Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Community Fundraising Lead to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of

fundraising and communications, working across both teams to leverage our community to generate

income and lead community fundraising campaigns and initiatives. We're looking for someone with a

proven track record in generating community income, who is passionate about the value of creative

and alternative revenue streams, and who will play a vital part in helping us raise the funds needed to

deliver our mission of eradicating rape culture.

Key Responsibilities

This role will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities

• Grow income from trusts, foundations, communities, businesses, and individuals

• Develop and write fundraising applications

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of fundraising prospects, building relationships and ensuring repeat support

At Betknowmore UK, we work to prevent and reduce gambling-related harm through support, education, training and community engagement, embracing the insight and knowledge of 'Experts by Experience' alongside evidence-based approaches. As our Head of Support Services, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across our Triage, Peer Aid, New Beginnings and Affected Other teams, and lead the development of a strong, sustainable London-based service offer that establishes our presence and reach across the capital.

Reporting to the Director of Services and leading a team of service managers, you'll ensure our services are safe, effective, person-centred and delivered to a consistently high standard, while strengthening pathways into and through support and ensuring services meet their contractual, quality and impact objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Providing operational oversight and leadership across our peer support services, with effective line management of service managers and direct reports
• Maintaining oversight of service demand, capacity, waiting times and service user pathways, and addressing operational risks and barriers to delivery
• Monitoring service performance, quality and outcomes, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Ensuring safeguarding and risk management procedures are understood and consistently applied, and that trauma-informed, person-centred principles are embedded in practice

What we're looking for

• We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:
• Lived experience of addiction-related harms, either directly or as an affected other
• Significant management experience within mental health, social care, addiction, recovery, peer support or a related field
• Experience leading complex support services and managing service managers or multidisciplinary teams
• Strong experience of performance management, service improvement and workforce leadership
• A good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and safe service delivery
• Experience working within commissioned or contract-funded services
• The ability to use data and evidence to improve performance and outcomes
• Strong communication, leadership and partnership-working skills, with a commitment to lived experience-led and person-centred practice

A degree-level qualification (or equivalent professional qualification) and substantial senior leadership experience in a relevant field such as mental health, public health or social care is essential. Lived experience of gambling harms, management experience within gambling harms services, experience within NHS or statutory commissioning, and knowledge of NICE guidance, CQC standards or comparable quality frameworks would all be advantageous.

This is a new senior role, which will support and enable our Psychosocial Services for families at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. We are looking for an arts therapist, psychotherapist, paediatric clinical psychologist or counsellor with management and service development experience in areas of quality and education.

About the role

This role will focus on ensuring our care is a safe as it can be, and the best that children and families can receive. The PSOQE Lead will help us to continue to develop our governance, our psychosocial education pathway and wellbeing support for our people. The role includes day-to-day clinical oversight of the teams, and of families in crisis.

Where service need allows, the PSOQE will have a small clinical caseload, proportionate to the post holder's professional background and area of expertise, ensuring continued clinical credibility, visibility and direct engagement with families.

The PSOQE Lead will be part of our Psychosocial Leadership Team and will act as a deputy to the Head of Psychosocial Services.

We’re looking for a professionally qualified and registered senior clinician with strong experience of working with children, young people and families, who can provide compassionate leadership across psychosocial services. They will bring expertise in trauma, bereavement, safeguarding, mental health risk and service development, and be able to strengthen practice, quality, education and outcomes through collaborative, inclusive and evidence-informed leadership.

This is a post based at both hospice sites in Hampton and Guildford.

What does this role do?

As a Marketing Strategy Analyst, you will:

• lead the design, creation, and ongoing maintenance of a measurement framework for all Marketing and Communications activity, defining KPIs across these metrics, working closely with teams across the division to align on objectives and outcomes,

The Job

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

• Identifying training, learning and development opportunities or needs 

• Developing learning resources, including e-learning and guidance documents

• Managing MA learn, the MA's learning management system (LMS) 

• Overseeing the MA's community outreach programme (Magistrates in the Community) 

• Coordinating MA input into wider magistrate training, both nationally and through representation on local training committees. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

Policy committees 

• Support the MA’s training, learning and development committee by organising regular meetings, sharing minutes and actions. 

• Propose priorities and manage programmes of work for the committee 

• Provide high-quality information to ensure that committee members and other interested parties are up to date with relevant information 

• Ensure agreed actions and decisions of the policy committees are implemented 

• Build and maintain excellent relationships with committee members 

• Provide support to committee members to enable them to effectively contribute to the work of the MA 

• Assist in the training and development of committee members 

• Agree and implement committee working practices. 

• Contribute to supporting the MA's other policy committees 

Volunteer support 

• Support  representatives in post 

• Work with magistrates to develop and coordinate learning materials 

Learning 

• Develop and upload learning resources to our learning platform. 

• Be the first point of contact for member queries about our learning platform and other training related matters 

• With the membership team, liaise with external stakeholders to plan and deliver the MA's webinar series

• Edit webinar footage and create transcripts to upload to MA learn

• Monitor learner behaviour on the MA learn and use this to inform learning development plans. 

Policy and research 

• Provide input to proposed policy and research work 

• Work with policy colleagues to translate research and policy into learning materials. 

