About the role
We are seeking an ambitious, strategic and relationship-driven Head of Corporate and Employer Partnerships to lead and deliver a national, high-impact partnerships strategy. This role is central to our growth plans and will generate sustainable income, deepen corporate and employer engagement and create tangible employment outcomes for young people. You will combine commercial instinct with social purpose - building partnerships that deliver measurable impact for young people and clear strategic value for corporate and employer partners.
Key information
- Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 dependant on experience
- Contract: Full time, Monday-Friday, 9.30 – 5.30mpm with some out of hours work needed for events such as Spear Celebration
- Annual leave: 28 days annual leave (including Christmas gift days) plus bank holidays

Person Specification
- A practising Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Spear, and our mission to equip and support young people facing barriers to employment
- Significant senior-level experience in corporate fundraising, corporate social responsibility, business development or strategic partnerships
- Significant experience within the corporate sector, with an established network of relationships across national businesses and employers
- Proven experience of delivering growth strategies and achieving income target, with a strong track record of securing and managing high-value (£100k+) partnerships
- Demonstrable experience of leading and developing high-performing teams
- Credible, confident and persuasive communicator with excellent relational skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite
- Resourceful and proactive, ability to manage multiple priorities, drive projects forward to completion and establish effective processes and structures

We have a great opportunity for a passionate Head of Corporate Partnerships to join a national disability charity that supports people with complex needs to live connected, fulfilling lives. This is an exciting moment to join an organisation implementing a new CRM system and organisational strategy, where corporate income plays a critical role in delivering long-term impact.
As part of this pivotal leadership role, you will develop and deliver an ambitious corporate fundraising strategy, leading a team to build a multi-year pipeline of six and seven-figure partnerships. You will diversify corporate income across strategic partnerships, charity of the year programmes, commercial partnerships and more, while modelling inclusive, values-led leadership. This will also see you working across a large and complex organisation, creating compelling proposals, managing high-value relationships, and ensuring exceptional stewardship that maximises value for both partners and the charity.
To be successful as the Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will need:
- Proven experience securing and managing six and seven-figure multi-year corporate partnerships
- Significant leadership experience within the not?for?profit sector, including delivering strategies that transform income
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

Key Responsibilities
Impact Measurement
o Design and oversee frameworks for monitoring and evaluating strategic outcomes.
o Prepare and present impact reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
o Support the wider staff team in gathering data to inform and underpin the Impact Framework.
Partnerships Development
o Build and maintain partnerships with RankNet members, other funders, government, and community organisations.
o Negotiate and manage collaborative projects to maximise reach and effectiveness.
Place-based Programmes
o Lead the place-based programmes (currently Plymouth and Sunderland) and design frameworks for monitoring and evaluating strategic outcomes.
o Collaborate with other funders and partners to achieve shared goals.
o Represent the Foundation at local, regional, and national events that focus on place-based work.
Community Engagement
o Develop and implement strategies to strengthen relationships with RankNet members, partners, and funders.
Strategic Leadership
o Contribute to organisational strategy, identify emerging trends and opportunities for social impact.
o Translate organisational strategy into clear, measurable objectives, ensuring alignment across teams and programmes.
o Manage strategic risk in relation to funders and partnerships, reputation and delivery, ensuring ethical, inclusive and sustainable practice.
Advocacy and Representation
o Serve as the public face of the Foundation at funder and partnership events.
o Advocate for causes aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
