The London Irish Centre is seeking an experienced, compassionate and knowledgeable Advice Worker to join our committed team. In this role, you will work directly with clients to deliver accredited advice and practical guidance, helping them navigate complex systems and secure the support they need. The Advice Service is dedicated to enhancing income, alleviating poverty, and ensuring secure housing for community members throughout London. Our goal is to empower individuals by facilitating access to appropriate support through a strength-based and person-centered approach. As an integral part of the London Irish Centre's Community services, the Advice Service collaborates with our Support Service, Citizenship and Identity, Health Navigation, Community Programmes (responsible for events and activities), and our specialized Survivor Integrated Service. Main Duties

We are recruiting an Investment Manager – Portfolio to take a leading role in the delivery of our existing portfolio including on special situations and exits.
You will take ownership of performance and manager relationships across a broad portfolio of social impact investments. You will build relationships with senior leaders at our fund managers and take responsibility for how these investments perform against their financial, social impact and systems change goals. You will also oversee several treasury holdings, held for financial return and sustainable outcomes, that support how we manage liquidity.

Our client is a small, community-focused charity tackling poverty and food insecurity in one of North West London’s most disadvantaged communities. As Interim Advice Manager you will oversee the daily delivery of our client’s busy advice service, overseeing a small team of staff and volunteers, driving quality and compliance, and helping shape future service development. Brief role description

It connects young people with meaningful employment opportunities through a combination of one-to-one mentoring and employment support, group workshops, employer events, digital training, work experience and apprenticeships.
As part of a small team, the Education and Skills Liaison will lead on engaging, developing and managing relationships with schools, youth and community groups, military charities, the MOD Education Team, the SCiP Alliance, Families Federations, HIVE and other key stakeholders to advocate for children and young people from Forces families.

The successful post holder will have excellent communications skills with the ability to provide accurate, often complex information in a clear and empathic way, offering advice over the phone and by email.
In this role you will receive several weeks of extensive specialist training based on the current legislation relevant to older people's rights and welfare, enabling you to offer an in-depth advice service to phone and email enquirers from across England. You will help them to understand and implement their legislative rights in areas such as community care, housing, income and benefits and many other issues related to later life.
This role offers hybrid working between home and our offices in either Blackpool or Ashburton (a robust home broadband connection is essential). This means you would be expected to attend office a minimum of once every 3 months, although this can be more if you prefer. You may be asked to attend office more regularly than these minimum requirements. You will need to live within an easily commutable distance of the office either by car or public transport, we suggest up to 1hr 30mins commute.
This role is a 35-hour working week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

About the role
Our Service Delivery Managers are responsible for a portfolio of advice and casework projects through a range of funded programmes. This role focuses on local projects delivering financial inclusion support like debt and benefits. You will give line management and ensure ensuring teams are delivering funding and quality targets. You will work closely with the funders and manage stakeholder relationships. There will be the opportunity to develop those relationships and support with bid writing as well as over see social policy work and support wider teams through your leadership skills.
Advisors work from different locations including outreaches, so you will get the chance to travel and see some of the amazing areas across West Sussex from the coast to rural, Towns and Villages too.
