The Trusts Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading, developing and growing the fledgling trusts fundraising programme, securing income from new and existing supporters, and working across the organisation to develop compelling applications and to demonstrate the impact of our work.

Job purpose  

To lead on fundraising from trusts and foundations to deliver and grow long-term, sustainable income

Key responsibilities  

• Lead on the development and delivery of the trusts fundraising strategy to generate agreed annual targets in line with DCC’s plans. 
• Be the charity’s expert in trust fundraising, advising other departments on work relating to this area. 
• Focus on new business, implementing systems, tools and procedures to proactively identify new funders. 
• Develop and enhance relationships with existing supporters, delivering first-class stewardship and securing repeat support as appropriate. 
• Lead on the development of creative, inspiring and professional proposals and reports to funders. 
• Set, monitor and report on income and expenditure budgets, key performance indicators and the annual work plan. 
• Work with colleagues across the organisation to support ongoing delivery and development of the trusts fundraising programme. 
• Act as an ambassador for DCC representing the charity externally.
• Ensure all supporter records are kept up-do-date on the database and adhere to all relevant legislative and regulatory obligations relating to fundraising. 
• Carry out other duties commensurate with this post as requested.

As Lead, Management Accountant, you will:

- Prepare monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts

- Compile Balance sheet reconciliations

- Prepare quarterly Project Income and Expenditure reports for Project Managers

- Prepare interim/final financial Project reports for submission to Funders

- Prepare quarterly VAT returns

- Provide accurate and timely financial information to support the organisational financial strategy and decision-making process

The successful applicant will:

- Have demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role

- Be Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or Part qualified on final stage

- Have a strong understanding of charity accounting principles, including SORP

- Have experience of managing financial ledgers, systems and processes

- Have strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and the ability to manage large amounts of data

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

As Events Fundraising Officer (Third Party & OYO) you’ll support the growth, development, and delivery of our Third Party Events portfolio. Each of the Events Fundraising Officer roles will lead on different events including the London Marathon, Manchester Marathon and the official charity partnership with the AJ Bell Great Run Series.

You’ll work across multiple events to help us to give our participants and supporters the best possible events experience. This will enable us to build lasting connections with our cause and contribute to the £12million our team is projected to raise this financial year, with the wider Events team set to raise £22million. This is a rewarding role which helps to raise vital funds to support the lives of people affected by dementia.

These roles are all home-based, however you will be asked to travel and attend events in-person and occasionally across weekends throughout the year (travel expenses paid for by the Society).

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience managing projects and/or events, with the ability to stay organised and prioritise your workload effectively. You’ll have experience of financial management and budgeting in relation to a project or an event.

Crucially, you’ll be able to build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. You’ll be an effective communicator with experience producing and managing marketing or stewardship communications. You’ll also have the ability to collaborate successfully with others to deliver successful events that enable us to achieve targets.

- Organising, planning and delivering Third Party events successfully, providing the best possible experience for our participants.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Active Journeys team as our new Project Officer. 

As the Project Officer you will be required to play a dynamic role in delivering a variety of walking, wheeling, and cycling projects that make a real difference to people's lives. 

In this varied role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering practical activities for young people in schools, supporting the implementation of School Streets to create safer and healthier environments, and working closely with the National Cycle Network and Infrastructure teams on community engagement for related schemes. You will engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships to ensure the successful delivery of projects, and will also be responsible for integrating Sustrans volunteers into your work to help maximise impact and community involvement. 

This role involves regular travel, with work taking place at different locations to support and deliver projects for the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.

We ask that you have experience in the following areas: 

• Experience of managing small clearly defined projects or experience of delivering work packages as part of a project.

Fundraising Communications Writer

Position Objective:

To produce persuasive, high-volume fundraising copy – including proposals for recurring and prospective major donors – that inspires support for PETA and other PETA entities. This is a fast-paced, varied role for a sharp, adaptable writer who thrives under pressure. You’ll be juggling multiple projects, switching tones with ease, and delivering clean, compelling copy quickly and independently. Salary:

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Write compelling proposals for existing donors and new prospects, tailored to specific interests and relationships
• Draft and revise donor correspondence, including responses to member and prospect inquiries, form letters, acknowledgement letters, and scheduled/ad hoc impact reports
• Develop copy for direct mailings and email appeals, blog pages,  and other fundraising copy to support donor engagement and acquisition
• Liaise with colleagues to gather donor insights, align on strategy, and manage workflow
• Edit and review work from requestors, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with PETA’s voice
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

 

Qualifications:

• Professional writing experience, ideally in fundraising, journalism, digital platforms, or advocacy
• Experience writing proposals, appeals, acknowledgments, and donor communication highly desirable
• Proven ability to write quickly, clearly, and persuasively for diverse audiences
• Experience using Asana, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office
• Strong command of English grammar
• Thorough knowledge of animal liberation issues and PETA entity campaigns
• Excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and knack for applying feedback quickly
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet rush deadlines without compromising quality
• Professional, collaborative approach to working with colleagues and donors
• Demonstrated initiative and follow-through
• Support for PETA’s philosophy and commitment to the organisation’s objectives

Programme Manager - Independent Living Services

Every two hours, someone is paralysed by spinal cord injury. Aspire is a national charity providing practical support to ensure all those affected can move from injury to independence.

Aspire’s Independent Living Service supports around 600 patients a year, with our team of Advisors working in the NHS's specialist hospitals to provide advice and support directly to those who are newly injured.

We’re looking for someone to manage our national team team and ensure our service meets the needs of the patients who use us. We need someone with excellent organisational skills, able to tackle the day to day requirements of managing a remote team and who can produce the annual budgets and business plans for the service. You'll also be an excellent communicator, comfortable building relationships across the organisation and with key external partners. Experiencing of delivering or managing a support service would be an advantage.
