About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to head up development of key partnerships and income streams that will ensure the charity remains financially sustainable and able to deliver our impact at scale. You will be responsible for the assessment of, and managing relationships with, all major new partners. You will be accountable for delivering on an ambitious income generation strategy, and for monitoring and effectively reporting our impact. You will ensure that our impact and the importance of our work is effectively communicated to potential new partners, working closely with the Head of Communications and supported by the Marketing Manager. You will work alongside the Chief Executive and the Head of Finance to develop annual plans and budgets and work closely with the Director of Transformation and School Engagement Manager to ensure projects are secured, fully funded and financially sustainable.
We’re looking for an experienced senior leader, with excellent communication skills, who has been involved in high-value fundraising. We’re looking for someone with genuine passion for our mission, who has the confidence to hit the ground running and articulate why what we’re doing is so important. You need to enjoy working collaboratively, we’re a team that works closely together and the success of this role will come from working very closely with your fellow Directors and the wider team.

Key responsibilities:
● Developing a comprehensive income generation and marketing strategy that supports the delivery of the charity’s objectives and activities
● Manage and maintain existing significant partnerships with key funders (trusts, corporates and major donors), identifying new opportunities to deepen and extend relationships where desirable
● Manage, support and mentor the Development team, leading on strategy and planning for the department to ensure that income generation targets for fundraising are achieved
● Working alongside the Chief Executive and Directors, identify new income opportunities from corporate partnerships and support development of commercial opportunities
● Lead on the development of our impact measurement strategy, strengthening our monitoring, evaluation and impact systems to ensure that we are effectively collecting data that demonstrates our impact
● Responsible for delivering internal and external reporting (including the annual report) that articulates our impact clearly and definitively
● Develop an effective marketing strategy to articulate our impact and the benefits of our programmes to potential new partners
● Working with the Director of Transformations to maintain a healthy sales pipeline of new school/ MAT partners, helping to identify and develop relationships
● Budgeting
● Manage, motivate and develop your team, setting goals and evaluating performance, coaching and motivating staff and supporting professional development and staff wellbeing
● Play a key role in preparing for and ensuring the smooth and effective running of the Strategy & Impact trustee sub-committee
● Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, plans and reports, as necessary for Trustees and external partners
● Ensure we comply with fundraising regulations and best practice
● Contribute equally to the senior leadership team, inputting at organisational level strategy
● Working closely with our Director of Transformation to ensure projects are fully funded and our funders are kept up to date with the latest progress
● Working with the Head of Finance & Systems to ensure the right systems are in place to support our growth (CRM and data management)
Skills & experience:
● You have genuine passion for our mission, to improve kids’ health through transforming food and food education in schools
● Significant experience in a senior fundraising role (Head of / Director) with a strong track record of achievement
● Demonstrable ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
● Understanding of effective impact measurement and communication
● Experience writing reports / presentations / successful grant proposals
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Understanding of charity finance and ability to develop project budgets for funders
● Experience of line management and development of teams
● You enjoy a mix of leadership and strategy, with a positive attitude to rolling up sleeves to get hands-on when the need arises

We are seeking a Head of Brand and Marketing to join our Engagement Team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. This role is pivotal in building the Association's brand and developing a marketing strategy that amplifies our impact for those living with and affected by MND.

What are we looking for?

How you will make a difference
As Business Development and Engagement Manager within the Workplace Mental Health & Training team, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, partnerships, and engagement from corporate and community settings for both Mental Health UK and Rethink Mental Illness. You will work to secure funding from a wide range of sources, including commercial activity, public sector contracts and grant funding, to allow our work to continue and grow.
Working in our National Programmes team, you will ensure that we evaluate, plan for and respond effectively to bids and tenders, lead on the development of proposals, and support service delivery teams in implementing successful tenders/proposals. You will manage a Senior Business Development Officer who supports our work in positioning the organisation to respond to new bids and tenders and, where required, support the implementation of new services.

