KEY RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:

• Update monthly actuals and track variances within the cashflow.

 Purpose:  The Peer Support Officer role will work within Bipolar UK’s Peer Support Line team to support our community through telephone and email support across the UK.

The role involves using your skills and knowledge to support people affected by bipolar disorder with support requests and providing information and signposting to people via email and telephone. The successful applicant will also manage service reports in Salesforce, report back regularly to the management team, as well as developing links with other mental health services or appropriate agencies.

Though Bipolar UK does not offer Crisis Support, the successful applicant may have to direct members of our community experiencing a crisis to relevant services and will also be responsible for recognising and reporting Safeguarding incidents within the bounds of Bipolar UK’s Safeguarding Policies.

The position requires good personal interaction and the ability to empathise with service users while remaining calm and considered in sometimes difficult situations.  This is a varied and hands on role and we are looking for someone with good communication (verbal and written) along with good organisational skills. Bipolar UK will offer the successful applicant regular support and engagement with the team, as well as reflective practice sessions throughout their service with the charity.

The Peer Support Officer reports to the Services Manager who manages this service. This will be a home-based role with occasional travel, such as team days/meetings/training.

At Endometriosis UK, we are passionate about driving political change for the 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth living with endometriosis in the UK. This role will play an instrumental role in supporting the campaigns and policy function within the wider Communications Team.

This will be a busy, varied and important role working closely with the Policy and Campaigns Manager and Head of Campaigns and Communications to provide administration and wider support for the charity’s growing policy and campaigns function. This will include contributing to the production of government consultation responses, writing letters to politicians, producing background briefings ahead of parliamentary meetings and taking responsibility for political monitoring and informing the team of any engagement opportunities. A key part of the role will also be providing administration support for the policy function of the charity and the Head of Communications and Campaigns, including administrative support for the All-Party-Parliamentary Group on Endometriosis which Endometriosis UK provides secretariat support for. Tasks will include writing minutes, helping produce briefing papers, and booking events and meeting rooms.

You will also be the first point of call for our campaign supporters and will be aiding our supporters to take campaign actions through the drafting and creation of e-actions using Engaging Networks. nia has been delivering services to women, girls and children who have been subjected to sexual and domestic violence and abuse, including prostitution, since 1975. The organisation has three main aims: to provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence; contributing to ending male violence against women and girls, and to inform and influence policy and public awareness.

East London Rape Crisis provides free, confidential specialist support for women and girls who have been raped or experienced any other form of sexual violence or abuse at any time in their lives, regardless of whether or not they have reported to the police. Role Purpose

The Front of House & Security staff play a pivotal role within the Head Office of Mothers Union, called Mary Sumner House, acting as the primary point of contact for all visitors, tenants, and clients. This role is responsible for delivering a professional, secure, and high-quality front-of-house experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy conference and office environment within a Grade II listed building in Westminster.

The postholder will ensure the effective coordination of meeting room bookings, uphold security and health & safety standards, and contribute to maintaining an exceptional environment that reflects the organisation’s values. Working independently and collaboratively, they will support the broader facilities and tenant management and conference operations.

Core Responsibilities

· To provide a professional, welcoming and secure “front of house” service for Mothers’ Union, acting as the first point of contact for all visitors, members, guests, tenants and clients.

· To maintain the security of the building and staff by monitoring access, CCTV and emergency procedures.

· To assist with meeting-room bookings.

· To deliver exceptional customer service and a premium experience for all tenants, clients, guests and VIPs.

· To maintain a safe, secure, welcoming and immaculate environment in line with brand standards and health & safety protocols.

Detailed Tasks

Front of House / Reception

1. Welcome visitors, guests, tenants and clients warmly and professionally, ensuring a first-class, personalised and memorable experience for every arrival and departure.
2. Manage VIP arrivals and departures with seamless, attentive and personalised service.
3. Greet and assist professionally; provide information, directions, to desired locations and general support as required.
4. Answer mainline overflow calls, in addition to routed room booking calls and respond to emails courteously, promptly and efficiently, redirecting or handling enquiries appropriately.
5. Deal with any queries or concerns from guests/clients with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
6. Create and maintain positive rapport and excellent professional relationships with guests, clients, tenants and team members.
7. Ensure all internal and external clients feel valued and supported at all times.
8. Receive, and distribute incoming post and deliveries acting as the building’s Post Master to include franking the outgoing MU related post.
9. Maintain general tidiness, cleanliness and a professional standard in all front-of-house areas and customer suites.

