DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time or Part-time (21-35 hours per week). If part-time agreed then additional hours may sometime be required and can be taken as Time Off In Lieu.
The charity’s Development Manager will slot into the newly-formed Development Directorate, working with the Director of Development to deliver transformational programmes, projects and initiatives across the charity.
The postholder will have the opportunity to drive development across commercial, volunteering and grant-making activities, among others, and will manage a team including the Grants Officer and Volunteer Coordinator.

Founded in 1980, ELF has been raising money to fund improved facilities, better equipment and research at the haematology ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. Today we are the leading patient-led support organisation for families affected by blood cancer in the Southwest and we also now provide transport and counselling services.
Like many charities, we had a couple of difficult pandemic years which affected our fundraising activities. We are now looking for an experienced fundraising professional to become our new Development Manager.
We will need you to support the development and delivery of the charity’s fundraising strategy, with focus on individual giving, legacies and grants. You will have a track record of engaging with stakeholders and be able to develop a strategy for increasing income through individual giving.
We are looking for someone who can offer substantial experience working in a fundraising position and driving an income-generation strategy with demonstrable success in securing gifts of six figures and above from a range of donors.

About this key role
As a valued and integral part of the Fundraising and Communications team, our successful candidate will lead a small sub-team to generate at least £500,000 income each year, including the direct line management of a Senior Fundraising Officer, who you will support to line manage the Fundraising Assistant. We will count on you to implement effective processes and procedures across the Fundraising and collaborating teams, manage and refine processes for recordkeeping and devise, maintain and update our Fundraising Handbook.
You will also be expected to manage the development and implementation of our Individual Giving Strategy and our Individual Giving income stream through single and regular giving appeals, as well as managing a portfolio of challenge events nationally that provides excellent stewardship for a range of participants. Principal Accountabilities

About the role
At a time of growth and of new opportunities for the Motability Foundation, we are looking for a Public Affairs Manager to join our Communications Team and lead our Public Affairs activity for the organisation.

There are an estimated 16 million disabled people in the UK, and this role will play a crucial part in our work to raise awareness of the work of the Motability Foundation, amplify the voices of disabled people and to influence policy.
·This new role will work alongside our new Evidence and Policy Manager, based in our Innovation team, and other colleagues across the organization as well as key partners (Motability Operations), to manage our horizon scanning and monitoring of the political landscape, leading on advising our Governors, CEO and senior management team on actions we need to take, and preparing detailed briefings for engagements, and events with Parliamentarians and senior Ministers. The role holder will develop, implement and lead our Public Affairs and Government Engagement Plan, and proactively identify and develop opportunities to influence and shape policy where it may have a positive impact for disabled people.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. · Keep comprehensive records of all trust and grant fundraising activities and be able to report the impact to funders and stakeholders via various methods.
· Hold high levels of data integrity and be a keen supporter of using technology to support efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
· Help to implement, develop, and then maintain the charity’s CRM system (Salesforce) ensuring all activity is inputted accurately and efficiently and that you contribute towards its continuous improvement.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Policy Manager to join our team. This position is based in the Policy and Public Affairs (PPA) team and reports to the Director of PPA. As part of the External Affairs directorate, we aim to radically improve healthcare for women and girls by influencing positive change within UK Governments.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a small but highly impactful team, taking the lead on issues that are central to the wellbeing of women and girls. You will be responsible for the delivery of the RCOG’s policy strategy and operational plan, working closely with colleagues in PPA, Communications and other teams across the College. You will ensure that the RCOG is at the forefront of policy debates which affect women’s health, and you will work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including women and the RCOG membership, to develop policy solutions to improve the health of women and girls.
