The role:

This Venue Sales Executive role is pivotal in maximising room hire and activity bookings, developing client relationships, and generating sustainable revenue for this central London charity.
As Venue Sales Executive, you will proactively identify opportunities, convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, and work with internal teams to ensure clients have a seamless, high-quality experience.

• Actively promote and sell conference room hire and activity packages to new and existing clients.
• Respond promptly to enquiries, prepare tailored proposals, and follow through to secure bookings.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, encouraging repeat bookings and referrals.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximise income.
• Coordinate post-event client interaction, including feedback collection, evaluation, and follow-up to maintain client loyalty.

In this UK-based role, with oversight of a £15m budget, we are looking for a strong, corporate business leader operating at a senior level to help take the Cystic Fibrosis Trust forward on our exciting journey towards a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis and optimising our finance and resources to deliver maximum impact for people with cystic fibrosis.
 
You will lead and develop a high performing multidisciplinary team of Heads including Finance, IT, Facilities, People and Organisation Development and Company Secretariat functions as well as work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and other internal and external stakeholders.
 
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Financial leadership of the Trust’s financial management strategy and statutory reporting and audit processes as well as reporting to our Boards and Committees.
• Digital & information systems: Lead IT and Digital development and implementation strategies, including delivery of the new CRM replacement going live in 2026 (MS Dynamics)
• People & Organisational development: Lead best practice in our people management strategies, policies and practices as well as championing diversity and inclusion and staff learning and development.

• To be a qualified accountant (CCAB recognised or equivalent) with minimum five years post-qualification experience and ongoing CPD.
• Proven high level financial management skills and experience of developing and delivering business and financial strategies and managing complex budgets and financial modelling.
• Proven experience of directing, leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams and working with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrable up-to-date working knowledge of charity law including SORP, charity governance, employment law/HR best practice, Data Protection (GDPR), and strong understanding of IT systems and facilities management.

Some of the things you would be responsible for as a Community Manager:

• Organising and delivering Companion workshops and training sessions to promote ongoing engagement with the Emmaus ethos, while identifying and supporting individual learning and development needs.

• To manage support relating to Companion’s needs regarding their daily living requirements, physical and mental health, safety and personal development.

• Ensure that effective Safeguarding systems are in place and maintained, acting as the organisation’s Designated Safeguarding Person, with delegated responsibility for policy development, implementation, and reporting.

The Research, Training and Consultancy Team is transforming. We focus on providing evidence based and insightful research, training and consultancy to a range of different stakeholders within the transport and planning sectors. This is an exciting time to join and be part of a new and dynamic training and consultancy provision function. This role is a mixture of delivering primary qualitive research, delivering training, and providing disability specialist information as a consultant.

Our work seeks to change the culture of transport and street design in the long term. You need to be an expert in disability access requirements and legislation and be able to undertake primary research techniques (such as facilitation, leading focus groups, workshops and survey design.Alongside this you will need a strong knowledge of disability equality and the social model, ideally with a focus on the transport and/or planning sector. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills. This role will require some travel (depending on client needs).
