The Role:
• This is an exciting opportunity as we are looking for a Policy and Advocacy Manager who will be responsible for developing and directing the delivery of Coed Cadw programme of advocacy and campaigning work in Wales.
• You will be responsible for developing relationships across broad policy-influencing audiences to achieve key policy outcomes in line with the Woodland Trust’s goals and objectives.
• Responsible for ensuring the Trust have and are following integrated and focused influencing strategies to achieve our public policy goals.
• Lead the Wales Policy and Advocacy team whilst integrating our policy and campaigning work across the wider Wales team, providing clarity of direction, inspiring our employees and building capabilities and skills, upholding and actively promoting the values and behaviours of the Trust.
• Actively monitor, gather intelligence, understand and analyse relevant areas of Welsh policy and politics, acting on key opportunities. Collaborate with UK colleagues to ensure our policy and advocacy work is supported and aligned across the four nations and ensure consistent campaigning messages with the Trust’s wider communications and influencing strategies and plans.
• This is a hybrid role with travel to the Cardiff office and around the UK as required.

The Candidate:
• This is a key role in our Wales team and for candidates to stand out, we are looking for experience of working within a policy & advocacy or political context.
• Experience in shaping and implementing policy and advocacy or political strategies preferably in the environmental/voluntary sector, providing technical policy input and advice.
• Knowledge of the Welsh Government and Senedd with a strong understanding of current environmental policy, conservation and land management issues. You’ll have awareness of current affairs and processes through legislation, policy and grants in the Welsh context.
• Confident in building and developing partnerships with external and internal stakeholders, able to influence different audiences, to successfully change attitudes, behaviours and/or policy of key stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of teams and stakeholders to ensure the best development of strategies and policies.
• Ability to analyse complex information and be able to communicate in effective ways for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of different levers and approaches that can be used effectively to influence decision-makers.
• This role is based in Wales and will require the successful candidate to undertake travel across Wales and the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of a diverse portfolio of mass participation events, including runs, treks, virtual challenges, and community campaigns.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Proven experience delivering successful mass participation or challenge events, ideally within the charity sector.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, including supporter stewardship and partnership working.
• Experience managing budgets, logistics, and risk assessments for large scale events.
• Confident using digital tools and CRM systems to support event delivery and supporter journeys.
• Creative, proactive, and results driven, with a passion for fundraising and community engagement.
• A collaborative team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

About SPANA

SPANA (The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad) is the global charity for the working animals of the world. Since our foundation in 1923, we have worked where they work, to support the welfare of working animals, including horses, donkeys, mules, oxen, dogs and camels.

About this role

The Programmes Quality and Delivery department is a key unit within SPANA’s Global Programmes Directorate (GPD). The team ensures effective oversight of the design and delivery of working animal health and welfare interventions in collaboration with a range of national NGO partners across more than 20 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Central and South America. SPANA is strengthening the GPD to support partners to develop and deliver transformational and sustainable improvements in working animal welfare. 

Reporting to a Senior Programmes Manager, the Programmes Officer provides essential grant administration and project management support to a portfolio of partners, ensuring effective oversight across the lifecycle of grants. This involves developing effective working partnerships remotely and identifying risks and issues that need to be escalated. The Programmes Officer works closely with technical colleagues responsible for Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL), animal health and welfare, education and behaviour change and the wider organisation (e.g., communications, fundraising, advocacy and policy). 

Contract, location and salary

This role is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This is a UK based position, with 1-2 days per month (or more if preferred) worked from SPANA's office in London.

The Youth Employability Service

CXK delivers the Youth Employability Service (YES) across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. We offer information, advice, support and guidance to young people in academic years 12 and 13 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to explore their options, plan and then take their next steps. We also work with schools supporting young people in year 11 who are at risk of becoming NEET. Liaising with a range of other services, YES is focussed on supporting young people to achieve their potential.

The Team

The YES team support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings. The team assess and action plan with young people referred to the service, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and/ or employment. Working with a wide range of young people, the team approach is focused, creative and persistent, building on young peoples’ confidence and motivation alongside their skills and personal growth.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Adviser.

The Youth Support Adviser (YSA) is a key role in the Youth Employability Service, acting as the first point of contact for 16-18-year-olds who are NEET or at risk of NEET.  You will support with first appointments and initial assessments of need, when young people are referred to YES, alongside supporting your caseload.  Guiding them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their Post 16 provisions.

Working across the East of the county with schools and FE Colleges you will play a key role in ensuring that young people — receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. So strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

You will maintain regular contact with the young people you support, plus be a pivotal part of the YES Tracking Team, where you will use various communication methods (phone, text, WhatsApp, email, face-to-face) to engage and support young people and offer our support.

About You

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working with young people and looking to progress.

Ideally you understand the post-16 education and training landscape in East Sussex and the importance of person-centred support. You will be a confident communicator and collaborator, able to manage a varied caseload and make a genuine impact on the lives of the young people you support.

With significant recent growth in employee numbers and with staff based both in London and international locations, the HR function is looking to continue to strengthen its processes to provide excellent support throughout the employee lifecycle. Continuing the improvement journey already started, you will coordinate the induction processes for new employees as well as supporting regular HR processes linked to probation and performance reviews and employee communications.

The Coordinator will take a lead in bringing new ideas on how to develop the learning programme as well as coordinating relevant training and developing a more consistent approach to training provision. The role will also have the opportunity to contribute to optimising our remaining HR processes and procedures, helping to identify opportunities for improvements and taking ownership of the introduction of a new HR system to provide easy to access services for staff.