Security

1. Sign in all visitors and issue access passes to contractors in accordance with building procedures.
2. Maintain lobby presence and ensure entrance doors are covered at all times.
3. Assist in emergency situations (including fire evacuations, incident isolations and drills) and ensure common areas and fire exits remain clear.
4. Understand and strictly adhere to health & safety policies, security measures, building access control protocols and SOPs.

Conferencing & Meeting Room Support

1. To handle enquiries, take and manage bookings for meeting rooms.
2. In the absence of the Conference Manager, cover bookings, administration and liaison with the facilities team to ensure rooms are set up correctly with refreshments and AV equipment.

General MU Operational Support

1. Contribute to the continuous improvement of front-of-house services and operational processes within Mary Sumner House.

2. Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required by your Line Manager or Department Director, in line with the scope and responsibilities of the role to support the wider organisation.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London and does not fall under the organisational hybrid working policy due to the nature of the position.

Working pattern is flexible for the right combination of individuals, and will be agreed in conversation with the other candidate due to the nature of the job share.

We are looking to cover the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday ideally split into morning and afternoon shifts to allow lunchtime cover, flexibility during busier periods and sustainability to provide appropriate cover for each other during periods of annual leave.

About the role

This role supports the delivery of The Passage’s organisational strategy objective, to build brand awareness, attract new supporters and retain them over time through our digital channels. 

The Digital Acquisition and Supporter Journey Officer will focus on the hands‑on delivery and optimisation of paid digital campaigns, email marketing and digital journeys that introduce new audiences to The Passage, encourage initial engagement, and ongoing relationships with supporters. Working collaboratively with Fundraising and Communications colleagues, the postholder will help to build, test and embed effective approaches to achieve these goals. 

Main duties

Digital Acquisition and Paid Advertising 

• Coordinate the delivery and optimisation of paid digital campaigns across platforms such as Meta and Google to engage and retain supporters in-line with fundraising objectives. 
• Support the delivery of paid activity aimed at raising brand awareness, introducing new audiences to The Passage and strengthening understanding of our work and impact. 
• Work within agreed budgets, monitoring spend and performance and escalating issues as needed. 
• Support campaign testing and learning by trialling audiences, creative and messaging and reporting on results. 
• Work closely with Fundraising and Communications colleagues to ensure paid activity supports wider campaigns, appeals and events. 

Supporter Journeys and Digital Engagement 

• Coordinate the development and improvement of supporter journeys across key digital touchpoints, including email, website journeys, campaign landing pages, sign-up flows and donation journeys, ensuring alignment and integration with relevant internal teams to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience. 
• Identify areas for improvement within existing journeys and support the implementation of agreed changes. 
• Document and maintain clear journey maps and their technical set up, ensuring relevant members of the Fundraising and Communications Team can understand, embed, and apply them consistently across digital touchpoints. 

Email Marketing and Supporter Development 

• Support the planning, creation and scheduling of email campaigns and automated supporter journeys. 
• Use segmentation and basic personalisation to improve relevance and engagement. 
• Assist with testing subject lines, content and timing to support continuous improvement. 

Insight, Analysis and Reporting 

• Continually review and improve the implementation of performance tracking, identifying practical improvements and supporting agreed changes to enhance effectiveness over time. 
• Monitor and collate performance data from digital platforms, analytics tools and CRM reports. 
• Produce regular performance summaries and contribute insights to inform future activity. 
• Support a test‑and‑learn approach by capturing learning and sharing it with colleagues in practical, accessible ways. 

Collaboration and Role Development 

• Support the delivery of coordinated digital activity that balances awareness‑raising, acquisition, and supporter retention objectives. 
• Work collaboratively with Fundraising and Communications colleagues to ensure digital activity is aligned and coordinated, supporting integrated campaign delivery. 
• Share learning and best practice across the team, contributing insights and recommendations to inform continuous improvement and support more effective future activity. 
• Contribute to the development of processes, templates and ways of working as the digital function grows. 
• Keep up-to-date with relevant digital marketing and fundraising trends and tools, sharing learning where appropriate. 

General responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with your Line Manager, to support the ongoing development of the role, ensuring responsibilities remain appropriate to the needs of The Passage. 

• To attend internal and external meetings, training events and briefings as required. 

• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisals, identifying job‑related development and training needs. 

• To ensure all The Passage policies and procedures are adhered to, particularly those relating to Health and Safety, Code of Practice and Confidentiality.
