The Marsh Christian Trust (MCT) is looking for an Assistant to join a small, dynamic team and support the day-to-day running of the organisation. This role would be for a 9-month contract as maternity leave cover, and would suit someone who is interested in the charity world and looking for a part-time position. The role will be office-based for 3 days a week, starting in mid-July 2025.

The Trust is a busy grantmaking charity, supporting a range of small organisations across the sector with core funding to support their running costs. The Trust also runs an exciting Awards programme, which sees them partner with larger charities to help recognise their volunteers and outstanding individuals in thier field of work.

Key responsibilities and duties

• To support the grants programme – preparing applications for review, researching organisations applying for funding and processing grants. 
• To assist in the administration of the Marsh Awards Scheme – writing letters, and helping to coordinate events.
• Updating records and files, minute-taking, diary management, booking travel, preparing internal lunches, collecting and distributing the post, and any other ad-hoc administrative duties required.
• To assist the wider office with administrative tasks.

Personal Specification

• Good communication skills.

• Some previous general office experience would be useful.

From your UK home-base you’ll be flying the flag for the charity outside of Wales as a Fundraiser. You’ll put on quality fundraising events and build strong relationships through our reputation and Welsh links making a difference when it comes to people with cancer.

The details

Working 28 hours per week flexibly you’ll need a UK work base. The salary is £29,600 (or £37,000 FTE)

Days and hours can be built in and around our standard operating week as set out in our staff benefits. We’re open to making the working week fit into your own lifestyle and the nature and needs of this type of Fundraising role. With a lot of autonomy in where you run events to meet your annual target there may need to be some travel to a city/location where you’re generating the income or some events you run may be in evenings or weekends. 

Around going to work events for the role the rest of the job can be done from home anywhere in the UK. Our Cardiff City Centre Head Office is always available to you too. Most Team meetings and day to day colleague work is handled remotely but we’d expect to see you in the office for things such as our quarterly team meetings.

About the role

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting those who struggle with complex needs, substance use, and dual diagnosis. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly to support residents and participants who struggle to engage with the support available to them through various providers. You will be at the heart of engaging our participants to regain motivation and the strength to step down from acute psychiatric wards and other supported living, by empowering them with the relevant skills and knowledge to support their journey. You will support them towards achieving their personal goals including independent living. You will be based across various homes, hospitals, wards, and supported living accommodations based around Lewisham.

You will provide pathways, support, and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve more safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders. The areas of support will include: Prevention, Transition, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), Support, and Social Inclusion. 

This role will work alongside South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) who provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. They also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol with 4,600 staff serving a local population of 1.3 million people.

• Support a caseload of participants, contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
• Positively promote the pathways available towards independent living within the community. Ensure participants understand what tools and resources are available to them to regain independence.
• Participate in, and encourage R&Ps to participate in the running and development of projects, initiatives, training and volunteering.
• Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
• You may need to attend external appointments when required.

Our client is an award-winning charity, supporting and empowering women with convictions and care leavers into sustainable employment. They are now recruiting for a Support Service Manager (initially on a 6 month fixed term contract), to oversee a small team of Employability Coaches providing person-centred support to a caseload of women, helping to get them ‘work ready’.

As Support Service Manager you will oversee a small team of 4 and will support your team in building trusting relationships with the women in their caseload, helping to equip service users with the skills, tools and mindsets in order to secure and sustain employment. You will hold a small caseload of around 5-10 women and will ensure that new cases are allocated, and caseload volumes are managed in a way that mitigates the need for a waiting list, while being within colleague’s capacity. You will manage case reviews with team members on an as-needed basis and will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead to promote a safeguarding culture, providing advice and guidance on occasional safeguarding matters, supported by two Designated Safeguarding Officers.

For a complex global organisation, we're recruiting a Director of FP&A. This is a significant leadership role driving informed decision-making as well as strategic oversight of all global FP&A, aligning long-term goals with organisational change and transformation. The Director of FP&A will lead the development and consolidation of all group FP&A activities, including 5-year plans, budgets, forecasting, scenario analysis, and executive-level decision-making as well as the delivery of a new FP&A tool, whilst developing and embedding a new TOM. Reporting to the Global Finance Director, this role will drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, influencing and supporting global stakeholders during significant business transformation to establish a best-in-class global FP&A function.

Main Duties:

• Leadership of Group FP&A service to Board, SLT, Regions, Business Units and externally
• Leadership across FP&A community, ensuring Global FP&A processes are consistent and that FP&A technology, best-practice, and continuous improvement are key
• Maintain, and enhance MI reporting, ensuring planning system is adaptive to change
• Long Term Financial Planning - supporting the CFO and Global FD in ensuring business trajectory is linked to strategy and organisational goals
• Deliver 5yr financial plans and that analysis and insights are driving decision-making
• Leadership (direct and indirect) to the FP&A community, and work in partnership with the Finance Transformation Programme to establish a new FP&A Target Operating Model.
• Drive continuous improvement, build finance capacity and advise and influence senior stakeholders on FP&A and business decision-making
• Parter with key stakeholders in the UK and globally ensuring FP&A supports business strategy
• Lead the development and implementation of the Global FP&A Processes and Reporting Tools, working closely with the Finance Transformation team
• Champion all global transformation initiatives to dive standardisation of processes, and maximising opportunities to drive efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead, manage and develop high performing team members, ensuring opportunities for learning and development, supports innovation and test and learn strategies
• Lead the implementation of the digital roadmap, including the development of the digital content strategy and upskilling colleagues across the organisation in digital
• Work with colleagues across the organisation to plan and deliver brand building and fundraising marketing campaigns, support the digital team to manage schedules across social and web content and oversee the production of high quality, accurate and engaging digital content
