ISEAL are looking for someone with expertise in climate change, nature and biodiversity to join a small but growing area of work. This role will contribute to the design and delivery of ISEAL’s scaling strategy to unlock investment and market incentives for smallholders and small-scale producers, grounded in robust climate, biodiversity and nature outcomes data.
The Associate Manager will play a critical role in delivering ISEAL projects in the context of climate, nature and measurement related to delivering value to small scale producers and small and medium enterprises. The role will collaborate closely with ISEAL’s internal programme teams, community members, and technical partners to assess the feasibility, impact potential, and scalability of climate and nature-related innovations developed and tested within the ISEAL community. Developing an understanding of company and investor sustainability objectives, the role will contribute to building confidence in sustainability outcome data and increase willingness to pay or invest in the transition to sustainable land and resource management by producing enterprises.
To be considered, candidates will bring solid knowledge of climate, nature and biodiversity, particularly related to small-scale agricultural producers, and a keen interest to build on this in the context of voluntary sustainability standards. Experienced in convening stakeholders on technical topics, the ideal person will bring strong data analysis skills and an ability to produce communications accessible to different audiences.

The key responsibilities we entrust you with
Project delivery
- Support senior colleagues with designing and planning project activities related to market-based incentives, climate, biodiversity and nature
- Deliver assigned project activities and key outputs across a range of projects
- Lead or contribute to technical workshops and focused discussions with community members and external partners on data collection and delivery models for environmental and social outcomes
- Support engagement with private and financial sector actors to understand demand for credible, consistent sustainability outcome data
- Contribute to broader stakeholder dialogues and strategic partnerships that position ISEAL systems as trusted and credible sources of sustainability data for policy, corporate, and financial stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with ISEAL’s internal programme teams, community members, and technical partners to assess the feasibility, impact potential, and scalability of climate and nature-related innovations developed and tested within the ISEAL community
Research, analysis, synthesis and writing
- Carry out background research through stakeholder interviews, peer learning workshops and meetings, and literature and document reviews, synthesizing key points and lessons
- Produce technical documents, guidance notes, and simplified communications and tools to deliver key insights, guidance, and messages to different audiences
- Develop and communicate technical insights, case studies, and lessons learned from ISEAL members and technical partners
- Contribute to internal knowledge products and external publications that enhance the visibility and credibility of the ISEAL community’s work in the climate and nature space.
Knowledge sharing & external engagement
- Deliver webinars to share project related learnings with ISEAL community members
- Engage with external stakeholders in the climate space to capture evolving trends, and other opportunities for the work
- Participate in relevant ISEAL hosted communities of practice e.g., data community of practice
- Participate in the external spaces and events focused on market-based incentives, climate, biodiversity and nature outcomes
Innovation Fund and community coordination
- Support ISEAL’s Innovations Fund by serving as a technical programme resource for projects related to climate and nature, while helping to consolidate and synthesize lessons learned across grants
- Take a coordinating role in convening ISEAL’s climate and nature community, facilitating learning exchange and collaboration across the ISEAL membership.
Experience, Knowledge and Attributes
- Existing working knowledge of climate, nature and biodiversity and related regulations and trends
- Understanding of corporate sustainability objectives, reporting, metrics and outcome methodologies
- Understanding of the theory and methodology behind GHG accounting, SBTI initiatives and carbon removal methodologies and how use of these translate into practice
- Understanding of the impacts of climate change on primary (particularly small-scale) agricultural production and how producers can adapt to these changes to mitigate these impacts
- Good understanding of international and/or rural development Proven ability to analyse large sources of information and to identify and summarise the most important points in accessible language
- Experience in facilitating sessions and workshops, working with stakeholders to reach consensus decisions
- Good time management and ability to efficiently organise and deliver multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to work independently, including in a remote work environment, and to ask for clarification/direction when needed
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote, international environment, including occasional international time-zone calls
- Proficient IT skills, familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g. Teams, Zoom, etc.)

The Academic Registry team, one of the sub-teams within programme management, is responsible for ensuring that participants’ academic programme journeys are well-administered. The team are responsible for areas such as academic policies and processes (including for assessment and student records), along with several other operational aspects of Frontline’s academic provision, from attending and preparing data for examination boards or exceptional circumstances panels, to liaising with external markers.
The Academic Programmes Administrator will work to contribute to a first-class participant experience on the Approach Social Work programme. The post holder will be required to be flexible and adaptable in response to diverse requirements in the wider team through the academic year. A high standard of customer service is expected throughout, including at peak periods.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Act as first point of contact for queries from various stakeholders, working closely with regional delivery teams to ensure that applicants, participants and Fellows (our programme alumni) are fully supported with the information they need
- Service online and in-person meetings as required, including scheduling, circulating papers, coordinating breakout sessions and writing minutes.
- Provide support to the academic registrar for all registry functions, including the recording of assessment outcomes and preparation for exam boards

