We’re looking for an Advice & Wellbeing Specialist to provide high-quality, holistic support to residents, helping them sustain tenancies and improve their wellbeing. This is a floating outreach role, so you’ll need to be prepared to work flexibly across NE London, NW London, and South London, with one day per week based in an office.
Your typical day could start by working with residents in their homes and neighbourhoods to understand their immediate needs. Later, you might deliver advice and wellbeing support in a community wellbeing hub before engaging with external stakeholders to build a strong network of support for our residents.
As an Advice & Wellbeing Specialist, you’ll deliver proactive and trauma-informed support tailored to residents’ needs. You’ll work closely with them to understand wellbeing concerns and agree an action plan to enable them to sustain their tenancies and feel connected to their community. You’ll empower residents through positive engagement, helping them develop skills and resilience to lead independent and fulfilled lives.
Your key responsibilities
You’ll deliver personalised, trauma-informed advice and wellbeing support in the community, taking a holistic approach to tenancy, health, and social needs. You’ll manage safeguarding cases with care, build strong relationships with internal teams like Neighbourhood Managers, Financial Inclusion, and Repairs, and collaborate with external partners such as local authorities, mental health services, and advice agencies. Alongside this, you’ll support wellbeing hubs and community events, keep accurate records, manage cases effectively, and use CRM systems to track and report outcomes.
About you
- Experience delivering a range of advice and wellbeing advocacy in outreach, face-to-face settings.
- Extensive experience managing a large and varied caseload.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively.
- Self-motivated, resilient, with a successful track record of engaging and supporting people in vulnerable and complex circumstances.
- Backgrounds may include: social services, family support, drug & alcohol services, Citizens Advice, homelessness charities.
- Awareness of the client group and ability to work empathetically.
- Confident using IT systems and collaborating with partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel across London (licence helpful but not essential).

The role/ responsibilities:
In recent years, the charity has experienced significant growth—supporting more children, partnering with leading hospitals, and attracting a growing number of dedicated supporters.
The Head of Partnerships and Events will oversee the charities growing portfolio of special fundraising events. Age UK Croydon’s very successful Personal Safety Project (Falls Prevention) for older people in Croydon is recruiting a new Senior Personal Safety Assessor. If you are an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual, this could be the role for you.
Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.
Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids and adaptations to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.

About the Role
The Senior Programme Development Lead (Lessons from Auschwitz Project and Ambassador Programme) Maternity Cover is accountable for the delivery of the Trust’s flagship Lessons from Auschwitz Project, and the Trust’s Youth Advocacy Programme (AKA Ambassador Programme), including all content and quality assurance related to the delivery of a portfolio of activity that falls within these programmes. The remit of the Senior Programme Development Lead (Lessons from Auschwitz Project and Ambassador Programme) Maternity Cover will include two areas of leadership:
1. The continued development and delivery of our Youth Advocacy/Ambassador Programme – the Trust’s youth engagement initiative. The SPDL is responsible for ensuring that through this programme the Trust engages young people across the country, ensuring they understand what the Holocaust was, inspiring them to be part of ensuring this history is remembered, and empowering them to recognise and address antisemitism when they see it today. The SPDL is responsible for driving a youth engagement strategy, which actively scales up the reach of the programme – bringing it to new audiences. They will be responsible for developing high quality, inspiring, engaging and empowering content to young people in England, Scotland and Wales – quality assuring the programme and all associated initiatives. 2. Role Summary
The (Senior) Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of communications to help us win our campaigns. We are looking for a proactive and hands-on team player, who will build relationships with journalists, securing media hits in top mainstream media, ensuring that communications are a strong part of our strategies to win campaigns. While the position involves broader communications tasks, its core focus is strategic media work — driving impactful coverage, shaping narratives, and ensuring our investigative campaigns gain global visibility.

We are a small team, so this is a hands-on role with the focus on press work, but it also requires managing our key communications channels and our website. Candidate Profile
We are looking for an experienced communications professional with at least 7 years’ experience in journalism or in leading successful communications for a non-profit organisation, PR agency, or similar. Ideally, you are a creative, hands-on individual with great inter-personal skills, able to form collaborative working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders, ranging from journalists to creative agencies and our NGO partners.
What we are looking for – Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must have:
- Demonstrable experience personally leading media outreach for major investigations or campaigns, with a proven record of securing top-tier international and national coverage (e.g. Financial Times, Guardian, Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, major broadcasters).
- A strong, active network of journalist contacts, and the confidence and instinct to pick up the phone, pitch stories, brief reporters, and manage embargoed launches under tight deadlines.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English, with the ability to craft sharp press materials; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
- Experience coordinating and executing major report launches, working closely with campaigners and partners to shape narratives that cut through, develop media strategies, prepare messaging, and proactively pitch stories to journalists.
- An exceptional eye for detail and an ability to distil complex research into clear, compelling, and accessible media and social-media content.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines, manage fast-moving campaigns, and perform under pressure.
- A creative, strategic mindset, able to think outside the box, introduce innovative communications tactics, and adapt messaging to a rapidly changing external environment.
- Digital fluency, with experience leading online engagement or mobilisation campaigns and an understanding of how digital channels support broader media and campaign goals.

About the Role
Based in the UK, this role will play a central role in managing and supporting the recruitment and onboarding of multiple project delivery roles across various countries, whilst also offering HR support to an ambitious FCDO-funded global safeguarding programme. Human Resources:

For a small London-based charity, we are recruiting an Interim Head of Finance for 6 + months, starting ASAP. Reporting to C-suite, the main accountabilities will focus on providing insightful monthly management accounts and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees / Board, and to ensure the correct allocation of expenditure to a high number of grant funds.
