Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
- Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail with excellent customer care
- Priority is to answer incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to Supporter Care Manager
- Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
- Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
- Be responsible for thanking our supporters including by letter, email and phone, despatch of information and fundraising materials
- Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
- Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date this will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
- Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
- Manage removal process and consent process
- Assist with sending out problem payment letters
- Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on Database
- Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests
- Maintain sensitive information and records with appropriate confidentiality
- Play an active role in developing the supporter journey at Operation Smile UK, working with the Supporter Care Manager, Head of Supporter Care & Database, and colleagues across Fundraising & Communications.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Supporter Care Manager or Head of Supporter Care & Database.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders
- Written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent phone manner
- Strong eye for detail, methodical and accurate (critical that the database and supporter details at 100% accurate)
- Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).
- Attitude of continuous improvement, and lifelong learning.
- At least two years’ experience in a junior supporter care or administrative role
- Experience of donation or financial administration and working in a direct marketing environment or supporter care environment desirable with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent proficiency with CRM systems (Ideally Raiser’s Edge) and the ability to learn new systems and processes.
- Experience of outward facing donor stewardship, and relationship building.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and possess problem solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Can work on own initiative and be able to show initiative.

This role will see the successful candidate manage and develop a portfolio of successful national events. You will be involved in all aspects of the project management cycle from marketing and participant recruitment to supporter stewardship and race day logistics. With support of the Senior Fundraising Manager (Events & Community) you will prepare and track budgets for your assigned events and continuously look for opportunities to improve income and participant retention.

Meningitis Research Foundation is based in Bristol, but the role is flexible and is open to remote working with monthly visits to the office (this will need to be more regular during events season). Key Responsibilities
· Manage a portfolio of national events including TCS London Marathon and Great North Run executing the planning, delivery and evaluation of these events
· Inspire individuals with a connection to the cause to take on events for Meningitis Research Foundation to support our vision of a world free from meningitis
· Deliver marketing and recruitment strategies to ensure we reach our targeted number of participants for each event

· Seek opportunities to share knowledge and learning with other members of the Events & Community Team
· Identify supporters with high value potential (i.e. corporate or major donor) and ensure they are shared with the Head of Fundraising
· With the support of the Senior Fundraising Manager (Events & Community) create and deliver budgets and KPIs targets for your area ensuring you monitor and report on progress against these budgets and KPIs

The Role

This role will oversee and develop the charity's community fundraising and trade revenues, with a target of £266,000 for 2024. While fostering significant engagement with community supporters and fundraisers, you will lead a dedicated team of two within the Community and Trade team. Responsibilities:
Community fundraising

The position:
You will manage our Volunteer team, requiring exceptional communication, a natural affinity for people management and organisation, and an ability to inspire people to get involved with our work. You will be responsible for the overarching strategy and success of the Volunteer Program.

Hours:
This is a temporary 12 month maternity cover, full-time position over Monday to Friday.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, spanning Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms for the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.
Who you are:
Volunteers will be your passion. You’ll have a deep understanding of the importance of this kind of supporter and how to best steward their specific experience and manage their unique needs. You'll understand how to best manage and recruit volunteers, mobilising our UK wide network effectively both remotely and on the ground in order to create change. You’ll know how to best communicate and engage with them in order to make the most out of their time and efforts. You are someone who wouldn’t ask volunteers to do something you wouldn’t do yourself and you’ll ideally have some kind of experience of campaigning in a paid or voluntary capacity (e.g. attending protests).

