We are looking for Senior Operations Contracts Lead

Salary: £38,000 - £48,000

Location: Based across multiple locations with the flexibility to work from home up to two days each week. The three key locations for this role are Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. The expectation is that a minimum of three days per week are spent in face-to-face, in-person contact (e.g. in Women’s Centres, Estates or external visits), and one of these days being a monthly visit to Head Office (the purpose being for interaction with colleagues and Central functions). Visits also required to HMP Peterborough and HMP Bronzefield.

Hours: 35 hours per week

About the role:

As an experienced senior manager with a proven track record of leadership in providing services to women in contact with the criminal justice system and working with partners and funders, you will manage criminal justice projects, work to develop and expand our services and partnerships and manage criminal justice managers and other staff as required.

You will work with the management team to ensure, manage and oversee that the services work within the budget, are complaint with financial regulations, policies and procedures, and meet funding and Advance requirements.

About You:

To be successful as the Senior Operations Contracts Lead you will need the below experience and skills:

A thorough understanding of and knowledge of the issues relating to women in the criminal justice system

• A sound knowledge of safeguarding adult and children principles, child abuse, child protection issues and safeguarding

• A good knowledge and understanding of organisational systems and frameworks, line management and project management

• Significant experience, likely to have been gained over several years, of strategic planning and operational management at a service manager level, and developing and delivering services at senior service management level

• Significant experience of working with women and/or service users with a complex range of needs, particularly within the criminal justice system, in custody and/or community.

• Experience of developing relationships with funders/commissioners and achieving required outcomes

• Experience of implementing quality assurance frameworks, monitoring, evaluating and measuring impact

• Strong influencing skills, enthusiasm, self-confidence, excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills , and a can do proactive solution focussed approach

• Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build strong and effective relationships and partnerships, dealing with ambiguity and resolving conflict effectively, achieving the right outcomes for the organisation, collaborating and networking

• Able to think, act and plan strategically to develop practical and creative solutions to the management of existing and new services and complex problems that may arise while maintaining high levels of diplomacy and professionalism

About the role 

We're looking for a proactive and organised Communications Assistant to support the delivery of our communications activity across digital channels, media, and campaigns. You’ll play an important role in helping us engage people affected by migraine, amplify our voice, and raise awareness of our impact.

About SPANA

SPANA (The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad) is the global charity for the working animals of the world. Since our foundation in 1923, we have worked where they work, to support the welfare of working animals, including horses, donkeys, mules, oxen, dogs and camels.

About this role

The Programmes Quality and Delivery department is a key unit within SPANA’s Global Programmes Directorate (GPD). The team ensures effective oversight of the design and delivery of working animal health and welfare interventions in collaboration with a range of national NGO partners across more than 20 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Central and South America. SPANA is strengthening the GPD to support partners to develop and deliver transformational and sustainable improvements in working animal welfare. 

Reporting to a Senior Programmes Manager, the Programmes Officer provides essential grant administration and project management support to a portfolio of partners, ensuring effective oversight across the lifecycle of grants. This involves developing effective working partnerships remotely and identifying risks and issues that need to be escalated. The Programmes Officer works closely with technical colleagues responsible for Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL), animal health and welfare, education and behaviour change and the wider organisation (e.g., communications, fundraising, advocacy and policy). 

Contract, location and salary

This role is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This is a UK based position, with 1-2 days per month (or more if preferred) worked from SPANA's office in London.

About the role 

You’ll be working on IG digital fundraising campaigns and improvement projects, leading this strategic area of fundraising, to engage and inspire people to donate. And you’ll make it as easy as possible for supporters to choose the way they want to give. You’ll be part of a team that champions and supports each other, and is innovative in a changing fundraising and external environment to achieve our annual income target of over £5 million. 

As a team, we use analysis and insight to deliver a variety of direct marketing activities that recruit new donors and ensure everyone can see the impact of their kind contribution. 

In this role, you will manage digital fundraising operations projects to optimise and improve digital fundraising content and journeys. When opportunities arise, you will lead on digital fundraising campaigns to acquire and retain new supporters and provide the best possible online experience. 

