Key Responsibilities:

Lead on the implementation and development of supporter journeys, including thanking, showcasing impact and responding to queries.

Create engaging content for newsletters, emails, socials, and other communication channels.

This activity will involve rolling out training solutions to scale and geographical dispersed individuals so you should have excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and be solutions focused. Project management experience would be advantageous for this role.

Harris Hill is seeking an Interim Corporate Fundraiser to help identify, research, and engage new corporate prospects.

The role is 3 months, 3-5dpw and are offering up to £200 per day. This can be worked as a freelancer billing directly OUTSIDE IR35 or PAYE through the agency. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Research and identify a pipeline of qualified prospective corporate donors who are headquartered in the UK/Europe and have the capacity and propensity to give at the six-figure level.  

Engage and cultivate new high value corporate/corporate foundation donors.

Create compelling propositions which reflect the organisations operational needs and aligns with donor interests.

Work with the Director of Fundraising to plan cultivation events across 2024.

Specific activities:

Identify a long list of UK/Europe headquartered corporate/corporate foundation prospects, with the propensity and capacity to support at the £100K+ level. Categorising those who can fund an specific project (£300k) and those who may be smaller in scale.

Shortlist and screen prospects to create a ‘priority pipeline’ of Corporate prospects whose interests align with organisational mission, and have the capacity to fund a specific project (£300k).

Identify contact details for all priority prospects, always aligning with GDPR.  

Support the Director of Fundraising with targeted outreach and making direct approaches, with the aim to secure an exploratory meeting.

Securing new meetings with 20+ new prospects.

As required, writing compelling proposals relevant to donor interests.

High level proposal submitted on possible cultivation / networking events that they should attend in 2024.

In October 2022 Salford City Council commissioned Salford CVS to undertake research into the strengths of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector as part of their Joint Needs and Strengths Assessment.

Every three years since 2008, Salford CVS leads on State of the VCSE Sector research in Salford and also across Greater Manchester. Working with other local infrastructure organisations, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the VCSE sector. Our last research report was published in 2021 and we have started planning for the research to be conducted this year.

In August 2023 we further developed our VCSE sector research and insight work with the commencement of our Salford 99 longitudinal study. This research project is designed to understand the issues affecting the VCSE sector in Salford and aims to track 99 VCSE organisations every six months for a three-year period, so that we gain ‘live’ insight in between our three-yearly State of the VCSE sector large research project. Alongside this work we conduct a Pulse Check survey with a variety of VCSE organisations to get a snapshot of what is changing for them each quarter.

This exciting VCS Research and Insight role involves a combination of VCSE engagement and insight work across Salford.

What are we looking for?

Sue Lambert Trust are looking for a resilient and experienced  counsellor ready to take on the challenge of a leadership and management role within an organisation passionate about offering a kind, safe and supportive therapeutic service to survivors of sexual abuse and violence. In this role you would be responsible for the professional development of our team of counsellors as well as supporting both trainee and experienced counsellors in their work with us.  

Background Information:

Sue Lambert Trust provides kind, safe, supportive help for people who have experienced sexual or domestic abuse at some point in their lives.

We provide free, specialist support that enables people to recover, heal and build resilience to face the future. Our support is organized around a three-phased trauma informed approach.

Phase One Groundwork is designed to support clients with practical issues as well as providing stabilisation in preparation for counselling. Around 200 clients per year access this service.

Phase Two Counselling is the core provision and is delivered by 50+ trained counsellor volunteers working with around 300 clients weekly.

Phase Three aims to build resilience and includes interventions such as self-help groups.

We are funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioners Office, Ministry of Justice, National Lottery and several local and national Trusts and Foundations.

With the launch of a new strategy to guide us through to 2026 it is an opportune time to be joining an organization that is ambitious in its support for its clients.