We’re looking for a skilled, innovation-driven fundraiser to lead the Community Events & Engagement strategy within a high-performing team. Key duties include:

Job Description
The Head of Advocacy and Policy will be responsible for developing an excellent Advice Service and Retention Team to support and advise students effectively to enable excellent student experience and satisfaction.
This role will lead on the development of effective insights, representation and support initiatives/campaigns for students, across our three campuses at Greenwich, Avery Hill and Medway.
This role will enhance work with the diverse student population of the University of Greenwich and lead a dynamic team to ensure students have consistent and accessible services that contribute to positive student experience.
This role sits within the wider Membership Services department, together with other key areas consisting of; Activities, Sport, Academic Communities, Representation and Democracy, we provide a high-quality service for students, that they can shape, steer and be at the heart of.
This postholder will be part of the GSU Senior Leadership Team and will be expected to contribute to department and organisation wide strategic development.
The post holder will:
- Have expert knowledge in areas of in relation to Advice and Retention and policies and legislation relating to such activity
- Support and develop strong student-led communities and campaigns in areas of: Advice, wellbeing and retention so that members can thrive
- Provide line management support to staff so that the team have up to date, specialist advice skills, knowledge and understanding of University regulations, policies and procedures that may affect the work of the Advice service and oversee engagement across Greenwich’s 3 campuses
- Undertake casework and provide expert advice for the team on all aspects of Advice
- Lead on the project management of wellbeing/health promotion campaigns and initiatives throughout the year, as well as any external bids through bodies such as OfS
- Oversee the Retention and Wellbeing Project work, and other relevant projects with external partners
- Lead on insights work relating to retention, wellbeing and support
- Lead on responses to external consultation and enquiry responses, including but not limited to OfS, Department for Education, OIA and Universities UK

- Provide leadership, strategic direction and day to day operational management to the Advocacy and Policy: recruiting and inducting members of staff, motivating, supporting and developing team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles as well as manage performance
- Develop a proactive results driven culture within the team, ensuring agreed objectives and targets are delivered, whilst promoting a collaborative approach to working with internal departments
- Develop succession plans and identify training and development opportunities within the team
- Be accountable for the quality of outputs of the team
- Provide support to the Officer team helping and equipping them, particularly in their roles as representatives and providing pastoral support and guidance.
- Ensure the whole organisation is aware of and understands the work of the Advocacy and Policy Team and its contribution to our strategic objectives
- To maintain expert and up-to-date knowledge on sector policies and regulations relating to advice, retention and student success, providing relevant guidance to officers and staff as required.
- Develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the team to ensure we can adapt to changing students’ needs and priorities, as well as building on successes and preparing for the future.
Strategic Development
- Contribute to the strategic objectives of GSU, with a particular focus on advice, support and wellbeing in relation to the student experience
- Develop and oversee a new and innovative approach to proactive health and wellbeing campaigns that empower students to look after themselves and each other, as well as seeking support
- Lead on Access and Participation Plan Engagement, acting as the key contact on this area with the University.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with relevant senior UoG staff and departments including Student Academic Services, Faculties and our partners at Kent Unio
- Develop and oversee the Advice service to support advocacy initiatives at multiple levels within the University, ensuring both students and University stakeholders view GSU as a credible and reliable source of information on the needs of students.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop and oversee a structured approach to gathering, analysing and reporting on data relating to engagement of students with our services and to student views on key issues relating to retention and success
- Develop and oversee processes of collecting quantitative and qualitative data from casework to analyse trends and inform feedback for the SU and university
- Ensure evaluation mechanism are embedded in the teams working practises and that findings are shared and used to implement learnings with the goal of improving services
- Support Officers by preparing information, statistics and trends about key services to be shared within the University committee cycle
- Be responsible for the implementation of service standards for the Advocacy and Policy Team and to monitor and report on adherence to these standards
- Prepare materials to apply for any relevant quality mark accreditations for the service.
Budget and Financial Management
- Manage a budget relating to Advocacy and Policy including any restricted funds.
- Be responsible for the teams resources, ensuring these are effectively allocated, managed and controlled
- Review and establish processes, systems, polices and where appropriate standard procedures to maximise efficiency ensure deadlines are met and a positive return on investment
- Review and provide narrative for scrutiny at monthly management meetings with the Finance Team
Stakeholder management
- Collaborate with GSU colleagues, particularly the Student Voice and Engagement Teams to ensure we have a consistent approach to how we work with and support students
- Work with students through our representative structures and forums to ensure we shape services students want and need, taking into consideration the varying campus priorities
- Maintain strong relationships with key university staff to develop, deliver and evaluate collaborative projects and interventions supporting advice and retention
- Attend meetings relating to Advocacy and Policy as well as associated areas at both GSU, the University and externally, included, but not limited to regional networks
- Identify opportunities to share best practice and represent the work of GSU and your team to the wider HE community, through conferences and publication.