The Key Responsibilities we will entrust you with:

HR administration

• Support Senior Manager, HR & Operations in day-to-day delivery of ISEAL´s HR provision
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, contracts, and HR records in line with legal requirements in the UK and other locations of employment
• Support onboarding processes, coordinating and overseeing employee inductions, including ownership of keeping Employee Handbook up to date
• Help with and monitor the implementation and administration of all HR policies, procedures and tools
• Develop and deliver guidance and training for ISEAL staff and line managers about HR policies, practices and procedures

Essential experience, knowledge and attributes

• Experience working in the HR function in a small to medium sized organisation

About 500k 

Our vision is a church in every village in India: an India where every person has a chance to hear the good news of Jesus. 

We do this through sending Indian people to plant churches in unreached Indian villages, in partnership with local Indian leaders and Bible Colleges. Our culture is radical, sacrificial and Jesus-centric. We value effectiveness and working smart as well as hard to reach as many villages as possible. About the role

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) you will be forming a partnership with the CEO to lead 500k. 

You will be unlocking the growth of this ministry as well as sharpening our impact and making it sustainable. You will be a key part of enabling us to achieve our goal of growing 5x over the next 5-10 years.

As COO you will have a prominent role in creating and achieving our annual growth plan. You will be responsible for the organisation’s day-to-day operations, people management, systems efficiency, financial stewardship, safeguarding and compliance requirements. You will anticipate and plan for our growing needs with the development of new people and systems.

The current set-up of our team is that all our 17 paid staff are in India. Our 3 UK staff, (including the CEO) work for 500k bivocationally and are not paid. They work at FTEs of 70%, 20% and 15%. This arrangement has been reached through the outworking of our values of radical generosity, radical dependence on the Lord, and seeking to maximally empower our Indian team.

For the last 18 months we have been discerning whether to scale our current arrangement (with more bivocational or support-raising staff in the West) or whether to switch to a salaried model for our UK team. 

We desire the new COO to be a part of this discernment process. You should be open to the options of fully or partially support-raising your own salary, or working bivocationally, alongside the option of being salaried by 500k. Having said that, we are committed to landing on a clear plan with you prior to your commencement in the role. A full time role is preferable, but we are open for your commitment to 500k being FTE 70% or more, particularly if the bivocational option is being pursued.

As Head of Policy you will work closely with the CEO to develop and execute a four-year influencing plan.  Together we’ll aim to shift local and national incentives on inclusion by 2030, which see the national trend of rising suspension and absence begin to fall.

Developing implementation expertise in the middle tier

In your first six months, you will advise on the internal development of a new programme for middle tier policy actors: multi-academy trust and local authority leaders.  You will support the Programme team in its design, to plan strategically for the recruitment of trusts and local authorities, and you will plan the research and influencing work which will seek to share their success nationally.

Building the evidence base

In your second six months, you will work with the CEO to build out our research function. Your influencing plan will include how The Difference can learn from the work across our multi-academy trust, local authority and internal AP pioneer partners over the next four years, to develop influential publications. Research work ahead will include publishing sector-facing publications of The Difference’s own research, carried out by our research lead and associates; alongside managing external contractors and internal colleagues to bid for and deliver aligned research disseminating our ideas.

Person Specification

Essential – We are looking for someone with the following knowledge, experience and skills, though you may be stronger in some areas than others:
 

• Deep expertise in education policy, particularly on the topic of lost learning and the various policy and political debates, including areas of controversy, surrounding this policy topic. 

• Strategic thinker with a proven track record in identifying policy windows and designing activities that lead to meaningful national policy change. 

• Excellent relationship builder, who brings with them their own network of influential stakeholders and has a plan for building new relationships. Adept at navigating tricky situations and explaining complex, sometimes difficult, messages.

• Expert convener with a strong knowledge of the education sector, including which schools, trusts and local authorities are influential and experience in bringing a variety of perspectives together to generate consensus. 

• Persuasive and clear writing style for publication, including reports, press, blogs and ghost writing for members of the senior leadership team, often based on consensus positions, and designed to communicate key messages for impact. 

• Confidence and credibility in communicating nuanced messages in a contentious landscape, in writing, verbally and in public (e.g. on panels), to raise the profile of The Difference. 

• Strong project manager who can design systems and processes to keep self, team and other stakeholders on task and on time. Experience of designing programmes of work and monitoring their effectiveness. Flexible project management style that can adapt to a changing environment. Confidence in managing a variety of stakeholders and supporting them to deliver on time.

Specific responsibilities:
1.To assist the Support Service Manager in managing the delivery of specialist, trauma-informed support to adults and children living in refuge, recognising the impact of domestic or sexual abuse, harm or violence, and responding with empathy, respect, and consistency.
2.Contribute to a refuge environment that is compassionate, equitable, and grounded in integrity -where every individual feels safe, heard, and supported.
3.Manage Safeguarding across the service, complying with internal and external policy and legislation, authorise adult and child referrals maintaining a trauma-informed, non-judgemental stance that prioritises dignity and safety
4.Provide line management to Team Leaders and Support Workers in line with Cyfannol’s policies and values, leading recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and development in an inclusive and engaging way.
5.Key Contributor alongside Service Manager in risk compliance, supporting team members to regularly assess and positively managing risk in an inclusive and enabling way.
6.Manage the delegated aspects of budgetary responsibility including some purchasing, work closely with the Finance department.
7.Attend Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), core group and other similar meetings.
8.Provide support team with case management and direction, providing direct support for emergency/ crisis situations, complex cases, team member absence, when more than one worker are required.
9.Review complex or serious concerns or breaches that are impacting maintenance of licence/ contracts and escalate to Service Manager when appropriate

About the Role

As Fundraising Manager, you will lead the development and stewardship of strategic relationships with key corporate partners, stakeholders, and clients, playing a central role in driving corporate income. Working closely with senior leaders, you will help expand the organisation’s income and impact through high‑value corporate partnerships. What We're Looking For:

Education and experience