Job Title:Counselling Support and Development Manager

Responsible to: Head of Counselling

Job purpose:

1. To ensure that all counsellors and staff are provided with the skills and knowledge to deliver and develop Sue Lambert Trust services.
2. To support the Head of Counselling to manage a team of staff and counsellors in delivering effective, safe and quality counselling and other appropriate therapeutic services.           
3. To support the Head of Counselling in the development of clinical services, and work collaboratively with the Service Support and Development Manager to implement Trauma Informed Practices (TIP)
4. To support the Head of Counselling in creating a safeguarding culture throughout the organisation.

Main responsibilities:

Operational Delivery

1. To develop and lead a needs-based plan for the learning and development of the counselling team aligned with Sue Lambert Trust strategy.

2. To organise and manage trainee counsellor placements, working in partnership with counsellor training providers to support and develop trainees in their ongoing training.

3. To act as the Senior Counselling Lead for all trainee counsellors, undertaking case management monthly

4. To work collaboratively to develop and support the implementation of consistent working practices across our sites with a focus on our Great Yarmouth office.

5. To lead on the development and training of a dedicated team of EMDR practitioners.

6. To act as one of the designated safeguarding leads within the organisation, providing support to Senior Counselling Leads and counsellors

Service Delivery

1. To provide one to one counselling and other therapeutic services as appropriate in line with the policies and requirements of the organisation

2. To ensure a skilled clinical team can deliver initial assessments, review and top-up calls, effective allocations, and any other services as directed.

3. To line manage the Senior Counselling Leads based in Great Yarmouth

4. To lead on best practice in clinical service delivery as outlined by BACP guidelines and statutory and regulatory requirements throughout the organisation.

5. To liaise where necessary and appropriate with external supervisors to support counsellors and clients.

Service Development

1. To ensure the clinical team collect client outcome measures and experience of service feedback to inform the ongoing development of the organisation.

2. To lead on recruiting, interviewing, inducting, and training new volunteers and trainees

3. To lead on clinical development within the counselling management team working alongside the Service Support and Development Manager to ensure quality of policies and procedures is client centred and trauma aware.

Qualifications:

Zero Carbon Guildford (ZCG) is looking for an experienced, organised and capable project development coordinator to help build and support our projects and enable our fantastic volunteer community to achieve more in their climate and environmental impact goals.

We are a Surrey-based charity offering practical solutions which help residents and businesses cut waste and emissions, remove confusion and misinformation on how to make a difference, and provide local solutions to a global crisis.

Overview & Purpose 

The role of the Project Development Coordinator is to assist existing ZCG projects in achieving maximum impact, and develop new projects where ideas have been put forward or gaps are identified. You will provide project management support, forming teams of self-sufficient volunteers, and provide support in monitoring and evaluation. You will be part of a team comprising paid staff and volunteers. As such, alongside project development your focus will be on supporting and nurturing personal development within the volunteer base whilst driving forward the Charity’s objectives.

An important part of the role is to help effectively communicate these objectives and the associated outcomes of ZCG projects to the public and stakeholders, in line with our engagement strategy. This will include assisting with the coordination of project-focused outreach events, the development of displays, as well as responding to email, social media and telephone enquiries, recognising that every conversation is an opportunity for further collaboration. 

Fundraising is key to the stability of the charity. The Project Development role will help to identify and develop fundraising activities which help projects to be somewhat self-sustaining. This will include identifying available funding pots and understanding project teams’ funding needs, as well as raising funds through events and community fundraising. 

We are advertising this role alongside an Operations Coordinator, and envisage each of these being ~4 days a week, which will include some evening and weekend hours. Tasks 

• Support the successful operation of ZCG projects. This includes:

  • Exploring the feasibility, community need, and impact of new projects and assist with project proposals for Operations & Trustees, and planning and resourcing initial requirements for successful project implementation. .

  • Work with third party organisations to develop joint projects where appropriate

  • Identify and manage fundraising opportunities, such as events, membership structures, donation drives etc. ensuring all activities are within the environmental and social ethos of the charity.
