what they need to move forward. You’ll help shape a service that doesn’t just respond to crisis, but creates real, lasting change.

About the role

You will be primarily providing administrative support to a team across a range of functions within the Thames Valley, managing Excel spreadsheets and internal databases; managing calls to and from a range of people who have been impacted by crime. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload.

We support staff and volunteers to keep them safe within their role and you will be given all the training you need to be able to manage your role effectively. This role can at times be emotionally challenging and you may be exposed to demanding situations that requires resilience. As with all staff within the HS, you will be expected to engage with clinical supervision and supervision with you line manager.

Senior Philanthropy Manager

Permanent, full time (40 hours per week)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced high-value fundraiser to play a key role in driving philanthropic income, building meaningful donor relationships, and helping deliver ambitious impact.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of major donors and prospects, creating tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, and securing significant gifts (particularly at c.£10,000 / mid-value level) to support The Felix Project's work. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation including the Prospect Research Manager and other fundraising colleagues, to identify opportunities, shape compelling proposals and new products, and deliver an excellent donor experience from first engagement through to long-term relationships.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record in relationship-led fundraising, including experience of securing major gifts and developing donor pipelines. You'll be a confident communicator with excellent written skills, able to build trust with a wide range of stakeholders and create new products to engage donors giving at mid-value level. You'll be organised, proactive, and comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on delivery.

We are looking for a Prospect Development Manager to lead the Prospect Development Function. The successful candidate will work with Philanthropy & Trusts, Events, Corporate and Regional fundraising teams to drive forward activity in four key areas: prospect research and identification; prospect management; due diligence; and data management. The postholder will primarily support high value fundraising teams to develop robust supporter pipelines, looking for key areas of growth and opportunities to maximise supporter lifetime value to the organisation. 

How you'll help to create brighter futures, by:

• Working with Fundraising Heads and Leads to develop prospecting strategies for the identification of new high value prospects.

• Line management responsibility to deliver prospecting and pipeline activities to a high standard.

• Identifying new prospects via data mining, press scanning, peer networks, and prospecting projects to develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects for fundraising teams.  

• Managing a prospect management system on Raiser's Edge to track and manage the movement of Philanthropy prospects.

• Leading prospect portfolio reviews for the Philanthropy & Trusts team to assess the health of the pipeline.

• Working with the Leadership Teams to manage the process involved with the Charity's Donation Acceptance and Refusal Policy from end to end. 

• Acting as data champion for the Philanthropy, Events, Corporate and Regional Fundraising Teams.

Let's talk about you 

• Experience of prospect research including identifying and prioritising prospects, network mapping, ethical screening and developing gift capacity ratings. 

• Excellent standard of written communication with the ability to produce accurate and concise briefings.

• Experience of using and interrogating relational databases, ideally Raiser's Edge.

• Ability to interpret large volumes of data, synthesise information, present findings objectively and make recommendations. 

• Excellent inter-personal and relationship-building skills.

• A thorough understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR for prospect research and data management.

For over 100 years, we have supported those who work at sea by funding vital welfare services and driving long‑term, systemic change across the maritime sector.

We are now seeking an experienced Grants Manager to lead the delivery of our annual grant‑making programme and play a key role in achieving our Thrive strategy.

About the role

Reporting to the Impact Director, the Grants Manager will manage an annual grants programme of approximately £3 million, overseeing the full grants lifecycle from application and assessment through to monitoring, evaluation and learning. You will build strong relationships with funded partners, prepare robust funding recommendations for Trustees, and ensure our grant‑making is effective, proportionate and aligned with best practice.

You will also line manage an Impact Executive (0.4 FTE) and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to share learning, evidence impact and support wider fundraising and advocacy work.

About you

You will bring:

• Experience working in a charity, trust or grant‑making environment
• Proven experience managing grant programmes and the full grants lifecycle
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with confidence reviewing budgets and financial information
• Experience using grant management or CRM systems
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• A collaborative, proactive approach and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for seafarers

Knowledge of the maritime or fishing sectors, experience working with Trustees, or relevant professional training is welcomed but not essential.
