Summary
Innovation plays a key role in our drive to increase our Fundraising income and further our strategy to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. In partnership with the Senior Innovation and Development Manager, the Innovation Manager will work across Fundraising Teams to deliver a step change in our income growth in the next 12 months. You will be responsible for delivering exciting iterative and new product development projects. In addition, you'll be working to upskill and empower colleagues from across the charity to become the next generation of innovators at Diabetes UK.

Main Responsibilities
Across 12 months you will be working to embed our innovation strategy; driving forward new product development, showcasing a fresh approach to innovation, and supporting colleagues to embrace innovation. You will be responsible for consulting with Fundraising Teams to identify new opportunities to generate income and provide supporters with an amazing experience. You will lead on bringing new ideas to life by managing the end-to-end innovation process. From undertaking research to uncover insight into target audiences, to running workshop with colleagues to turn insight into amazing propositions. From delivering tests to evaluate new propositions, to working closely with delivery teams to launch new innovations into the market to drive income growth.
Ideal Candidate
Working with Teams from across Fundraising, you'll need to be experienced at engaging and influencing colleagues at all levels. You will be naturally curious, motivated to get under the skin of the charity sector and really understand what makes our supporters tick. While experience working in a dedicated innovation role isn't necessary, experience using tools to uncover insight, facilitate workshops, generate ideas, test propositions, and deliver compelling business cases is essential. Running end-to-end innovation sprints, you will be organised, proactive and confident at managing stakeholders. You'll be able to balance conflicting workstreams to deliver amazing new propositions at pace.

The Exchange is seeking an experienced, talented and driven Venue Hire Manager to maximise venue hire income for The Exchange with responsibility for all aspects of hire events.

Principle Duties:
- Venue Hire Management: Lead for all hire enquiries and bookings from initial conversations through to event delivery and after-care.
- Sales and Business Development: Proactively drive venue hire sales, convert enquiries, and reach budgeted targets, working to develop opportunities with current, returning, and prospective clients. To be conversant with the wider sector, benchmarking against competitor spaces, engaged with external networks and leading on venue hire promotion and marketing opportunities.
- Administration: lead and maintain all enquiries and bookings, communication with internal colleagues to optimise event delivery before, during and after, and develop and maintain accurate monitoring and evaluation reporting.
- Customer Service: provide exceptional service to all event hirers and suppliers with a professional, efficient, and welcoming attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively research and reach-out to new business hire opportunities, exploring new creative opportunities to optimise use of the building and garden, regularly benchmarking The Exchange pricing and proposition.
- Promoting the location through a variety of marketing channels such as social media.
- Responsibility for all venue hires from enquiry to bookings to on-the-day and after care. This includes supervision and scheduling of duty managers, tending to any incidents or queries, liaising with catering services and supervising their requirements and logistics, building security.
- Negotiate and agree venue hire events including final contracts, invoicing, and scheduling.
- Ensure excellent communication with all colleagues to ensure smooth event procedures and positive client outcomes, including cleaning and organising the venue and facilities pre and post event.
- Develop and maintain systems for monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of hire events in context of budget targets and for improving customer service and repeat business.
- Establish best practice procedures and protocol for wide range of clients e.g. private, corporate, charity.
- Develop excellent supplier relationships e.g. event planners, caterers, local companies – to build and promote opportunities to hire spaces and develop a beneficial ‘approved suppliers’ list.
- Operating within rigorous H&S and security frameworks, including taking responsibility for opening and locking up, final building checks.

We have a vacancy for a Flourish (Refugee and Asylum Seekers) Comminity Outreach Worker to join our team, supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health as a primary need, through providing advice, information and holistic support.
Complex needs are defined by the National Complex Needs Alliance as a combination of health needs and social needs.
About the Service
‘Flourish’ is a highly flexible and responsive outreach service developed to meet the needs of refugees and asylum seekers in Hertfordshire. The aim of the service will be to support refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health support as a primary need.
Purpose of Post
- To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with mental ill health.
- Support to build social networks and reduce isolation whilst settling into the Hertfordshire community this includes building a sustainable and empowering peer support network and building confidence and self-esteem.
- To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
- To work in a trauma informed way including awareness of the 6 principles of trauma informed practice, putting the clients emotional and practical needs at the forefront of this work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
- To take allocated referrals from any agencies including the Community Navigators, Borough and District Councils, Herts Help, Housing Providers, Herts Welcomes Refugees, the Refugee Council and self-referrals including walk in contacts at any of the Mind wellbeing centres across the county.
- Hold a caseload of clients, supporting for approx. 10 weeks
- To create a safe space for the individual to be able to explore their feelings and improve their understanding around their mental health.
- To complete a holistic needs assessment.
- Ensure all person centred risk assessments and support plans are completed.
- Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
- Support clients to build their emotional resilience, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
- To provide safeguarding intervention support. This will include responding to problems, which pose an immediate risk.
- To work alongside translators when required to provide a robust package of support for clients.
- To accompany clients to initial visits and appointments as necessary in order to ensure the sustained use of existing support services in the Borough.
- To provide advocacy services to clients experiencing mental ill health.
- To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
- To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working, working with other third sector and VCSE organisations to provide signposting and continuity of care.

