About the role

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the smooth running of operational, HR, recruitment, governance, travel and organisational processes.

Working remotely as part of a small central team, you will coordinate a wide range of activities and act as a key point of contact for colleagues, trustees, candidates, volunteers and external service providers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting recruitment, including posting vacancies, managing applications, initial sifting and coordinating interviews
  • Drafting contracts and routine HR documentation
  • Maintaining personnel records, references and signed documentation
  • Coordinating employee onboarding and departures, including IT equipment and account provision
  • Preparing and circulating Board and Committee papers
  • Supporting risk register updates, insurance renewals and policy reviews
  • Administering systems including Sage Expenses and Adobe licences
  • Coordinating IT procurement and supporting compliance activities
  • Arranging US business travel and reviewing monthly travel reports
  • Responding to volunteer enquiries and administering volunteer agreements
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for senior leaders and trustees

About you

You will be a reliable and detail-focused administrator with experience in an administrative, operations or office support role. You will be comfortable managing several priorities at once and working independently within a fully remote environment.

You will also have:

  • Experience supporting recruitment and HR administration
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The confidence to coordinate multiple processes and stakeholders
  • A professional and discreet approach to confidential information
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Full right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available
  • A suitable home workspace

Experience within a charity, international NGO or global organisation would be beneficial but is not essential. Applications are welcomed from candidates qualified through relevant experience.

About the organisation

You will join an international charity that works with artisan communities to protect cultural heritage, support traditional craft skills and create opportunities that transform lives. The organisation has a small central team working closely with colleagues, partners, trustees and supporters around the world.
