This is an exciting opportunity to lead the launch and development of Imprinted, Imperial College Union’s brand-new Temp Staff Agency. Designed to provide flexible and meaningful employment opportunities for Imperial students, the agency will serve both internal departments and external clients, enhancing the student experience while supporting the Union’s commercial strategy.

As Temp Agency Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing student workforce, ensuring operational excellence, and driving business growth. What you would be doing

You will lead the day-to-day operations of the Temp Agency, overseeing recruitment, training, placement, and welfare of a large student workforce. You’ll also be responsible for financial oversight, performance monitoring, and strategic growth, including expanding the agency’s reach during student vacation periods.

Key responsibilities include:

Operational Management

Job Title: Support Mentor

Location: Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), the service is a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service. The role includes:

• Supporting residents with daily tasks
• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to their needs
• Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
• Carry out general housing management support

About You

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who have multiple and complex needs, with a drive to help support those who suffer with homelessness, mental health, and substance use. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each individual has different levels and types of support needs. Further we look for:

• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly around multiple and complex needs

As our Health, Safety and Facilities Manager you will provide efficient facilities management and Health & Safety services to and for Friends of the Earth’s offices, workspaces, staff and volunteers. 

We are looking for someone with experience of a broad range of facilities management across multiple sites and the ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and with different needs.

Entry level Health and Safety qualification or working towards this is essential along with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out assessments. 

Key Skills and Attributes:  

• Practical experience of a broad range of facilities work, including Hard and Soft Facilities matters across multiple sites. 

• Management of third parties’ contractors hired to complete facilities tasks, using method statements, risk assessments and a permit to work scheme. 

• Proven experience of improving supplier value through contract review, market research and contract negotiation 

• Entry level Health and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or similar) and working towards NEBOSH qualification, with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out Risk Assessments, DSE Assessments, etc.

Job Title: Support Mentor

Location: West London (Unfortunately, this premises has no step free access)

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (One Saturday once every 3 months instead of a Friday) on a rolling rota including 07:30 - 15:30, 09:00 - 17:00 and 11:30 - 19:30

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Mentor. We are looking for someone who really cares about the rights of women and their children to join our service in West London. This is an opportunity to support within a refuge accommodation for women and children surviving domestic abuse, many of whom are living with trauma. As a Support Mentor, you will support in providing a much needed safe space and support for women, for them to feel empowered in their healing journey and feel secure in their independence, strengths, and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support residents/participants to achieve their desired goals/outcomes in various ways
• Ensure all residents/participants understand their rights and responsibilities, and have access to the right tools, resources, and networks to support them in achieving their goals.
• Develop, participate in, and encourage residents/participants to participate in the running and development of various projects and activities.
• Empower residents/participants to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.
• Provide advice, information, guidance, and life skills training to residents/participants as required.
• Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health, physical health, or other health implications and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks.

Our Refuge works to support women with complex and enduring needs and women who experience domestic abuse to reclaim their power and find their voice. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver exceptional support to women and children at a particularly challenging time in their lives. Title: Data and Reporting Officer – Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)

About the role 

Sightsavers work in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) contributes to a range of public health problems to reduce disparities, lower disease burdens, and build locally owned sustainable health programs. The NTD Data and Reporting Officer sits within the NTD Surveillance unit and provides a single point of contact for programme and country teams on data monitoring and reporting. 

The position will be based in the UK, with occasional travel to Sightsavers headquarters in Haywards Heath, and international travel up to four weeks per year. 

As the NTD Data and Reporting Officer you will help standardise, consolidate and continuously improve directorate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) tools and processes, maintain data architecture for NTDs, ensuring core organisational data assets are of high quality, cohesive and accessible, and manage secure storage for NTD data reporting. 

Further responsibilities include: 

• Maintain a cross-departmental M&E calendar. 

• Develop and disseminate and track quarterly planning and reporting templates for country office/partners. 

• Quality check data submissions prior to consolidation against organisational data policy. 

• Ensure programme plans (targets) and associated performance data (actuals) are timely and accurately entered in core organisational data systems. 

• Process and analyse large, complex datasets on request for directorate senior management, donors and partners. 

• Conduct detailed reviews of donor reports, narratives and press releases to ensure any referenced data is accurate and appropriately referenced.

• Provide day to day capacity building and support for directorate and country office staff on data monitoring and reporting. 

• Provide ongoing support to licensed NTD data systems, including acting as a first point of contact for the directorate NTD data helpdesk. 

• Participate in NTD programme and team meetings.

Skills and Experience 

As the successful candidate you will possess practical experience or an undergraduate degree in international development, public health, international relations, geography, statistics, or an appropriate equivalent. You will also have excellent English language skills, have an understanding of international development issues and a commitment to equality of opportunity for people with disabilities, and have experience within data reporting and monitoring. 

Further requirements include: 

Essential 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets. 

• Understanding of data privacy and best practices in data security. 

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to identify critical issues and communicate these effectively to colleagues. 

• Able to facilitate group-training sessions, with a focus on programme systems and data, building capacity in developing country contexts in areas relevant to position. 

• Advanced Excel skills, and proficiency with Microsoft suite. 

• Knowledge and understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation reporting. 

• Experience processing and analysing large and complex data sets. 

Desirable 

• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese. 

• Experience of working in different countries, preferable within NTDs or the public health sector. 

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data visualisation platforms, such as PowerBI and Tableau.

It’s an exciting and important time for our charity as we work to help more people out of homelessness and poverty as part of an ambitious strategy. 

The newly created role of Federation Development Lead will sit within the Partnerships and Federation Development directorate, to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives, as part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better while using our voice to achieve social change. 

The principal responsibility will be to support our ambition to become a best practice national body, responsible for leading on and supporting the development of key projects within Emmaus UK and the wider federation.

This will include providing leadership to support Emmaus communities across the UK to prepare and respond to the introduction of the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act, you will require an understanding and commitment to best practice and legislative requirements related to the provision of supported housing, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into user friendly support, training, guidance and policies and procedures

The role will also provide a critical role in the implementation and delivery of Emmaus UK’s ambitious plans to seek registration as a provider of social housing. You will provide the project management and technical skills required to support the successful delivery of the application process, ensuring that risk and regulatory requirements are considered and acted upon at each stage, maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders externally and across the federation.

As the Federation Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of the Emmaus movement within the UK, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the overall success of the federation. Your role will involve supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans, programme design and implementation, stakeholder management, and continuous evaluation and improvement of developed initiatives.

Working with the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and wider Senior Leadership Team, the role will be central to the delivery of strategic objectives related to the development of the movement.