As Project Officer you will support the school focused programme work of ABA; plan and deliver identified elements of project and programmes within the team; and, support ABA’s capacity to influence anti-bullying policy and improve anti-bullying practice.

St Mungo’s has embarked on an exciting period of change. We are looking for an organised and determined individual who feels comfortable working in and leading multi-disciplinary teams. Not only should you be driven to work on the most complex projects in the organisation, you should feel comfortable supporting and training colleagues in project techniques to improve general efficiency.
As a Change Manager, you will be part of a central PMO, but will be expected to work across the organisation as we deliver St Mungo’s Transformation Programme.
To be successful in this role, you will have;
- Successful track record of leading and managing large and/or complex change programmes, particularly involving structural, operational and process change.
- Proven success of working with all levels management and leading and influencing teams of people (directly and indirectly).
- Working in a Transformation and/or Business Change environment
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have;
- Strong people skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of Excellent written and verbal communication skills including accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of digital technologies used in internal communications.
- Able to work on own initiative and manage multiple priorities, working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Able to apply skills and experience to St Mungo’s context and deliver change communications that are appropriate as well as effective.
- Demonstrable experience or qualification in a recognised change management technique (PROSCI, ADKAR). If not, then ability and commitment to gain a qualification as part of performance management will be considered.
- To consult, draft materials, and delivery training on change management tools and techniques as requested by the Transformation Programme Manager.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising Officer to join a health related charity. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to move into charity sector or an experienced fundraiser who is keen to grow and develop their experience and expertise across multiple areas of fundraising.
- The role will be split between Community fundraising and major donor (50:50)
- As a Fundraising Officer you will provide general team administration and process support for fundraising; support with Major Gifts thanking, stewardship and recognition.
- You will provide community fundraising support through increased charity visibility across charity hospital sites and implement of new planned workstreams.
In order to be successful, you must have experienced :
- An intuitive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- The ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple work streams and prioritise tasks A good eye for detail and previous experience with administration
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Ability to collaborate with other teams and departments to maximise results
- Positive personal impact and credibility, with the ability to network and build relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally
- Confident ability to engage with members of public and hospital staff about the work of Charity
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience of working in customer- or client-facing role (not essential)
- Experience of working in fundraising for a charitable organisation (not essential)
- Experience in utilising a database to input and extract information (not essential)

The role, 30th Birthday Public Affairs lead will play a key role in managing external relationships with key parliamentarians, and representative bodies. You will bring a network of key contacts to promote and support the importance of the National Lottery to people and communities throughout the UK. You will also play a key role in presenting the National Lottery in an effective and impactful way and manage the delivery of the National Lottery 30th Birthday government relations strategy.
This role is a six month fixed term contract, working full time, 37 hours a week, based in London alongside the wider NLPU Team. It is critical that the person is committed to delivering change and has the dedication to the project, ensuring challenges and tasks are taken through to completion.
You will have the support of your Director, NLPU team and colleagues from across the whole National Lottery family. With a UK-wide remit you will need to be proactive in engaging with multiple teams/senior stakeholders across the twelve National Lottery distributors, the operator, the DCMS and the Gambling Commission.

Essential Criteria
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of public affairs, influencing and advocacy
- Experienced in a policy environment, developing issues and themes

- Ability to coordinate systems and processes and develop effective working relationships to enable collaboration across the fund, for example in relation to managing stakeholders
- Parliamentary and legislative knowledge and understanding
- Excellent understanding of the role that digital skills play in policy and relationship management
- Excellent skills in commissioning research and analysis

Our Youth and Community team based at our North Bristol Hub in Lawrence Weston are looking for a special, talented, and adaptable Youth Worker, to help us strengthen and sustain our range of community and targeted youth programmes across Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton, Sea Mills, Henbury and Avonmouth. You will work alongside our Lead Youth Worker to:
· design, plan, and deliver weekly open access session for young people in Lawrence Weston
· deliver high quality 1:1 service through our Bridging programme across North Bristol
· deliver innovated activities for young people in the community in line with the city-wide Youth Vision.
We are looking for individuals who have:
· Experience of working alongside other statutory and voluntary organisations.
· Able to work a minimum of two evenings per week.
· Previous experience in implementing youth programmes.
· Knowledge of safeguarding practices with young people.
While a relevant qualification in Youth & Community Work would be desirable, we are open to applicants with significant experience instead.
