People Advisor
Location: Hampton (with occasional travel to Guildford)
Salary: £29,820 + benefits
Contract: Permanent | Full-time (37.5 hours)
MLC Partners are currently working with a well-respected charity that is looking to appoint a People Advisor to join their People & Culture team.

The Role
As People Advisor, you will support the delivery of a high-quality HR service across the organisation. Acting as a key point of contact for managers and employees, you’ll provide guidance and support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and induction processes
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries from managers and employees
- Assisting with employee relations matters and providing policy guidance
- Supporting HR compliance and best practice across the organisation
- Maintaining and developing HR systems
- Working closely with the People & Culture team to support organisational initiatives
About You:
- Previous experience in an HR / People Advisor or HR Officer role
- Strong understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle
- Confident supporting managers with HR queries and policy guidance
- Organised with strong attention to detail and systems skills
- A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in supporting people

We're looking for a proactive and solutions-focused People Adviser to join a collaborative People & ER team. We are seeking a candidate that has experience managing ER cases, particulary sickness absences.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, partnership working, and making a real impact across the employee lifecycle. The role is interim 3-6 months.
What you'll be doing
- Provide generalist HR support to managers and staff, offering clear, practical advice on a range of people matters.
- Manage and coach on employee relations cases, aiming for early and informal resolutions wherever possible.
- Maintain accurate people data and produce timely workforce reports and insights.
- Support organisational development initiatives, including training sessions and culture-enhancing projects.
- Contribute to change programmes, policy development, and continuous improvement work.
- Build strong relationships across your business areas to understand needs and shape people solutions.
- Champion equity, diversity and inclusion in everything you do.
What we're looking for
- Solid generalist HR experience, including ER casework.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in analysing people data and turning insight into action.
- Someone proactive, organised and collaborative, with a passion for creating a positive employee experience.
