This is a permanent, remote working role with a salary of £29,757 per annum, pro rata. We welcome applications for 40 hours full time or 32 hours (0.8 full time equivalent) including breaks. Your responsibilities will include recording transactions, processing invoices, expense claims and grants, administering the charity’s bank accounts, payroll, and audits.

At Qube we are working in partnership to make a difference in Shropshire by providing volunteer brokerage and governance support to voluntary groups and organisations.

The role of the Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer is to support the Volunteer and Infrastructure Team Lead within the Voluntary and Community Support team providing high quality information, support and expertise in infrastructure support opportunities available to groups and organisations within Shropshire.

They will promote volunteering and encourage new volunteers to come forward for the benefit of Shropshire groups, organisations and communities. Provide governance advice, support, and guidance to local community/charitable groups and organisations, including support to staff/volunteer managers on volunteer recruitment and retention and develop working relationships with community led/based local groups to support future growth and sustainability.

Gaddum is looking for a qualified PWP to join our well-established Talking Therapies team operating in Manchester and expand our offer for clients. You will work alongside a team of dedicated counsellors within a stepped care model to provide initial assessments and a range of NICE approved low intensity interventions for common mental health problems, including one-to-one work and the potential for groupwork.

You will be skilled in delivering low intensity therapy, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload, and will have successfully completed an approved IAPT PWP Post Graduate Certificate (or be near to qualification with all elements of the course successfully passed/on track to qualify on time).

The Young People Programme Manager will work with the Creative Learning team at Factory International to develop, deliver and manage programmes of work with young people between the ages of 14 and 30. This role will be responsible for the delivery of key strategic partnerships with commercial brands, as well as developing new streams of work with a focus on sharing power through curatorial programme decision making, programming and youth governance.

Creative Learning develop and deliver learning programs with young people and children from Cradle to Creative (the age of 0 through to 30) with a focus on underrepresented children, young people and artists. All of our programmes have a social and emotional learning outcome and focus on improving mental health, wellbeing and resilience. Learning programmes are linked to Factory International artistic commissions with wider curatorial themes drawn out to align with social and emotional frameworks.

In the last 12 months, the team has worked with over 25,000 children and young people across Greater Manchester and the North.
 

Young People Programme Manager Responsibilities;

• Develop and deliver innovative, ambitious and transformational programmes for young people with a focus on wellbeing, mental health, and social/emotional learning
• Work with young people to develop their ideas into world class artistic productions
• Manage key strategic relationships, advocate and widen networks for our work across sectors including commercial, creative, educational, cultural and charitable
• Locate, recruit and manage some of the most exciting artists working locally, nationally and internationally to deliver on programmes, with a focus on artists that are underrepresented
• Manage resources for the delivery of programmes including financial and human
• Develop and manage sustained relationships with schools, colleges, universities, youth zones and informal education providers across Greater Manchester/North of England
• Keep abreast of the local, national and international artistic commissions, policy and landscape for young audiences and represent FI on appropriate forums, meetings and events
• Manage monitoring and evaluation processes from the beginning to the end of the cycle of a project embedding learning from the outset to completion
• Contribute to Factory International’s strategies for creative learning more broadly, specifically the engagement of young people in areas of low cultural engagement.
   

Young People Programme Manager Person Specification;

ESSENTIAL

• Drive and imagination to create impactful, curatorial driven, youth led and person centred programmes that match the ambition of Factory International
• Growth mindset, humility and willingness to get things wrong
• Experience facilitating with young people, including consensus building and/or co-creation
• Experience in programming, creative direction or curating
• Experience in developing and delivering a range of creative projects, including experience developing programmes/projects from an idea into a reality
• Experience of successfully managing resources including logistical, human and financial
• Knowledge and experience of mental health and wellbeing work with young people
• Broad knowledge and network in the creative, commercial and youth landscape
• Ability to communicate and build trust with a diverse range of stakeholders and demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, organise multiple programmes of work effectively and efficiently with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a knowledge of cultural competency including a broad understanding of the challenges people and communities across Manchester face
• Willing to get take relevant statutory checks eg DBS (Factory International can support with processing and payment)

DESIRABLE

• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for a wide range of arts and cultural products
• Knowledge and experience funding landscape for youth projects
• Knowledge and experience working with a social and emotional learning framework
• Facilitation experience in non-traditional education settings – Youth Zones, PRUs

The important stuff 

Salary: £26,000, pro rata (£20,800)

Hours: 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday –Thursday, Part-time (with some flexibility and occasional evening or weekend work for events such as Spear Celebrations)

Key Responsibilities

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network.

Oversight of Spear Programme

• As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education.

Line Management and training

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development
• Be line managed by Resurgo to support with the set-up and ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPIs.

Church Community

• The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Alive Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members and help the Spear Coach to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme
• Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services.

Site management and set-up

• Work with the Church to set up the training room and IT infrastructure for the new Spear Centre in advance of opening
• Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies.