Communications 

• Work closely with the communications team to support the delivery of the MA’s learning communications, both for members and externally 

• Ensure the accuracy of training information contained in MA communications outputs 

• Contribute to our Magistrate magazine, newsletters, website content, social media and press releases. 

Membership 

• Support the work of the MA’s membership team to recruit and retain members

• Assist in responding to members’ queries and provide up to date information about training and learning issues. 

Other duties 

• Contribute to team meetings, organisational strategy and priorities 

• Be proactive in keeping up to date with developments affecting the role 

• Contribute to other organisational tasks, such as support for our webinars and events on occasion.

About The Job

Working within the Marketing and Communications Team and closely alongside colleagues across the organisation, the postholder will develop and deliver compelling content that supports campaigns, fundraising, influencing and engagement activity. They will gather stories from carers and Network Partners, create and coordinate digital content across multiple platforms, and help ensure our communications remain creative, timely and audience-focused.

The role will also play an important part in ensuring the voices, experiences and achievements of unpaid carers are at the heart of Carers Trust's communications. Job Title: Office Manager & Business Support, Core Group

Reports to: Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFOO)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £50,400 - £57,000, depending on experience

Location: Office based - London, Old Street (EC1Y)

The Opportunity:

This is a dual-remit role combining ownership of our office environment with high quality support to our Core group.  The Core group is the c.40-person team that brings together the firm’s central support services

The successful candidate will be the person who keeps our single-floor, c.60-desk open plan office running smoothly day-to-day, and who provides reliable ‘EA-type’ support to the CFOO and the heads of the Core group’s sub-teams.  The role is fundamentally service-orientated: you will be the first person colleagues and visitors turn to, and your standards will set the tone for how the Core group serves the organisation.

This is a varied, high-trust role for someone who wants to be the person that makes things work and who has a desire to provide service that delights. It is a fully on-site role based at our Old Street office, five days a week – and that’s by design. As the person responsible for our workplace experience, your presence is what makes the difference. You’ll build relationships across every team, respond to needs in real time, and take genuine ownership of an environment that our team relies on each day.

What you will do:

Office Management

• Act as the day-to-day owner of our leased office floor, ensuring it is safe, welcoming, well-presented and fully operational at all times.

• Manage the relationship with the landlord and building management on all matters relating to the premises, including access, maintenance, repairs and building-wide communications.

• Manage relationships with our sub-lease tenants.

• Manage relationships with office-related suppliers (cleaners, maintenance contractors, security, plants and caterers) including contract renewals and service level monitoring.

• Manage department budget in line with our Responsible Procurement Policy, carrying out annual budgeting and reforecasting in collaboration with Finance team.

• Oversee office supplies, stationery, kitchen consumables, print and postage, maintaining appropriate stock levels.

• Manage front-of-house: greet visitors, handle deliveries and couriers, and ensure meeting rooms are prepared, tidy and appropriately equipped.

• Support onboarding for new joiners, coordinating with People & Talent, IT and the relevant hiring manager to ensure a smooth first-day experience.

• Manage ad hoc desk bookings for staff and room lends to our sector partners.

• Appointed Health and Safety Officer, coordinating health & safety compliance for the office, including fire safety, evacuation plans, first aid, DSE assessments and relevant risk assessments, working with the People & Talent team as required.

• Support internal events and client hospitality held in the office, from set-up through to catering and clear away.

• Identify and deliver practical improvements to the office environment, employee experience and operational efficiency.

Support to the Core Group

• Provide high-quality ‘EA-type’ support to the CFOO, including diary management, meeting coordination and project support as required.

• Provide proportionate similar support to the senior leaders of the Core group sub-teams (Finance, IT, Legal & Compliance, Middle Office, Transformation), prioritising the activities where your involvement adds the most value.

• Coordinate recurring all-Core Group meetings, working closely with the CFOO and sub-team leaders.

• Organise internal and external meetings on behalf of the group as required, including booking rooms, arranging hospitality and liaising with external parties.

• Prepare and format documents, presentations and correspondence to a high standard, often involving sensitive or confidential material.

• Help plan and run Core Group events, offsites and social activities that bring the team together.

• Act as a discreet, trusted point of contact, handling confidential information with complete professionalism.

Other Support

• Working collegiately within the BSC Support Network team, providing support during busy periods and annual leave and collectively ensuring support needs across the organisation are met.

• Other duties as required.

• Participate in at least one ‘BSC Citizenship’ activity, helping to make BSC a great place to work. This could be helping to organise our summer or winter social, joining the Staff Council or helping across other champion roles

What you will bring - Qualifications & Experience:

Essential

• Demonstrable experience in an office management and/or EA role, ideally in a professional services, financial services or similarly regulated environment.

• Experience of health and safety delivery including office-based risk assessing, trained first aider and/or fire marshal certification and general H&S operational knowledge.

• Prior knowledge or interest in social enterprise, charity or impact related work.

Desirable

• Experience in an FCA-regulated firm or familiarity with the expectations of working in a regulated environment.

• Experience managing external suppliers and budgets.

• Experience supporting multiple senior stakeholders simultaneously.

• Hold IOSH Managing Safely qualification or be willing to work towards it