The Restart Project helps people transform their relationship with electronics by supporting groups to teach repair at community events, developing fixing spaces and campaigning for a Right to Repair and better waste policy. We are looking for a strong project manager to be our new Fixing Factory Co-Lead.
What is a Fixing Factory? Fixing Factories do what they say on the tin! We help people fix their broken electricals and learn new fixing skills, shifting us from our current take-make-waste linear system towards a repair economy fit for the future. They generate public interest in repair. Through a series of stepping stone activities, we take people from never having looked inside an electrical item towards, if they wish, fixing for others.
The Fixing Factories is a partnership between The Restart Project and Possible, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. It launched in April 2022 with two initial sites in Brent (now closed) and Camden. After the initial development grant we secured funding to continue the Camden site, and open and mature three additional sites in London, including one which has already opened in Hackney, with a proportion of our focus being on long-term financial self-sustainability and scaling the model across the UK. The Restart Project is leading on the delivery of two sites, one in Hackney and another future London location (4th site), whilst Possible lead on the established Fixing Factory in Camden and an upcoming Haringey site.
Each new Fixing Factory site will grow and nurture a community of repairers, be strongly linked with local residents and stakeholders, and be driven by engaged teams of volunteers. There will be a range of offers; from free community repair events to paid workshops and retail - as we develop a replicable model which will support our long term goal of ‘a Fixing Factory in every high street’.
About the role
The focus of this role will be overseeing the Hackney Fixing Factory, launching a 4th site (subject to funding), and working with existing repair group communities, the council, and other partners in those areas. You will be bringing to life an already developed business model, ensuring that the Fixing Factories are run in a safe, effective and financially sustainable way, as well as responding to the needs of the community and continuing to strategically develop the Fixing Factories programme.
You will be working with the Fixing Factory workshop managers, who are responsible for day to day operations at the sites, ensuring income generation targets are being met, driving the development of our accredited skills and training programme with support from consultants and ensuring the Fixing Factories are scalable and replicable.

This role involves a combination of strategic development of the overarching Fixing Factories project, on which you’ll work closely with a counterpart at Possible, oversight of the two sites that Restart is responsible for and the workshop managers that manage their day to day operations.

· Support mapping and research exercises to inform our policy positioning. Writing summary reports as needed.
· Collaborate with the National Volunteer Engagement Manager to support the inclusion of volunteer and community voices in our policy and public affairs work.
· Assist with collecting impact and activity data from across the charity and work with the Data Analyst to undertake analysis.
· Support with routine collection of quarterly data from projects - ensuring responses are timely and accurate, providing guidance to project managers as needed.
· Work with project staff to help create impactful and engaging reports.
· Represent Volunteering Matters at charity and volunteering policy-related groups.
Essential Skills
· Understanding of UK political systems and policy-making processes across national, devolved, and local levels.

Job Context
Our Global Strategy marks a significant evolution in our organisational direction, introducing innovative approaches and renewed priorities. This includes our first-ever global Theory of Change (ToC), our most comprehensive Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework to date, a Research and Innovation strategy, and a dedicated Advocacy sub-strategy to guide our influencing efforts.
With the Lepra Advocacy Strategy, we will be working over the next 6 years to strengthen our approaches to our advocacy efforts. The post holder will play a key role in supporting the roll out of the Advocacy strategy working closely with the Director of Programmes and Advocacy, the Head of Research, the Senior Programme Manager, the Programme Officer and the teams where we work.
Job Purpose
This role is an exciting role within the programmes team in response to evolving needs. The incoming post holder will work within the 5 person UK’s Programme and Advocacy team and will drive, advise and support the team in relation to Lepra’s advocacy profile. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, strategic and creative person who has outstanding skills to engage and work with a diverse team. Key responsibilities
Advocacy Delivery (50%)
Under the supervision of the DPA implement Lepra’s global Advocacy strategy and coordinate advocacy initiatives.
Serve as the driver of advocacy efforts, facilitating the transitional year of implementation including coordinating the Advocacy Steering Group; advocacy toolkit development; action planning.
Represent Lepra in specific fora and advocacy networks and within the broader leprosy and NTD community in close coordination with the DPA.
Produce quarterly advocacy newsletters
Maintain quarterly reports on flagging areas of concern and actioning steering committee advice.
Assist in the preparation of policy documents and the presentation of papers for publication, conferences, or specific institutions and/or individuals - identifying and targeting the most appropriate audiences.
Support and contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives that foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse environment across organisational programmes, policies, and advocacy efforts.
Support and contribute to initiatives that promote inclusion and equity, with a strong focus on developing the leadership and advocacy capacity of people with lived experience of leprosy, ensuring their voices are central in decision-making and programme design.
Knowledge management / Learning and Development (20%)
Support the preparation of Lepra advocacy and policy documents.
Disseminate knowledge so that it is integrated into Lepra’s portfolio to amplify the impact for target audiences and improve their outcomes.
Facilitate the new knowledge and learning hub and forge a clear path for its evolution.
Facilitate knowledge sharing through updating the communications team with relevant materials for the new programme folder on the website.
Organise and develop advocacy training.
Develop and take ownership of the new programme’ s team knowledge sharing approaches.

Communications (10%)
Assist the programmes team with the documentation of Lepra examples and models of best practice, at the same time identifying and developing mechanisms and avenues for the effective dissemination of this knowledge – internally and externally.
Assist the programmes team, DPO, Chief Executive and Country Programme staff in the synthesis of complex technical/scientific information adapting it to language and formats easily used by target audiences.
Contribute to content development of community engagement materials (public information, brochures, leaflets) that help explain the operations and impact of Lepra’s work to LF and/or leprosy affected communities.
Maintain good working links with Lepra’s UK Fundraising and Communications Team, contributing towards UK facing communications materials as and when required.
Prepare updates, papers, and reports for trustee meetings, funding partners, and wherever else applicable.
External representation (10%)
Support the Chief Executive, DPA and programmes team to maintain and expand existing strategic relationships with key international stakeholders to further Lepra’s advocacy strategy and advance Lepra’s agenda.
Ensure Lepra’s external profile is raised and become the go-to organisation for the leprosy community in terms of advocacy and policy briefings.
Support the preparation of documents for presentation, publication or dissemination at international fora.
Develop/support the development of country specific briefing notes/press kits with the communications team.
