The Director of Corporate Partnerships will lead the development of strategic corporate partnerships with key organisations in priority sectors, generating significant income for Kew, influencing and supporting the implementation of nature positive strategies across the business sector and helping to facilitate business voices in influencing key audiences. With your team you will be responsible for building a pipeline of potential partnerships at a variety of levels, including an effective corporate membership scheme, corporate sponsorship and long term project funding.
You will work to lead change across Kew to embrace the full potential of corporate partnerships navigating the organisational and logistical challenges required to deliver long-term transformation. You will be a member of the Development Directorate leadership team and work closely with the Kew Director, Trustees and Development Council to maximise the potential of high-level networks. You will build Kew’s external profile with potential corporate partners, proactively implementing a business development plan and working with key stakeholders such as marketing and comms, science and horticulture to facilitate this. You will carefully steward and grow Kew’s existing corporate partners, foster long term loyal connections.

The purpose of the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for delivering, renewing and evolving new and existing high-value, long-term corporate partnerships. The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.
The role
Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. So the job is to proactively find those local businesses happy to talk to us, understand what they might be looking for by partnering with a charity, share our brilliant story along with the business case (which is strong) for them to get involved with us in some way. We have made an excellent start, we already have a small number of great corporate partners, and this job is about taking it all on to the next level. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. And, ultimately this is all because, the bigger our portfolio of corporate partners all feeling great about their involvement with us, the more able we are to raise the funds we need to keep up with an ever-increasing demand for our services.
About You
You live within - or know well, West/Central London, you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the product or service you’re talking about. You have a CV that demonstrates solid experience in a comparable role in a ‘business-to-business’ environment, a role - the success of which, is dependent on the levels of energy and proactivity you provide. This could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. However, if you have a solid B2B background and want to explore a change of direction you are also very welcome to apply. You are comfortable and confident with working autonomously, you can articulate and ‘bring to life’ your story through your presentation skills. You also need great listening skills so you can build a picture of what each new corporate partner is looking to achieve by signing up to our cause. About MenWalkTalk
MenWalkTalk is a registered charity in England which aims to support an improvement of mental health in men of all ages by engaging in a walking group which is proven to be beneficial to their mental and physical wellbeing. The Stigma around Men’s mental health needs to be broken. MenWalkTalk also aims to reduce social isolation for men and provide signposting to specialist support for those who may be experiencing mental health problems. We want to provide volunteer-led walking groups in every county across England and then the UK. Our volunteers have mental health first aid training as a minimum and their aims are to discuss mental health within their walking groups, in a caring, supportive, and non-judgemental manner. We currently have 22 walk-leaders and 5 campaigners, all of which are volunteers.

We are seeking to hire a self-motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to work with the charity team and to support the activities of the organisation.

In this role you will:
· Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of £50k+ prospects, working with fundraising and operational colleagues to develop high-value, strategic and multi-year opportunities.
- Prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations and other grant making bodies to grow income.
· Account manages key Trusts & Statutory funders, leading on the development of impact reports, and ensuring a bespoke and memorable stewardship experience by developing plans for key funders.

- Excellent written communication skills, with evidence of creating bespoke written proposals and reports for Trusts and Foundations and Statutory grant making bodies.

We’re on the lookout for a Fundraising and Partnership Officer to join our team, someone that can nurture relationships with our existing partners and develop new collaborations, someone who can increase our reach, and importantly, secure funding to do good.
Job Description
Whilst we imagine this job to be split roughly 50:50 between partnership management and fundraising, the truth is that we’re a small team and we all pitch in beyond our job descriptions. Everyone here has good ideas, insight and can offer support in all aspects of our work in some way or another.
Partnerships management:
1. NURTURE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR PARTNERS: Manage and foster excellent relationships with our long-term partners supporting our conservation work in Indonesian Borneo, including NGOs, zoos, corporates and other organisations; extend thanks and provide resources and advice to support them with their activities.
2. SHOUT ABOUT CLIMATE CONSERVATION: Report progress on our conservation work in Indonesian Borneo to long-term partners by drafting high-quality reports in close collaboration and support to our Grants Officer.
Fundraising:
3. SECURE FUNDING TO DO GOOD: Support the development and expansion of BNF International’s fundraising activities by identifying and securing new opportunities and
partnerships, participating in the BNF Global Outreach Team working groups and supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Manager.
4.FUNDRAISE FOR OUR 1 MILLION TREES CAMPAIGN: develop opportunities for the BNF 1 Million Trees Campaign and further reforestation campaigns by identifying dedicated habitat restoration and tree-planting donors globally; introducing our project and establishing partnerships, bringing directors into the conversation as necessary, and managing relationships with donors in the long term.
5. COLLABORATE: Identify and follow-up on new fundraising opportunities which BNF can set up or take part in to widen our reach and encourage members of the public to support or fundraise for BNF, for example by way of BNF-led challenges, charity places in sponsored events, online fundraising and other means of raising funds and awareness.
6.REPRESENT US: Occasionally attend external events to support partnership development and individual giving fundraising.
General:
7.Provide general support across the BNF International organisation and wider BNF family, to all staff and volunteers, to help ensure the efficient, effective and successful running of our activities; and to provide advice and insight to enhance the effectiveness and impact of BNF International.
Please have all or some of the following skills and experience:
-Educated at degree or master’s level in a conservation or related scientific area.
-Previous fundraising experience desirable
-Excellent people skills, enjoy dealing confidently with people at all levels as well as external stakeholders.
-Ability to turn scientific information into content that can be easily understood by non-scientific audiences.
-Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, manage workload and develop the role