About this role
The role of the Finance and Payroll Manager is to support the Development and Finance teams to manage and report on restricted income, as well as to manage monthly in-house payroll under the guidance of the Head of Finance. SPANA - The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad is the global charity for working animals in low-income countries. Since 1923, we have supported the welfare of working animals, including donkeys, horses, camels and elephants, in communities that depend on working animals for water, transport, agriculture and their very survival. Today, we support working animals across 26 countries, through a series of global projects and partnerships.
This role will be a part of the Global Programmes team, working alongside colleagues responsible for Education & Social Behaviour Change Communication, and Programme Quality and Delivery. The succesful candidate will liaise with colleagues in the Global Resources, Global Fundraising, Marketing, and Communication departments, and in support of our colleagues across the majority world. The role will report to the Director of Global Programmes, and directly oversee three Technical Animal Health & Welfare Advisors.
You will be responsible for delivering SPANA’s technical animal health and welfare work, relatedly, against the 2023-2027 SPANA strategy and its key performance indicators. Job summary
We are looking for a Chief Executive who can provide leadership, aligned with our valies and manage the organisation, working with the Trustee Board to provide vision and communicate a clear and inspiring strategic direction, implementing change as required.
The main purpose of this role is:
- To lead all staff and volunteers engaged by Motiv8 to successfully achieve objectives in line with Motiv8 valies in an inclusive way
- To develop the policy and strategy of Motiv8 in collaboration with the Board of Trustees
- To oversee and lead implementation of policies and strategy to deliver Motiv8 strategic aims now in the coming years
- To ensure that Motiv8 maintains and develops policies that reinforce inclusion and diversity in the workplace, that addrss all kinds of harrassment and protect minority and youth groups with whom Motiv8 works
- To represent Motiv8 on behalf of the Board of Trustees, to develop relations with our staff members, volunteers, partnership and stakeholder groups
- To further develop Motiv8 in line with the charity's objectives, to implement necessary change and ensure that Motiv8 exhibits ongoing relevance.

About the role
The pivotal role of Global Head of Campaigns and Advocacy at Compassion in World Farming is dedicated help us achieve our mission of ending factory farming by spearheading transformative campaigns on a global scale. This role requires visionary leadership, strategic planning, and innovative thinking to orchestrate impactful public campaigns aligned with legislative advocacy efforts at EU level and globally. Responsible for managing a dedicated campaign team, this position involves collaborating closely with our Global Head of Campaigns (Animals and Environment) and diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, media, and business teams, to maximise campaign impact and elevate Compassion's public profile. The ideal candidate brings proven senior-level expertise in campaigning, a global perspective sensitive to diverse contexts and able to work across all our country offices at an international level, excellent communication and digital skills, and a background in either animal welfare, environmental and sustainability issues, or food and farming sectors. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to lead highly impactful campaigns together with our country offices, specifically focused on achieving animal welfare legislative changes throughout the EU, UK & US and to drive meaningful progress toward a world free from factory farming.

You will be an accomplished strategist, with a track record of impactful campaigning, adept at crafting visionary initiatives to support key legislative changes that support animal welfare and drive us towards an end to factory farming. Your expertise will include navigating complex global landscapes, collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders, and advocating for legislative change. With a background in either animal welfare, environmental issues, or food and farming sectors, you will be able to bring a wealth of experience, and a deep-seated commitment to driving improvements in animal welfare, as well as a commitment to transforming a broken food system. You’ll have exceptional leadership skills, be a strategic thinker, and have a fervent dedication to creating a world free from factory farming.
To succeed in this role as the Global Head of Campaigns and Advocacy (Animal Welfare), a multifaceted skill set is paramount. You will need proven expertise in senior-level campaigning, showcasing strategic acumen and the ability to drive transformative initiatives. Leadership proficiency is essential to guide and inspire a dedicated team effectively. Strategic vision aligned with organisational goals and robust advocacy skills are key to effect legislative changes and engaging diverse stakeholders. Exceptional communication, especially with a diverse international team, a nuanced global perspective, and industry knowledge in animal welfare or related fields are fundamental for navigating complex international landscapes. You will need to be innovative and have a collaborative approach, where you believe in an unwavering commitment to animal welfare and sustainability, supporting and driving impactful change on a global scale.
