Reporting to the CEO and working closely with our Digital Marketing Officer and Gifts in Wills Officer, you will:

• Develop and deliver a data-driven social media strategy that fuels measurable fundraising growth.

• Use ManyChat to grow a permission-based Messenger community and launch engaging campaigns that drive both immediate and sustained fundraising results.

  Plan, launch, and optimise virtual fundraising challenges (like Run for the Dogs or Step Up for Wildlife) — turning clicks into community and compassion into cash.

• Create powerful storytelling content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X — designed to move people from awareness to action.

• Manage and optimise paid social advertising to grow AWIP’s supporter base and recurring donor network.

• Engage directly with our followers — responding to messages and comments with empathy, professionalism, and urgency.

• Work alongside our investigations team to flag and report potential cruelty cases seen on social media, gather evidence from witnesses, and receive OSINT (open-source intelligence) training to support real-world investigations.

• Capture and produce behind-the-scenes content from field operations and events, showcasing AWIP’s lifesaving work.

• Represent AWIP at digital fundraising and social media conferences, contributing to growing our thought leadership profile in digital engagement.

You’re a performance-driven, strategic, and creative thinker who thrives in a fast-moving environment. You understand that social media isn’t just about followers or likes — it’s about measurable impact, mission growth, and movement-building.

• Proven experience managing social media for a brand, NGO, or campaign.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Main objectives:

• To provide support to the part-time FD and implement any new directives for the Finance function, as instructed

Summary of duties:

The provision of accurate and timely business support and analysis, including:

• Responsible for the ongoing day-to-day running of the company’s financial systems, primarily on Xero accounting software and Excel. 
• Management of month-end process ensuring all procedures are completed including bank reconciliations. 
• Support departments in finance reports in liaison with department contacts, discuss/resolve any variances. 
• Delivering other ad hoc reporting and analysis for all departments as required
• Ad hoc financial guidance and input for departments as required, ensuring a high level of responsiveness and assistance, particularly for larger one-off projects. 
• Develop, review and document all financial systems and procedures and keep information and processes up to date, (Soldo Card, approval & posting of purchase invoices) 
• Balance sheet – posting and reconciling all the balance sheet accounts including the processing of prepayments, deferrals and accruals as required
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships and levels of customer service across the GM
• Supporting the part-time Director of Finance in the development of the finance system in relation to management reporting and analysis
• Assisting in maintaining and improving our internal controls and processes as the finance function continues to grow

• Ensure annual Gift Aid claims are completed and processed in a timely manner
• Manage the accounts payable process and ensure all invoices are posted correctly, and paid in line with company policy.

• Review debtors weekly and take action to ensure invoices are settled in good time. 
• Review and resolve any issues with monthly bank reconciliations.

  • correct posting and reporting, so as to enable Finance Director review and authorisation for payment;
  • all PAYE and pension contributions are submitted and paid on time
  • effective interaction with the HR manager who prepares and manages the monthly payroll and the company auto-enrolment pension scheme) 
• Compilation and submission of monthly payroll to external payroll provider including staff salaries, reviewed by the Finance Director.

• Support in monitoring and to ensure the company’s compliance with financial and finance-related regulations including tax, VAT, accounting regulations, Charity Commission, Companies' House (including SORP, SOFA) and Charities Act. 

· Responsible for ensuring that all transactional processing happens efficiently and effectively.

· Manage and maintain the fixed assets register ensuring the company has accurate and relevant information on all assets.

General responsibilities:

What will I be doing?

• Support the Lead to translate the Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement operating plan and budget into an audience marketing plan and budget. Define and develop the audiences and product offerings that need activating as part of this marketing plan and manage the development and delivery of cross-channel integrated briefs
• Own the team's approach to cross-sell and cultivation, making strong, data-led recommendations that balance audience and business need and shape the mass journeys supporters receive
• Manage the planning, set-up, delivery and analysis of integrated multi-channel campaigns that meet and exceed specific audience KPIs
• Manage the content and creative production, testing and optimisation process, ensuring campaign assets are fully aligned with Brand messaging and other communications themes

What are you looking for?