Purpose of the role

Responsibilities
Strategic Development
- Identify, propose and lead strategic development opportunities for the organisation. Conduct sector research to ensure that the Foundation’s strategy is data and environment-informed. Keep abreast of political developments in relation to MAT growth and development and investigate emerging opportunities in the field. Produce feasibility studies for prospective longer-term growth and development options in line with the overall Foundation Strategy.
- Develop and maintain an organisational analysis, including undertaking and presenting research on potential joiner schools and strategic partners, such as for joint ventures and new initiatives. Champion the Foundation Office’s adoption of Microsoft Viva Goals and the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework across various leadership groups, leveraging the platform as a tool for collaboration and strategic planning. This includes the delivery of training workshops and either leading or overseeing regular check-ins. Monitor and track major projects across the Foundation, supporting colleagues where required with project management oversight, visibility of key activity and effective resource allocation. Project Management and Reporting
- Have oversight of and manage the methodology, quality assurance and compliance of major organisational projects, ensuring that these projects are well-planned and well-executed, with appropriate approval, resourcing and evaluation. With the support of others, embed effective reporting processes across the organisation so that the Foundation Executive Committee and governance Groups, Committees and Boards benefit from a comprehensive schedule of reported information.
Growth Projects
- Conduct growth research with a focus on the current educational and political climate, looking to the Department of Education and West Midlands Regional Directorate for changes and updates to relevant policy. In the event of an academy conversion, transfer, or merger, the postholder would also undertake the following duties: Convene and manage a project group comprised of representatives from the school, the Academy Trust and Birmingham City Council if appropriate. Manage all project documentation (including a comprehensive and regularly updated project plan, a register of risks and issues, an action tracker, project meeting notes, and reports to Trustees). Lead a thorough due diligence process. Support the incoming school to run a consultation process. Liaise with the Academy Trust’s legal advisers, Birmingham City Council, the DfE and other parties to bring about the completion of necessary land transfers, funding agreements, commercial transfer agreements and any required supplementary agreements. Reporting to Opportunity Green’s Legal Director, you will be leading our sustainable finance legal interventions, with an initial focus on the aviation and shipping sectors, and you will be responsible for developing our sustainable finance workstream.
You will be joining at an exciting time, as the team takes forward various legal actions and looks to develop new interventions. You will be working at the cutting edge of climate law in new and emerging areas, and will be required to identify and develop strategic legal action ideas that could help to drive change across the full legal lifecycle, from delivering policy-level change, to crystallizing the financial risk of investment in inadequate climate action, to shifting the investment profile of ineffective transition activities through bringing corporate accountability and greenwashing actions.

The successful candidate will be offered an annual salary of £60,000 plus 10% employer-contributed pension. Please note that Opportunity Green has fixed salary scales, with the possibility of step increases with strong performance. What happens next?
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview to discuss their experience and suitability for the role. After this, candidates that are most suitable for the vacancy will be invited for an in-person interview in our London office, for which there may also be a short task. Travel will be reimbursed for non-London-based applicants (within the UK).

Raise Your Hands supports a platform of 16 exceptional small charities that improve the lives of children & young people around the UK.
We fundraise on behalf of the small charities on our platform, targeting donors that would normally be out of their reach. We do this by innovating in the fundraising space with a particular focus on corporate partnerships and pioneering events.
We work a lot with the finance sector, and we aim to produce communications that cut through and offer a fresh voice in this space.
Requirements
We’re looking for an experienced senior marketer from a B2B or charity corporate fundraising context who will embrace non-traditional approaches and test new ideas. Drawing inspiration from both within and beyond the charity sector, you’ll take our marketing strategy to the next level.
This role would suit someone who believes in the power of words to inspire positive action and has an eye for solid design principles.
The successful candidate will enjoy versatility and the creativity that comes from working in a small team with big ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
- Lead on meeting the relevant organisational objectives in RYH Strategic Plan.
- Shape overall messaging and brand development
- Coordinate strategic content planning and campaign management.
- Editorial oversight of digital assets, copy, design and brand
- Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts to make data-driven decisions.
Digital Marketing and Campaign Management:
- Deliver on existing Corporate Marketing Plan and develop it further
- Test new ideas for multi-channel marketing strategies
- Manage a lean budget and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Use ABM to identify high-value prospects and optimise targeted marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships Manager on lead generation and donor stewardship.
Content Creation and Management:
- Ensure consistent tone and messaging across all channels.
- Oversee the creation of engaging content, including articles, website updates, newsletters, social posts, pitch decks, and fundraising collateral.
- Apply UX design principles and optimise content for SEO, social media, and donor conversion.
Fundraising Product Development:
- Lead the testing of potential fundraising products, such as new events or stewardship packages.
- Work with the Founder to pilot prototypes and assess their efficacy
