The DRSGs bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, and people living with or affected by diabetes to identify research gaps, shape research priorities, and drive activity that improves the lives of people affected by diabetes. Through workshops, reports, funding recommendations, and collaborative projects, the DRSGs help ensure that diabetes research is both scientifically rigorous and informed by lived experience.
The bulk of this role focuses on coordinating the smooth running of the DRSG and related activities, including managing the shared inbox, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and papers, recording high-quality minutes, and acting as a key point of contact for members. Beyond these core responsibilities, you will play an active role in supporting projects and helping shape member involvement as the DRSG evolves. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will work with the leadership team to support project objectives, processes, policies and procedures.

The Opportunity

About the role
This coordinator role sits within our Mass Participation team in our Income Generation directorate. The role supports participants in mass participation events – both organised by third parties including the London Marathon or bespoke Shelter events that you will have responsibilities for.
The main objective of the co-ordinator role will be to deliver challenge and bespoke events, from planning and set up, pulling together financial budgets to meeting supporter recruitment and income targets through to the delivery of event day and evaluating results.
This role will give you the exciting opportunity to work on our busy third-party programme, enabling delivery of events including London Marathon, London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Hackney Half and support the development of new bespoke products.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a variety of mass participation events with the chance to be involved in event delivery, supporter stewardship and volunteer management for some of the most prestigious events in the charity calendar.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

4. Compile data and reports on business and volunteer activity as directed by the Senior Project Manager on the Secondary Team. Work with the wider team to produce annual impact reports and volunteer data reports on specific projects, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.

What is it like to work for us?

About the Role
