About the Role
We currently have a variety of volunteer roles including Fundraising Volunteers, Information Hub Volunteers (who support the Charity Hubs around the hospitals), and event volunteers. The organisation would like to grow the volunteer roles and introduce official Fundraising groups across The East of England to the portfolio.
These are ambitious plans and targets for the charity over the next five years – and volunteers play a huge part in that vision.
Successfully delivering this exciting new fundraising strategy is only possible with a strong team of engaged volunteers – and that is only possible if there are the right volunteer fundraisers in the team.
If successful, you will be working closely with colleagues to identify opportunities for volunteering across events, assisting fundraisers out in the community, setting up fundraising committees, and sourcing income generation opportunities at local community events. You will also be responsible for growing the pool of volunteers allowing presence across the hospital, promoting the work and impact of the charity.
You will also be responsible for co-ordinating the exciting new Hubs within the Hospital programme– ensuring that they are adequately staffed by excellent volunteers who are highly trained, and that are providing an excellent patient experience, in these crucial front-of-house opportunities.

About Community Counselling:
The charity was established in 2013. It provides free therapeutic interventions such as counselling, play and creative art therapy, and EMDR (trauma) treatment to vulnerable people living in North Yorkshire, including children who have been the victim of crime. The clinical team consists of over 30 part-time practitioners, being a mixture of staff, volunteers (including trainees) and sessional workers. Last year we helped over 800 people with a wide range of mental health issues.

The Community Fundraisers steward relations with Individual fundraisers, schools, community groups, in memory and challenge eventers. As Trust Fundraiser, you'll be primarily focussed on raising funds through trusts and foundations to help Chuf deliver their ambitious 2024-27 fundraising strategy. A good chunk of this will be project based. You'll also be part of the Chuf fundraising team, so you'll be getting involved with all income generating activities. This will include assisting in the delivery of Chuf's in Memory Giving strategy through maintaining donors and providing fantastic stewardship. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for securing six-figure major gifts from individuals in a charity environment to meet ambitious targets. About the Role
The Events Fundraiser will support the charity’s aim to provide all life-limited children, their families, and carers, within their hospice, emotional support through the power and pleasure of nature. The post holder will be responsible for generating income through the management of a range of fundraising events, as well as supporting individuals organising their own fundraising activities within their community and/or corporate environment.
You will ensure efficient event management and administration as well as provide excellent supporter care.
The Event Fundraiser will:
- Project manage a range of events, including planning, marketing, and supporter stewardship, through to event delivery and evaluation.
- Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver and schedule events, on time, within budget, meeting fundraising goals.
- Deliver exceptional supporter care to those who support the work of the charity.
- Plan and deliver events, including logistics, briefing of stakeholders and volunteers, compiling risk assessments and any other tasks relevant to ensuring an excellent supporter experience.
- Ensure the supporter database is accurate and up to date, as well as follow all relevant financial processes to ensure event income and expenditure are accurately recorded.
- Report fortnightly to the Director of Fundraising & Communications on agreed fundraising targets and activity.
- Be responsible for ensuring relevant community and events pages, news, and forms on the Greenfingers website are accurate and up to date.
- Work collaboratively with the team.

- Manage the fundraising processes and supporter journeys, making improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

- Keeping the website fresh and up-to-date.
- Expand visibility of the charity in the local communities where our work is based.

- Develop an operational fundraising plan to grow regular giving.
- Undertake regular communications with donors to include newsletters, fundraising materials and updates.
In order to be successful, you must have experienced :
- In Community or challenge events fundraising
- Supporting and engaging with donors
- Developing tailored supporter journeys through email, phone and written communications
- Excellent communication skills written and oral
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Well organised with ability to successfully manage competing priorities