What you’ll do:

• Support the Individual Giving Manager (IGM) to help set strategic objectives, monitor income and expenditure using data analysis to inform and improve the individual giving programme

• Plan, create and manage digital IG fundraising campaigns and lead the digital fundraising strategic area within IG to maximise income

• Work with the Individual Giving Officers (IGO), delegating work as appropriate and championing their personal development. There may be an opportunity to line manage an Individual Giving Officer in the future

• Use digital tools such as email marketing platforms, digital acquisition platforms, website analytic tools and google sheets to manage insight-led journeys, communications, and to analyse basic performance data to inform and improve decisions from acquisition to conversion

• Integrate the IG digital fundraising programme into Fundraising & Experience Directorate activities and support the overall Parkinson’s UK strategic plan

What you’ll bring:

• Strong experience of managing IG digital fundraising activity with substantial income and expenditure budgets

• Proven success in donor or customer acquisition and retention through digital marketing

• Substantial experience of creating engaging and inspiring online materials in support of direct marketing campaigns

• Strong experience of using CMS and email platforms, ideally Marketing Cloud

Parkinson’s UK is looking for a motivated Finance professional to effectively partner with local communities, training treasurers and volunteers in best practices for financial governance and championing their interests within the organisation.

About the role

You’ll lead on reporting and management for all aspects of local community finances, ensuring compliance with HMRC, Audit, and Accounting regulations, while managing financial risks within the decentralised structure.

What you’ll do

• Lead, manage and develop a team who service the financial and banking needs for over 350 local groups across the UK.

• Lead and deliver on the local groups annual statutory accounts process and consolidation. Be the key point of contact for the external auditors.

• Champion local groups’ interests in strategic digital transformation projects and help implement changes in local networks.

• Ensure best practice in financial reporting and the internal control environment in line with external and statutory compliance.

• Engage with local group treasurers and chairs to ensure that there is buy-in from the local groups on new processes and systems.

• Be a key contact with the bank relationship team and lead on training of future  changes to banking systems.

• Be a pro-active leader representing the local groups finance team and collaborating with community engagement groups across the charity.

Direct Marketing Manager, European New Donors

Location:  London

Hiring Range:  46,000-55,000 GBP per year

Reporting to the Director of New Donor Engagement, the Direct Marketing Manager leads IFAW’s international new donor acquisition and global reactivation efforts. This role oversees the strategy and execution  of IFAW’s direct mail and face-to-face fundraising for four European markets:  Germany, France, UK and The Netherlands.  This role also designs and executes strategies to re-engage long lapsed supporters in all markets. Collaborate with the digital acquisition team to amplify results and leverage the strategies to attract new donors and reactivate lapsed donors. The manager collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively and in alignment with organizational goals.

Role and Responsibilities

· Lead all facets of direct mail new donor acquisition and reactivation programs, including strategic planning, budget oversight, creative strategy, vendor management, and process optimization.

· Support and participate in direct response TV campaigns and leverage that strategy to amplify results in direct mail and face to face channels.

· Develop and implement country-specific acquisition and reactivation strategies to maintain or grow donor file size in alignment with departmental goals.

· Conduct in-market research and stay informed on emerging donor acquisition methods and trends.

· Collaborate with Direct Marketing Directors to ensure newly acquired and reactivated donors align with overall fundraising goals and audience segmentation strategies.

· Oversee vendors and internal colleagues to ensure acquisition and reactivation campaigns are executed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

· Apply direct marketing principles, fundraising strategies, and analytical insights to design and optimize acquisition and reactivation campaigns.

· Research, identify, and recommend acquisition and reactivation test plans that support innovation, cost efficiency, and departmental growth objectives.

· Contribute to the development and management of the annual budget and three-year projections, ensuring alignment with strategic fundraising priorities.

· Deliver timely and accurate monthly forecast updates to the Director of New Donor Engagement, accompanied by a clear narrative outlining key performance trends, strategic adjustments, and changes impacting acquisition and reactivation campaigns.

· Review vendor contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards and alignment with organizational policies, fundraising ethics, and operational expectations. Ensure that vendors operate within contractual agreements.

· Lead the vendor selection process by issuing bids, evaluating proposals, and managing onboarding to ensure alignment with organizational standards and campaign goals.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· 5+ years of direct marketing experience, preferably within a nonprofit or fundraising context

· Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of self-motivation, effective time management, and team development

· Proven success managing cross-functional teams and external vendors to execute complex projects on schedule and within scope

· Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a focus on clarity, persuasion, and donor engagement

· Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed fundraising goals, with a solid understanding of donor acquisition and retention strategies

· Global marketing exposure or international campaign experience is highly desirable

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a relevant experience preferred