About the Service

Our Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.

About the Role

Mental Healthcare Support Workers (Bank) are key members of staff delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service, taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the crisis cafe and helpline provision. Working closely with other staff (bank staff, volunteers), coordinators, team leaders and Crisis manager to ensure services are of the highest quality and support the continued growth and development of the service.

By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

Whilst experience is advantageous, the most important thing to us and the people we support is having the right values, skills and commitment to delivering high quality, person centred mental health crisis support.

You will work across both our SafeCall and Hertfordshire Missing Children’s Services, providing emotional and practical support to young people using virtual methods of communication. You will support young people who have been or who are at risk of missing and being exploited. You will provide a safe and confidential space for them to talk through their experiences and to disclose any harm and ongoing adverse experiences they have suffered. You will be a strong advocate for young people and families, working with them and other agencies to ensure they get the help they need to stay safe, and to reduce the risks of harm they face.
 
The Hertfordshire Missing Children’s Team operates on weekdays throughout Hertfordshire and is responsible for providing safeguarding, practical and emotional support, casework, advocacy and safety planning.
 
The dedicated SafeCall casework team is responsible for providing safeguarding, practical and emotional support, casework, advocacy, practical advice and emotional support nationally. The SafeCall team work collaboratively with the Helplines team who provide anonymous expert crisis support, safeguarding, safety planning, signposting and referrals out of hours capacity. These two teams ensure the full wraparound SafeCall service.
 
Key Accountabilities

• Deliver supportive interventions to families, parents, carers, children, and young people who have been missing or experiencing involvement with gangs & county lines
• To deliver national anonymous support via phone, email, SMS, and live chat, working collaboratively with the helpline team to offer a wraparound SafeCall service.
• Deliver Return Home Discussions / 121 Session support for the returned missing / vulnerable young people / children within expeditious timescales
• Speak up for children, young people, parents and carers who are at risk
• Provide feedback to the referring agency (with consent) on the general progress of the intervention and any identifiable needs which could be better met.
• Support children, young people, parents and carers through on-going support
• Develop support plans for children, young people and their families/carer to work towards mutually agreed goals.
• Support parents and carers to understand the service and the wider support available through the charity
• Be sensitive to the distress parents and carers may be experiencing following a child’s disappearance, which can sometimes be ongoing in relation to CCE.

The Taskforce for Lung Health (the secretariat for which is provided by Asthma + Lung UK) is a collaboration of the largest ever group of organisations and individuals who have come together, as a team, to improve lung health. Our primary goal is to elevate the importance of lung health within the NHS. The Taskforce has over 50 members including patients, carers, healthcare professionals, the voluntary sector and professional associations. An Industries Forum working alongside the Taskforce includes representatives from the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, devices and digital industries. 

Senior Policy and Engagement Officer – Taskforce for Lung Health

This role will support the Taskforce to deliver its ambitious programme of activity for 2026, working collaboratively with members and partners to deliver meaningful change for people with respiratory conditions.  You will lead and drive forward Taskforce policy and influencing work across priority areas, producing high-quality evidence-based outputs, working in collaboration with Taskforce members and partners, including patients, clinicians, other charities and corporate partners. You will develop the Taskforce’s engagement strategy, identifying opportunities to increase engagement and harness the potential of our collective endeavours to drive improvements in care for people with respiratory conditions, building strong working relationships with key stakeholders. This role can be either Office based or Remote based.

Reporting to the Health Policy Manager, you will carry out proactive policy and influencing work across a range of health policy areas related to NHS services, treatment and care for lung conditions. You will work closely with other policy team members to influence change, and draft impactful policy positions and recommendations, using research, patient experience, clear analysis and strong arguments. You will work with a range of important external stakeholders, building strong relationships and influencing positive change. This role is Office based only.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to plan and prioritise your workload efficiently. You will have experience of developing robust policy positions and campaigning for policy change. You will be proactive and able to manage your workload independently, able to communicate complex issues to different audiences, and work collaboratively with a range of teams and external stakeholders. You will be comfortable managing multiple deadlines and adapting to changes in the external policy environment.
